Cold Flow Properties of Fatty Esters

    Get PDF
The article is devoted to the study of cold fl ow properties of neat esters of branched chain alcohols with fatty acids and blends of these esters with fossil diesel fuel. According to the determined CFPP values, the influence of alcohol branching on the fuel filterability is negligible and was detected only in the case of 2-ethyl hexanol. Fossil fuel blending with fatty esters up to 10 % vol. does not substantially change the cold flow properties of fossil fuel. DSC cooling scan parameters should be employed to predict CFPP of blended diesel fuel

This thesis deals with creating a web application that allows to upload and present information concerning running paths in Brno and its neighborhood. It consists of a user interface that provides the ability to manage information stored in the SQL database. It also serves as a tool for the automated determination of geometric parameters of tracks and allows you to view the routing on the map server mapy.cz or to portray the longitudinal profile.

    Liquid Fuels from Biomass Cracking

AbstractDuring the catalytic cracking of agricultural lignocellulosic bio-waste it is possible to obtain a liquid condensate with the yield of the bio-oil is up to 19wt. % in experiments with vegetable oil in input material. Bio-oils originating only from agricultural biomass give the yield of max. 2wt. % with the respect to the input. In the batch process, better results in the yield of bio-oil were found. Cracking of agricultural waste, running in continuous pilot scale reactor with screw mixers at temperatures from 390 to 450°C, results in the significant yield of bio-gasses. The portion of gaseous products varies from 25wt. % (corn combs with vegetable oil, reed) to 62wt. % (dry leaves), depending on cracking conditions, type of biomass, presence of zeolite catalyst or vegetable oil. These gases are flammable and can be used as motor fuel and/or energetic purposes

The resemblance analysis of Czech texts

    No full text
In the present work we study means of comparing two Czech texts. The design and the implementation principles of a program for comparing two Czech texts are described. The program compares texts using a set of various criteria, new criteria are easy to add. The program is able to learn, it configures itself on texts given by the user. In the first part of the work we give a description of the algorithms for comparing texts and for learning. The next part is dedicated to some interesting parts of implementation. The conclusion is about using the program on real texts

Recommender systems are programs that aim to present items like songs or books that are likely to be interesting for a user. These systems have become increasingly popular and are intensively studied by research groups all over the world. In web systems, like e-shops or community servers there are usually multiple data sources we can use for recommending, as user and item attributes, user-item rating or implicit feedback from user behaviour. In the thesis, we present a concept of a Universal Recommender System (Unresyst) that can use these data sources and is domain-independent at the same time. We propose how Unresyst can be used. From the contemporary methods of recommending, we choose a knowledge based algorithm combined with collaborative filtering as the most appropriate algorithm for Unresyst. We analyze data sources in various systems and generalize them to be domain-independent. We design the architecture of Unresyst, describe its interfaces and methods for processing the data sources. We adapt Unresyst to three real-world data sets, evaluate the recommendation accuracy results and compare them to a contemporary collaborative filtering recommender. The comparison shows that combining multiple data sources can improve the accuracy of collaborative filtering algorithms and can be used in systems where..
