How to compare energy efficiency inspection tests on TVs?

It is a case study conducted in company X of the electronic branch located in the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM), the capital of Amazonas–Brazil. The problem was the need to develop a benchmarking involving energy efficiency inspection tests on televisions. The objective is to compare the performance of the standard method and the new method of performing the energy efficiency inspection test. To this end, quality tools were applied with data collected from the use of the time study of each test step. After data collection and analysis, it was concluded that the new test: a) has 67% of its steps performed automatically and 43% manually, its average lead time is 4h14min34, a gain of 33.5% in total time required to perform the test; b) can be developed with the application of Brainstorming, Ishikawa Diagram, GUT Matrix, PDCA, Vertical Flowchart in conjunction with Chrono-analysis. It is worth highlighting the importance of the local top management support so that each of these tools is used with autonomy and creativity by the collaborators involved in the project

THE PRE-EXHAUSTION METHOD SEEMS INEFFECTIVE TO INCREASE ELECTROMYOGRAPHIC ACTIVITY

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the pre-exhaustion method on the electromyographic activity (temporal and spectral domain) at different intervals of a set of resistance training. Twenty adults with little or no experience in strength training performed two sets of the seated row exercise at 70%1RM until muscular failure, in a randomized order. Surface electrodes were placed over the latissimus dorsi, teres major, biceps brachii, and posterior deltoid muscles of the dominant side. Results showed that the pre-exhaustion did not increase EMG activity of all muscle analyzed at any intervals of a set. Furthermore, the EMG median frequency decreased in teres major and posterior deltoid muscles during initial and intermediate repetitions. Results suggest that the pre-exhaustion induces more fatigue when compared to traditional training

Interdisciplinaridade: uma relação possivel na universidade?

O presente estudo é fruto da pesquisa desenvolvida pelo Grupo de Estudos sobre Universidade Pesquisa e Inovação da UFRGS, sob a supervisão da Professora Maria Estela Dal Pai Franco. O desafio da Interdisciplinaridade remete a questões constantes de reconstrução na formação humana, levando-se em consideração a história da existência do homem e suas transformações sociais, culturais e éticas. A Universidade exerce um papel culminante no que concerne a formação do sujeito, a qual, tendenciosamente, fragmenta o conhecimento, impondo uma visão tecnicista e positivista nos muros institucionais. Romper com essa tendência fragmentadora e desarticulada é uma forma de contribuir para novos cenários de saberes. A questão conceitual sobre a interdisciplinaridade se amplia, pois ela vai além dos muros da escola, inserindo-se nos processos de trabalho, no cotidiano das pessoas, aproximando-se de uma necessidade imediata humana devido às inúmeras demandas que são impingidas ao sujeito na sociedade contemporânea. A ação interdisciplinar é uma prática que permite aproximar o individuo nos diversos campos de saberes, gerando um benefício próprio ao ser humano, contribuindo, assim, para que as diferentes disciplinas alcancem a compreensão das diversidades e pluralidades humanas. O objetivo desta pesquisa consiste em analisar as práticas estabelecidas nos cursos de graduação dentro de uma concepção interdisciplinar. Em relação aos eixos metodológicos, o estudo é de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa. Foram entrevistados 30 (trinta) docentes da graduação na IES em diferentes cursos do Centro de Ciências da Saúde, através de uma escolha aleatória. A análise das falas foi efetivada por meio da análise de conteúdo, segundo princípios propostos por Bardin e de análise estatística. Conclui-se que os muros Institucionais são construídos vislumbrando a produção do conhecimento e as especificidades de cada área, se tornando um campo fechado com teorias alicerçadas em nichos, sem uma posição de base que sirva para outras ciências. Talvez esse seja o maior desafio das Universidades (observar os limites de suas disciplinas) para que de fato se observe a interdisciplinaridade na prática dentro da IES

The rite in the school context

Partindo do pressuposto de que toda ação ritual é revestida pelo simbólico; de que o pensamento simbólico é sempre assimilação que lembra atitudes acomodativas e de que o ser humano busca dar sentido para sua existência, traçamos o objetivo deste artigo que consistiu em descrever sobre um rito de iniciação e suas implicações simbólicas no contexto escolar. A pesquisa é descritiva e de campo, realizada na rede municipal de João Pessoa/PB. A abordagem qualitativa e a hermenêutica simbólica utilizada na análise visa descrever as formas simbólicas do rito selecionado. Como primeiro resultado de nosso estudo, foi analisado o rito de iniciação do primeiro dia de aula, na sua realidade como fato social e coletivo, como sendo elemento estruturante que organiza o mundo e a consciência do indivíduo. Foi identificado que a ação ritual ensina e instaura significados aos alunos no contexto escolar.Assuming that all action is enveloped by the symbolic ritual; that symbolic thought is always an assimilation which reminds us of accommodating attitudes; and that the human being seeks to give meaning to their existence, the purpose of this article is to describe  a rite of initiation and its symbolic implications in the school context. The research is descriptive and field research in the municipal school network of João Pessoa / PB. The qualitative approach and the symbolic hermeneutics used in the analysis aims to describe the symbolic forms of the selected rite. As a first result of our study, we analyzed the initiation rite of the first day of class in its reality as a social and collective fact, as a being a structural element that organizes the world and the consciousness of the individual. It was identified that the ritual action establishes meanings and teaches students in the school context
