Sistema de defesa antioxidativo de plantas de arroz de terras altas (Oryza sativa L.) cultivadas sob deficiência hídrica.

    Get PDF

    Get PDF

Testing the black disk limit in pppp collisions at very high energy

We use geometric scaling invariant quantities to measure the approach, or not, of the imaginary and real parts of the elastic scattering amplitude, to the black disk limit, in pppp collisions at very high energy.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure

Total Cross Section, Inelasticity and Multiplicity Distributions in Proton -- Proton Collisions

Multiparticle production in high energy proton -- proton collisions has been analysed in the frame of Strongly Correlated Quark Model (SCQM) of the hadron structure elaborated by the author. It is shown that inelasticity decreases at high energies and this effect together with the total cross section growth and the increasing with collision energy the masses of intermediate clusters result in the violation of KNO -- scaling.Comment: 21 pages, 11 figures, submitted to Yad. Space-time Structure of Initial Parton Production in Ultrarelativistic Heavy Ion Collisions

The space and time evolution of initial parton production in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions is investigated within the framework of perturbative QCD which includes both initial and final state radiations. Uncertainty principle is used to relate the life time of a radiating parton to its virtuality and momentum. The interaction time of each hard or semihard parton scattering is also taken into account. For central Au+AuAu+Au collisions at s=200\sqrt{s}=200 GeV, most of the partons are found to be produced within 0.5 fm/c after the total overlap of the two colliding nuclei. The local momentum distribution is approximately isotropical at that time. The implication on how to treat correctly the the secondary scattering in an ultimate parton cascading model is also discussed.Comment: 19 pages in REVTEX with 12 figures in separate uuencoded postscript files, LBL-3415

Leading particle effect, inelasticity and the connection between average multiplicities in {\bf e+ee^+e^-} and {\bf pppp} processes

The Regge-Mueller formalism is used to describe the inclusive spectrum of the proton in ppp p collisions. From such a description the energy dependences of both average inelasticity and leading proton multiplicity are calculated. These quantities are then used to establish the connection between the average charged particle multiplicities measured in {\bf e+ee^+e^-} and {\bf pp/pˉppp/{\bar p}p} processes. The description obtained for the leading proton cross section implies that Feynman scaling is strongly violated only at the extreme values of xFx_F, that is at the central region (xF0x_F \approx 0) and at the diffraction region (xF1x_F \approx 1), while it is approximately observed in the intermediate region of the spectrum.Comment: 20 pages, 10 figures, to be published in Physical Review

Leading nucleon and inelasticity in hadron-nucleus interactions

    Get PDF
We present in this paper a calculation of the average proton-nucleus ine- lasticity. Using an Iterative Leading Particle Model and the Glauber model, we relate the leading particle distribution in nucleon-nucleus interactions with the respective one in nucleon-proton collisions. To describe the leading particle distribution in nucleon-proton collisions, we use the Regge-Mueller formalism. To appear in Journal of Physics G.Comment: 11 pages, 2 figure

Heavy Quark Hadroproduction in kTk_T-Factorization Approach with Unintegrated Gluon Distributions

We consider the processes of compare the heavy quark production using the unintegrated gluon distributions. The numerical predictions for high energy nucleon-nucleon and photon-nucleon collisions of the kTk_T-factorization approach (semihard theory) are compared with the experimental data from Tevatron-collider and HERA. The total production cross sections and pTp_T distributions are considered and they are in reasonable agreement with the data for rather value of QCD scale.Comment: 21 pages, 10 figures, references adde
