O que os alunos pensam sobre o livro didático de inglês? What do learners think about the english text book?

Este trabalho investiga a relação que alunos do ensino fundamental e médio, bem como aqueles que cursam escola de idiomas, estabelecem com o livro didático de inglês. Um total de 260 alunos da cidade de Caçador, SC, respondeu a um questionário com perguntas sobre suas opiniões e posicionamento crítico quanto a esse recurso. Os dados foram analisados a partir de um panorama geral e contextual, visando encontrar pontos de convergência e divergência entre os adolescentes. Foi possível concluir que a metodologia de ensino adotada pelas professoras parece influenciar nas concepções dos alunos sobre o que um LD/ uma apostila de inglês deve oferecer e como deve ser avaliado(a).<br>This paper aims to investigate how secondary and high school students, as well as those who study at private language courses, view their English textbook. A total of 260 students from Caçador, SC, answered a questionnaire that elicited their opinions, conceptions and critical standpoint on this learning resource. The data were analyzed from both a general and contextual perspective aiming to find out similarities and differences among the teenagers' responses. It was possible to conclude that the teachers' methodology seems to influence the students' conceptions about what an English textbook must offer and how it should be evaluated
