    Role of Rasayanas in ENT

    Get PDF
The role of Rasayana in the present era is inevitable. As the mankind is suffering from many kinds of diseases, in order to protect himself from them Rasayanas are indicated. Rasayana is a therapy which improves the normal functioning of human body and also enhances the standard of life. In Shalakyatantra, Rasayana therapy gives clarity to the sense organs. In day-to-day life implementing Rasayanas will make the sense organs stronger and prevents from diseases

Heavy-element yields and abundances of Asymptotic Giant Branch models with a Small Magellanic Cloud metallicity

We present new theoretical stellar yields and surface abundances for asymptotic giant branch (AGB) models with a metallicity appropriate for stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC, Z=0.0028Z= 0.0028, [Fe/H] ≈−0.7\approx -0.7). New evolutionary sequences and post-processing nucleosynthesis results are presented for initial masses between 1M⊙M_{\odot} and 7M⊙M_{\odot}, where the 7M⊙M_{\odot} is a super-AGB star with an O-Ne core. Models above 1.15M⊙M_{\odot} become carbon rich during the AGB, and hot bottom burning begins in models M≥3.75M⊙M \ge 3.75 M_{\odot}. We present stellar surface abundances as a function of thermal pulse number for elements between C to Bi and for a selection of isotopic ratios for elements up to Fe and Ni (e.g., 12^{12}C/13^{13}C), which can be compared to observations. The integrated stellar yields are presented for each model in the grid for hydrogen, helium and all stable elements from C to Bi. We present evolutionary sequences of intermediate-mass models between 4--7M⊙M_{\odot} and nucleosynthesis results for three masses (M=3.75,5,7M⊙M=3.75, 5, 7M_{\odot}) including ss-process elements for two widely used AGB mass-loss prescriptions. We discuss our new models in the context of evolved AGB stars and post-AGB stars in the Small Magellanic Clouds, barium stars in our Galaxy, the composition of Galactic globular clusters including Mg isotopes with a similar metallicity to our models, and to pre-solar grains which may have an origin in metal-poor AGB stars.Comment: 19 pages, accepted for publication in MNRA

Background: Present study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of placental cord blood drainage after vaginal delivery in reducing the duration and blood loss during third stage of labour in Primi/Multigravida (up to G3) between the age group of 18-35 years, with term, singleton alive pregnancy with vertex presentation, adequate liqour, with average size (estimated foetal weight 2-4Kg) fetus, without any complications, expected to spontaneous vaginal delivery. Methods: It is a randomized clinical controlled trial on 400 pregnant women admitted in labour ward at KGMCH, Asaripallam, Kanyakumari district between January 2015 to December 2015. All women enrolled were subjected to history taking general and obstetric examination. In the study group, placental end of the previously clamped and cut umbilical cord was unclamped immediately after vaginal delivery, while remaining clamped in the control group. Results: Duration of third stage of labour blood loss during third stage postpartum hemorrhage and need for blood transfusion haemoglobin difference between antenatal and postnatal period was significantly reduced in the study group than control group. Conclusions: Placental Cord blood drainage is simple, safe, non-invasive method which reduces the duration and blood loss of third stage of Labour.

Crazy village is one of regions take place in Ponorogo. In which, there are many crazy citizenries there. The disease of crazy will give bad impact to the children\u27s education. The purpose of this program is to improve children\u27s interest and achievement in crazy village by giving study guidance and counseling. The methodes of doing this program are done by giving study mentoring and counseling. The results of this program are that Happy House give positive impact to the children\u27s interest and achievement. By giving counseling program, it makes the student\u27s character be better, make them more confident and improve the student\u27s social interaction besides counseling program can motivate the students to reach their biggest wish and prepare their future life

Effective tax collection is an appropriate means to achieve the maximum tax revenue target. The goals of study is to determining the effectiveness and contribution of active tax billing actions which includes the warning leter, forced letter, and seizure letter to disbursement of tax arrears in Tax Office Pratama North Manado during 2013-2014. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive study with approach case study. Data collected through interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of tax billing rate is still not effective and the contribution of active tax billing actions to disbursement of tax arrears is still lacking. The factors is a lack of public awareness, taxpayer compliance in paying his tax debt and less optimal active tax collection process

Effect of different modes of pollination on yield parameters of summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.) in India

Effect of different modes of pollination, viz., without insect pollination, hand-pollination, open-pollination and open-pollination + hand-pollination on yield parameters of 4 summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.) hybrids viz., Parikrama, Chandra, Chamatkar and Gold Queen was studied at Research Farm of the Department of Entomology, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar during 2014. Irrespective of different hybrids, the treatment openpollination + hand-pollination and open-pollination produced the maximum number of fruits per plant (73.50 and 71.25%, respectively) followed by hand-pollination (59.08%) and no fruits were observed (0% fruit set) under without insect pollination treatment. Average fruit weight, fruit polar diameter and equatorial diameter were maximum (135.30 g, 3.74 cm and 3.47 cm, respectively) under open-pollination + hand-pollination, while these were minimum (94.81 cm, 2.14cm and 2.48 cm, respectively) under hand-pollination treatment. These results indicate that honey bees as well as wild pollinators are utmost essential for pollination of summer squash flowers and thus increasing fruit size and yield. Therefore pollinators conservation practices should be followed in summer squash growing areas for getting higher yield and returns

This thesis aims to find out how the influence of emotional intelligence on the consumer behavior of students in SMA Hidayatul Muhsinin Kubu Raya Regency Academic Year 2013/2014. The methos used is associative method with the form of causal relationship research. With a population of 111 students and a total sample of 84 students by using proportional random sampling technique. The data collection technique used are direct communication technique, indirect communication technique and document technique with the data collecting tools such as interview guideline, questionnaire and document. Based on the data analysis, there is the influence of emotional intelligence on the consumer behavior, the rate of the influence is 31,5 %. The emotional intelligence level of students in SMA Hidayatul Muhsinin Kubu Raya Regency in good category with a percentage of 65,5 % whereas the rate of consumer behavior of students in SMA Hidayatul Muhsinin Kubu Raya Regency in good category with a percentage of 58,3 %

A cerebellar mechanism for learning prior distributions of time intervals

    Get PDF
Knowledge about the statistical regularities of the world is essential for cognitive and sensorimotor function. In the domain of timing, prior statistics are crucial for optimal prediction, adaptation and planning. Where and how the nervous system encodes temporal statistics is, however, not known. Based on physiological and anatomical evidence for cerebellar learning, we develop a computational model that demonstrates how the cerebellum could learn prior distributions of time intervals and support Bayesian temporal estimation. The model shows that salient features observed in human Bayesian time interval estimates can be readily captured by learning in the cerebellar cortex and circuit level computations in the cerebellar deep nuclei. We test human behavior in two cerebellar timing tasks and find prior-dependent biases in timing that are consistent with the predictions of the cerebellar model
