Intensity and Labour Consumption of Integrated Production in Horticultural Farms

    Get PDF
AbstractThe paper presents economic efficiency of work in the horticultural production in the selected farms which carry out the integrated production. At the average, one man-hour was paid 0.09 PLNk·man-hour-1. Taking into consideration the use structure in the investigated objects, the intensity of production organization was determined. The production was varied (it was within the intensity range of 213-393 points) and the differences resulted directly from the participation of the grain cultivation area and currant plantation in particular farms. A field work mechanization degree is, inter alia, a factor that influences the labour inputs level. Thus, an annual use of farm tractors was also determined. It was 400hours. The paper covers farms associated in the formalized producer's group

Motivation: Knowledge management is currently one of the most important factors determining the company’s market position. It depends not only on the skilful use of resources, but also on obtaining a synergistic effect. To manage knowledge, managers must possess not only the appropriate resources of knowledge, but also must have determined management structure with the assistance of the IT (information technology) tools.Aim: The purpose of the article was to present how the modern enterprise knowledge management process is supported by information technology. For this purpose, was summarized selected indicators characterizing the use of ICT in various types of enterprises in the country. It assumed that it is important not only the equipment the companies with information technology tools, but also the degree of use of these tools. Results: Usage of ICT in Poland reaches ratios much lower than the average for the European Union. Large differences in the use of information technology occurs in individual groups of companies. Larger companies have reached a much higher degree of saturation of IT tools than smaller objects. For example, the number of Polish enterprises with computers was 94.7%, in the case of large companies it is 99.8%. Even greater discrepancy relates to access to the Internet. You may also notice differences in each province. Introduction of modern technologies related to computer science and computers (eg. cloud computing, big data, social media, e-commerce etc) enables effective knowledge management in companies. The indicators show that the management team appreciates the importance of knowledge and consistently invests for its development

TOF-PET detector concept based on organic scintillators

    Get PDF
In this contribution we present a new concept of the large acceptance detector systems based on organic scintillators which may allow for simultaneous diagnostic of large fraction of the human body. Novelty of the concept lies in employing large blocks of polymer scintillators instead of crystals as detectors of annihilation quanta, and in using predominantly the timing of signals instead of their amplitudes

Strip- PET : a novel detector concept for the TOF-PET scanner

    Get PDF
We briefly present a design of a new PET scanner based on strips of polymer scintillators arranged in a barrel constituting a large acceptance detector. The solution proposed is based on the superior timing properties of the polymer scintillators. The position and time of the reaction of the gamma quanta in the detector material will be determined based on the time of arrival of light signals to the edges of the scintillator strips

Optimization of Selection of the Machinery Park in Sustainable Agriculture

    No full text
A correct selection of the machinery park is vital for correct functioning of a farm. It is significant in sustainable farming where, except for economic factors, application of a suitable technique and technology in order to lead an effective production is crucial. The paper presents a method of designing a set of machines for a farm. The method was implemented in the computer application. A suitably selected, optimised machinery park enables a sustainable agricultural production and achievement of the desired economic, production and environmental effects. The application was practically verified and is used in teaching and farming practice

    Computer-aided fertilisation using the Nawozy-5 (Fertiliser-5) software

The original program Nawozy-5 is an application supporting mineral fertilisation. It is intended for small farms that are not equipped with facilities enabling application of precision agriculture and do not use any commercial software for farm management support. Computational algorithms in the program Nawozy-5 make use of the nutrient balance method. The application calculates requirement for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium and sulphur and then selects particular fertilisers and calculates their quantities. The program is free of charge and available online on the author’s website www.cupial.mcpk.ne

Estimation methods of the agricultural equipment value with regard toevaluation of Alina carrot harvester

    No full text
The objective of the paper is to present methods of evaluation of real estates used for evaluation of agricultural equipment and types of value related thereto. Alina carrot harvester by Waremczuk company served as an example, for which a detailed methodology and the results of valuation were presented. Evaluation was carried out based on two approaches namely a comparative and cost approach. In the case of the comparative approach, the average price adjustment method was used and in the case of the cost approach - a replacement cost method. As a result of using various approaches and methods of evaluation two slightly different values of the evaluated harvester were obtained. It was respectively: EUR16,406 - at the use of the average price adjustment method and EUR 17,678 - the estimated net replacement value in the cost approach for the replacement method

Modelling of technological processes in a dairy cattle herd

    No full text
The paper presents a model of a technological processes in cattle herd. The concept of developing a model and its implementation was presented in a computer program. It was assumed during construction of a model that the herd consists of particular animals in different age, condition, and which function partially independently from each other. Various events influence a behaviour of model components, including random events which occur with a specific probability. For those units, in the time function detailed rates are calculated. A group of units forms a herd for which group rates are calculated. The developed theoretical model was implemented in the computer program SegaeM which enables calculation of rates which describe a herd and visualization of changes that take place in time

The paper analyzes the issue of raising funds for investment in the MaƂopolska Province, within the framework of the Rural Development Programme for the years 2007-2013. The study focused on selected activities under Axis 3. “ Quality of life in rural areas and diversification of the rural economy “ and Axis 4. “ Leader “, which are designed to contribute to the development of infrastructure in rural areas. The scope included proceeds of the grant in terms of quantity per km2 and per capita. The value of the assets acquired as part of the analyzed measures average in district amounts to 37 624.7 thousand PLN, which gives 48.5 thousand PLN per km2 and 298,0 PLN per person. On the basis of the data obtained was carried out spatial analysis, which specifies the height of the indicators examined in individual counties. This analysis showed diversity of districts, depending on geographic location. The dependence of the analyzed indicator, depending on the geographical location of the district is most evident in the case of the grant calculated per capita
