Synthesis, thermodynamic properties, and microscopic magnetic model of ilinskite-type KCu5_{5}O2_2(SeO3_3)2_2Cl3_3 built by corner-sharing Cu4_4 tetrahedra are reported, and relevant magnetostructural correlations are discussed. Quasi-one-dimensional magnetic behavior with the short-range order around 50\,K and the absence of long-range order down to at least 2\,K is observed experimentally and explained in terms of weakly coupled spin ladders (tubes) with a complex topology formed upon fragmentation of the tetrahedral network. This fragmentation is rooted in the non-trivial effect of the SeO3_3 groups that render the Cu--O--Cu superexchange strongly ferromagnetic.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figure

Background: Ethics support services are growing in Europe to help doctors in dealing with ethical difficulties. Currently, insufficient attention has been focused on the experiences of doctors who have faced ethical difficulties in these countries to provide an evidence base for the development of these services. Methods: A survey instrument was adapted to explore the types of ethical dilemma faced by European doctors, how they ranked the difficulty of these dilemmas, their satisfaction with the resolution of a recent ethically difficult case and the types of help they would consider useful. The questionnaire was translated and given to general internists in Norway, Switzerland, Italy and the UK. Results: Survey respondents (n = 656, response rate 43%) ranged in age from 28 to 82 years, and averaged 25 years in practice. Only a minority (17.6%) reported having access to ethics consultation in individual cases. The ethical difficulties most often reported as being encountered were uncertain or impaired decisionmaking capacity (94.8%), disagreement among caregivers (81.2%) and limitation of treatment at the end of life (79.3%). The frequency of most ethical difficulties varied among countries, as did the type of issue considered most difficult. The types of help most often identified as potentially useful were professional reassurance about the decision being correct (47.5%), someone capable of providing specific advice (41.1%), help in weighing outcomes (36%) and clarification of the issues (35.9%). Few of the types of help expected to be useful varied among countries. Conclusion: Cultural differences may indeed influence how doctors perceive ethical difficulties. The type of help needed, however, did not vary markedly. The general structure of ethics support services would not have to be radically altered to suit cultural variations among the surveyed countries

Accounting Information Systems today has an important role to the progress of an organization included in the business world. The problem that often arises in small and medium enterprises, among others on the system transactions are still done manually, by relying on paper for archiving enterprise data. Of course, such things will be difficult to control and report transaction data namely finance Production Cost and Process Cost. An application system that can help the process along with the transaction data report is required which can present useful information for interested parties to address such problems. The fact that there are still many small and medium-class companies (SMEs) still doing transaction processing, financial records and preparing reports both reports transactions and financial statements of the company manually. Improving the IT mastering is one of the important factors that need to be considered for small and medium enterprises and it also can develop the business wheel. IT development has been moving very rapidly, both in terms of hardware and software which can help the company\u27s performance. One of SMEs in Kebumen district is tile company famous brand of Sokka. Most companies tile in the district Kebumen still use manual accounting system. Tile Company Brands Sokka does the production process using the production machine. Where the process Brands Sokka tile production company produces several kinds of products in the form types of tile press generated from period to period is always the same. The existence of accounting information system is expected to make management transactions and corporate finance better and accurate, and can help entrepreneurs and policy makers in managing the company\u27s finances and taking policy\u27s company as well as scoring at the performance of the company. Therefore, the authors apply a Cost Information System applications Process For Small And Medium Enterprises In Improving the Quality of Production Process using microsoft office 2007 program

Recursiveness, Switching, and Fluctuations in a Replicating Catalytic Network

A protocell model consisting of mutually catalyzing molecules is studied in order to investigate how chemical compositions are transferred recursively through cell divisions under replication errors. Depending on the path rate, the numbers of molecules and species, three phases are found: fast switching state without recursive production, recursive production, and itinerancy between the above two states. The number distributions of the molecules in the recursive states are shown to be log-normal except for those species that form a core hypercycle, and are explained with the help of a heuristic argument.Comment: 4 pages (with 7 figures (6 color)), submitted to PR

In autumn 2014, enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) cases presenting with severe respiratory or neurological disease were described in countries worldwide. To describe the epidemiology and virological characteristics of EV-D68 in England, we collected clinical information on laboratory-confirmed EV-D68 cases detected in secondary care (hospitals), between September 2014 and January 2015. In primary care (general practitioners), respiratory swabs collected (September 2013-January 2015) from patients presenting with influenza-like illness were tested for EV-D68. In secondary care 55 EV-D68 cases were detected. Among those, 45 cases had clinical information available and 89% (40/45) presented with severe respiratory symptoms. Detection of EV-D68 among patients in primary care increased from 0.4% (4/1074; 95% CI 0.1-1.0) (September 2013-January 2014) to 0.8% (11/1359; 95% CI 0.4-1.5) (September 2014-January 2015). Characterization of EV-D68 strains circulating in England since 2012 and up to winter 2014/2015 indicated that those strains were genetically similar to those detected in 2014 in USA. We recommend reinforcing enterovirus surveillance through screening respiratory samples of suspected cases

A vacuum sputtering process comprises evaporation of the material and subsequent vapor condensation on the substrates. Getting required and repeatable quality of coatings is challenging task. It depends on capabilities of equipment, type of evaporator, interaction evaporator with the evaporating substance and deposition process. Sputtering process parameters are determined by the ability evaporator to maintain a certain temperature evaporated substance for a long time. Controlling operations sequence of pumping and heating depends on achieving optimum vacuum conditions, in spite of used pumping method. The control system must foresee and identify emerging cracks or damage of the system components. This paper focuses on the development of intelligent control system vacuum process on the agent-based approach. © IDOSI Publications, 2013
