BNL superconducting storage ring magnet update
The various performance data, design and specifications for the storage ring and experimental series dipole and quadrupole magnets as well as the working line and correction coil systems are reported. The working line system includes the closed orbit dipoles, the quadrupole trim, sextupoles, octapoles, decapoles and duodecapoles. These are the magnets in the standard subunits of the Brookhaven National Laboratory Intersecting Storage Ring Accelerator ''ISABELLE.'
Limits on the production of scalar leptoquarks from Z (0) decays at LEP
A search has been made for pairs and for single production of scalar leptoquarks of the first and second generations using a data sample of 392000 Z0 decays from the DELPHI detector at LEP 1. No signal was found and limits on the leptoquark mass, production cross section and branching ratio were set. A mass limit at 95% confidence level of 45.5 GeV/c2 was obtained for leptoquark pair production. The search for the production of a single leptoquark probed the mass region above this limit and its results exclude first and second generation leptoquarks D0 with masses below 65 GeV/c2 and 73 GeV/c2 respectively, at 95% confidence level, assuming that the D0lq Yukawa coupling alpha(lambda) is equal to the electromagnetic one. An upper limit is also given on the coupling alpha(lambda) as a function of the leptoquark mass m(D0)

ISABELLE magnets. A brief description
The modified ISABELLE dipole design, adopted in the fall of 1981, is briefly described, and the assembly procedure and performance of initial prototype magnets summarized. The new magnets incorporate a cabled superconductor wound in a two-layer coil configuration, supported by a laminated split iron yoke. In all cases the prototype magnets reach short sample performance on the first quench, and exhibit virtually no training; eddy current effects are negligible as well

Modified six-block coil geometry for 12-cm dipole
A simplified coil configuration is proposed for a dipole of 12-cm aperture for ISABELLE, in which the coil geometry consists of six blocks of uniform current density separated by wedges of varying thickness. (auth
