    : The Trilogy of Dignified Human Characters and Its Implications for Education. The present study describes human characters making up unified personality reqisite for the attainment of better life quality. These characters can be worked about through cultural transformation, particularly, life-long education. Analysis of the national characters as stipulated in the preamble of the Indonesian Constitution (UUD 1945), interviews with notable public figures, first-hand observations of eastern-western cultural contacts in the East West Center, analysis of the Islamic teachings, and analysis of the global dynamics were made. All these indicate that Indonesian people as members of the global community have the intents to arrive at dignified life requiring the trilogy of characters including peace, independence, and justice. The corollary is that in order to materialize quality life, cultural transformation through life-long education centering around the notions of peace, independence, and justice is inevitable

    Daya Prediksi Hasil Uji Kompetensi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan daya prediksi hasil uji kompetensi siswa SMK Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan Program Keahlian Gambar Bangunan terhadap kesempatan kerja di bidang konstruksi bangunan. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif analitik. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa pada SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan Program Keahlian Gambar Bangunan, sedangkan sampel adalah siswa SMK sebanyak 90 orang siswa. Data hasil uji kompetensi diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi, sedangkan data tentang kesempatan kerja di bidang konstruksi bangunan diperoleh dengan angket. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Gambaran umum hasil uji kompetensi siswa SMK Bandung Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan Program Keahlian Gambar Bangunan sebesar 70% berada pada kategori baik. (2) Kesesuaian kompetensi yang diujikan dengan tugas pekerjaan di bidang konstruksi bangunan termasuk kategori baik. (3) Daya prediksi didasarkan pada besarnya sumbangan yang diberikan oleh hasil uji kompetensi dalam merebut kesempatan kerja di bidang konstruksi bangunan sebesar 20,1%. Dengan uji kompetensi diharapkan siswa dapat memunyai kompetensi yang sesuai dengan dunia kerja sehingga memunyai kesempatan kerja yang lebih besar

    Enhancing Vocational Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Society 5.0 with Flipbook and Augmented Reality Learning Media

    The era of Society 5.0 demands that human resources possess critical thinking skills in response to rapid changes in the field of education, with Vocational High Schools (VHS) playing a central role in shaping students to be critical and creative. To achieve optimal results, further breakthroughs in the use of educational technology are needed, such as the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR)-based flipbooks in the vocational school environment. This study aims to evaluate the level of critical thinking skills among vocational school students. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with descriptive quantitative data analysis. This research was conducted with 64 tenth-grade students at a vocational school in Bandung. The instruments used to obtain data included critical thinking skills tests. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative analysis to evaluate the improvement of students' understanding and critical thinking skills. The research data was tested using normality test, homogeneity test, independent test, and N-Gain. Research data indicates that the use of AR-based flipbooks significantly enhances student comprehension, with an N-gain value of 0.6 observed in the experimental class.     Kontribusi Kompensasi Dan Motivasi Mengajar Terhadap Kinerja Mengajar Guru

    The study objective was to determine the contribution of compensation and motivation to teach the teaching performance of teachers in Public Elementary School. The method used is descriptive analysis, associative and comparative quantitative approach, through correlational data analysis techniques using parametric statistics. 157 sample was divided into two categories of 97 certified teachers and 60 non-certified teachers. From the analysis of the data found that the compensation and motivation of teachers to teach in Primary School in both categories, while the teaching performance of teachers in public elementary school in the category of very good. Compensation contributed to the teacher\u27s teaching performance is strong enough for teacher certification and non-certified teachers. Contribution of motivation to teach teachers to teach to the performance strong enough for teacher certification and lower for non-certified teachers. Contribution of compensation and motivation to teach the teaching performance of teachers is strong enough for teacher certification and non-certified teachers. And there are differences in compensation, motivation, teaching and teachers\u27 teaching performance between teacher certification and non-certification

    Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SDIT) Fithrah Insani harus memberikan layanan jasa pendidikan yang berkualitas. Untuk itu perlu didukung dengan kualitas informasi akademik yang akurat, tepat, dan cepat menggunakan Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) Akademik yang baik. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisis implementasi SIM Akademik berbasis teknologi informasi di SDIT Fithrah Insani dan efektivitasnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang menganalisis kebutuhan dan perencanaan strategis implementasi SIM akademik serta evaluasi efektivitas implementasinya. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi kemudian diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis value chain dan analisis SWOT, analisis efektivitas implementasi SIM dilakukan dengan menggunakan model kesuksesan sistem informasi DeLone McLean yang terdiri atas tiga dimensi kualitas yaitu kualitas informasi, sistem, dan pelayanan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah SDIT Fithrah Insani memiliki kekuatan internal dan peluang yang tinggi untuk mengimplementasikan SIM Akademik berbasis teknologi informasi. SIM yang dipilih adalah Sistem Informasi Sekolah berbasis web yang dibuat oleh Jaringan Informasi Bersama Antar Sekolah (JIBAS). Dan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi tersebut efektif dengan tingkat efektivitas sebesar 83.21% dari kriteria yang diharapkan. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah agar melakukan implementasi sepenuhnya SIM Akademik yang ada, dan perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan yang menguji dampak implementasi SIM Akademik ini. Islamic Integrated Primary School (SDIT) Fithrah Insani must provide quality education services. For it must be supported by the quality of academic information that is accurate, precise, and quick. It can use an Academic Management Information System (MIS). This study aimed to analyze the implementation of information technology based Academic MIS in SDIT Fithrah Insani and its effectiveness. The method used is a qualitative method of analyzing requirements and strategic planning implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of Academic MIS implementation. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and study documentation was processed and analyzed using the method of value chain analysis and SWOT analysis, analysis of the effectiveness of MIS implementation is done using information systems success model of DeLone McLean of three-dimensional quality of the quality of information, systems, and services. Conclusions of this study is SDIT Fithrah Insani has internal forces and high chance to implement information technology based Academic MIS. Selected MIS is a web-based School of Information Systems made by the Jaringan Informasi Bersama Antar Sekolah (JIBAS). And analytical results show that an effective information system to rate the effectiveness of 83.21% of the expected criteria. Recommendations of this study is to fully implement the existing Academic MIS, and further studies will be needed to test the impact of the implementation of this academic MIS

    Model Pengembangan Kapasitas Manajemen Sekolah (School Capacitybuilding) Untuk Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan

    Rendahnya mutu pendidikan yang ditandai dengan rendahnya profesionalisme pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan; kurangnya ketersediaan dan pemanfaatan sarana-prasarana; lemahnya penggalian, manajemen dan akuntabilitas keuangan; dan kurangnya prakarsa/inisiatif berinovasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum merupakan akar masalah perlunya peningkatan kapasitas manajemen sekolah dalam merespons kebutuhan stakeholders dan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan. Tiga segitiga sama sisi kapasitas yaitu kapasitas individu, kapasitas organisasi, kapasitas kepemimpinan menjadi fokus kajian pengembangan kapasitas manajemen sekolah. Penelitian yang melibatkan mahasiswa ini secara intensif menggunakan metode R&D dalam rekabangun model yang paling feasibel untuk membangun kapasitas manajemen sekolah yang efektif dan efisien pada SMA di Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengembangan kapasitas manajemen sekolah dimulai dari peningkatan kemampuan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan profesional yang dilandasai pengembangan diri secara individual dan kelompok, dilakukan secara kontinu dan dengan penilaian kinerja yang valid. Alat untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan bagi pengembangan kapasitas manajemen adalah kolegialitas dan prinsip pelaksanaannya adalah berkelanjutan melalui suatu action plan yang terukur. Model yang dikembangkan adalah 4CeeS untuk kepemimpinan bintang 5. 4CS (Casing, Communicating, Competencies, Contribution, Sample), Bintang lima 2 dimensi (Dimensi 1 : spirit-self dicipline, relationship-heart, purpose; Dimensi 2: Constructivistic Leadership-Valuebased leadership-servant leadership; transformationalleadership;visionary leadership)The low quality of education in Indonesia has been indicated by several phenomena, such as the low quality of teachers' and educational staffs professionalism; the lack of facility, deficiency of educational financing in terms of absorption, budgeting, and accountability; the lack of educational innovations in developing curriculum. Those fundamental problems indicate the need of improvement in terms of capacity development for school management that will be able to response to stakeholder's needs and scientific development. Importantly, there are three important aspects that should be kept in mind to develop the capacity of school management. Those important aspects are individual, organizational, and leadership capacity. To construct a feasible model that will be able to build an efficient and effective senior high school management in West Java-Indonesia, this study employed a research and development (R&D) methodology. The findings revealed that the development of school management was started from the improvements done by teachers and administrators underlined. The improvements made were laid on the foundation of individual and organizational development through managerial tools. One of the tools that could be used was collegiality. It was recommended therefore that the collegiality should be based on measurable action plans that lead to a 4CS model — Casing, Communicating, Competencies, Contribution, and Sample. 4CS model is adopted from five-star leadership that has two dimensions. When the first dimension consists of self-discipline spirit, affective relationship, and purpose, the second dimension consists of constructive, value-based, servant, transformational, and visionary leadership

    This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of learning facilities utilization and study program staff performance towards quality of academic services for study program at the School of Postgraduate Studies Indonesia University of Education. The methode used in this study is a survey methode with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The sampled-subject are students from 36 existing courses at the School of Postgraduate Studies Indonesia University of Education amounting to 352 student. The result show that the general picture of the quality of academic services for study program at School of Postgraduate Studies Indonesia University of Education are in the category. As for the use of learning facilities in the fairly well category, and study program staff performance is in the good category. In partial, utilization of the facilities and study program staff performance have a significant influence on the quality of academic services for study program. So is the same as if seen that the simultaneous learning facilities utilization and study program staff performance a significant influence on the quality of academic services for study program

    Peningkatan kesadaran kritis melawan berita palsu dan ujaran kebencian melalui literasi digital

    Most villages in Indonesia, such as Bugel Village, are vulnerable to the spread of hate speech and fake news online. This fake news often contains elements of hate speech against specific groups, such as ethnicity, religion, race, or class (referred to as SARA), which can trigger division and conflict within society. Therefore, it is important for the community to have a critical awareness strengthened through digital literacy, so that they can counter hate speech and fake news. The community service activity carried out by the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in Bugel Village, Tasikmalaya District, aimed to enhance digital literacy among the community. This activity involved 30 participants from various social strata, including village heads and farmers, focusing on digital literacy education to identify and counter the spread of fake news and hate speech online. Lecture and demonstration methods were used, and participants underwent pretests and posttests to measure improvements in understanding and application of digital literacy. The results showed significant improvement; the average pretest score for understanding increased from 55.8 to 85.8, and for application, from 65 to 86.1 in the posttest. Participants' satisfaction with the training was quite high, averaging 4.09. This activity successfully demonstrated the importance of digital literacy in the community, especially in facing digital information challenges such as fake news and hate speech, and emphasized the need for ongoing efforts to develop digital literacy in the community.Sebagian besar desa di Indonesia, seperti Desa Bugel, memiliki kerentanan terhadap penyebaran ujaran kebencian dan berita palsu di dunia maya. Berita palsu ini sering kali berisikan unsur ujaran kebencian terhadap kelompok-kelompok tertentu, seperti suku, agama, ras, atau golongan (disebut sebagai SARA), yang dapat memicu perpecahan dan konflik dalam masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi masyarakat untuk memiliki kesadaran kritis yang diperkuat melalui literasi digital, agar mereka dapat melawan ujaran kebencian dan berita palsu ini.  Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia di Desa Bugel, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, bertujuan meningkatkan literasi digital di kalangan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 30 peserta dari berbagai lapisan masyarakat, termasuk kepala desa dan petani, dengan fokus pada edukasi mengenai literasi digital untuk mengidentifikasi dan melawan penyebaran berita palsu dan ujaran kebencian di dunia maya. Metode ceramah dan demonstrasi digunakan, dan para peserta menjalani pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan penerapan literasi digital. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan; nilai rata-rata pretest pemahaman meningkat dari 55.8 menjadi 85.8, dan pada aspek penerapan, dari 65 menjadi 86.1 di posttest. Kepuasan peserta terhadap pelatihan cukup tinggi, dengan rata-rata 4.09. Kegiatan ini berhasil menunjukkan pentingnya literasi digital dalam masyarakat, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan informasi digital seperti berita palsu dan ujaran kebencian, serta menekankan perlunya upaya berkelanjutan untuk mengembangkan literasi digital di masyaraka
