El museo de la Solidaridad es un hito clave para comprender las dinámicas culturales durante el gobierno socialista de la unidad popular. más allá de la relevancia recobrada con el retorno de la democracia, el museo en su fase de creación, fue uno de los eventos de recepción artística internacional más relevantes acontecidos en chile, gracias al número de obras y a la calidad de los artistas que participaron mediante donaciones. El presente texto fue preparado para el núcleo Archivos Iniciativa Bicentenario Juan Gomes Millas (IB-JGM Universidad de Chile), y en el marco de la investigación de grado con la cual ocupaba laborales de pesquisa para ese grupo. El producto final fue la investigación de licenciatura: “gran Santiago. Risk analysis for construction projects planning multi housing in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal department Risaralda

La construcción es una de las actividades más propensas a los riesgos, en el cual la gran mayoría de compañías no existe una adecuada gestión de las diferentes amenazas que pueden afectar la ejecución de los proyectos. Como consecuencia de ello, se presentan sobrecostos, tiempos incumplidos y estándares de calidad reducidos, lo que se resume básicamente en afectaciones a los objetivos trazados inicialmente, pérdidas y disminución de las utilidades. La necesidad de una adecuada evaluación de riesgos y la incidencia que ello refleja en la realización, tiene por objeto la metodología de la gestión del riesgo, el cual en la actualidad es poco implementada. El presente artículo presenta los lineamientos básicos para el análisis de riesgos en construcción de vivienda en el Municipio de Santa Rosa de Cabal para la compañía RM INGENIEROS S.A.S., con el propósito que se conozcan las variables que puedan afectar el proyecto que futuramente se va a desarrollar, ello a consecuencia que la compañía no presenta experiencia en este tipo de proyectos dado que no es su línea de negocios y a la fecha no se enfoca en las obras civiles. Se identificaron las actividades a realizar en el proyecto, y a partir de ello se realizó un análisis de los riesgos presentes. Se identificaron 12 riesgos de los cuales 3 de ellos se encuentran en categoría inaceptable, por lo cual, estos deberán proporcionar especial atención dado que pueden incidir con su vulnerabilidad y en un aumento del precio de venta del m2 de construcción.Construction is one of activities with more tendency to risks, area in which most companies do not have an adequate management from different threats which could affect project execution. As a consequence, they run in overcharges, unfulfilled periods of time and reduced quality standards, which is a basic summary to those encumber objectives initially planned, losses and diminishing of profits. The need of an adequate evaluation risks and its incidence reflected In the carry outs, has as end, risk management, which at actual times is very little implemented. Present article presents basic guidelines for risk analysis in housing construction in Santa Rosa de Cabal Municipal city for the company RM INGENIEROS S.A.S, in order to let know different variables which could affect project which in going to be done in future, taking into consideration that the company do not presents experience in this type projects, as that is not in their business line and up to this date, it is not focused in civil works. Activities to do in this project were identified and beginning from that, an analysis was made for actual risks. 12 risks were identified of which 3 are in unacceptable category, being a reason to take special attention to them, because they could affect in its vulnerability and increase of sell price for m2 of construction

Sampling distributions and estimation for multi-type Branching Processes

Consider a multi-dimensional supercritical branching process with offspring distribution in a parametric family. Here, each vector coordinate corresponds to the number of offspring of a given type. The process is observed under family-size sampling: a random sample is drawn, each individual reporting its vector of brood sizes. In this work, we show that the set in which no siblings are sampled (so that the sample can be considered independent) has probability converging to one under certain conditions on the sampling size. Furthermore, we show that the sampling distribution of the observed sizes converges to the product of identical distributions, hence developing a framework for which the process can be considered iid, and the usual methods for parameter estimation apply. We provide asymptotic distributions for the resulting estimators

A minimum Wasserstein distance approach to Fisher's combination of independent discrete p-values

This paper introduces a comprehensive framework to adjust a discrete test statistic for improving its hypothesis testing procedure. The adjustment minimizes the Wasserstein distance to a null-approximating continuous distribution, tackling some fundamental challenges inherent in combining statistical significances derived from discrete distributions. The related theory justifies Lancaster's mid-p and mean-value chi-squared statistics for Fisher's combination as special cases. However, in order to counter the conservative nature of Lancaster's testing procedures, we propose an updated null-approximating distribution. It is achieved by further minimizing the Wasserstein distance to the adjusted statistics within a proper distribution family. Specifically, in the context of Fisher's combination, we propose an optimal gamma distribution as a substitute for the traditionally used chi-squared distribution. This new approach yields an asymptotically consistent test that significantly improves type I error control and enhances statistical power

The role of stress in drug addiction. An integrative review

[EN] Background: The high prevalence and burden to society of drug abuse and addiction is undisputed. However, its conceptualisation as a brain disease is controversial, and available interventions insufficient. Research on the role of stress in drug addiction may bridge positions and develop more effective interventions. Aim: The aim of this paper is to integrate the most influential literature to date on the role of stress in drug addiction. Methods: A literature search was conducted of the core collections of Web of Science and Semantic Scholar on the topic of stress and addiction from a neurobiological perspective in humans. The most frequently cited articles and related references published in the last decade were finally redrafted into a narrative review based on 130 full-text articles. Results and discussion: First, a brief overview of the neurobiology of stress and drug addiction is provided. Then, the role of stress in drug addiction is described. Stress is conceptualised as a major source of allostatic load, which result in progressive long-term changes in the brain, leading to a drug-prone state characterized by craving and increased risk of relapse. The effects of stress on drug addiction are mainly mediated by the action of corticotropin-releasing factor and other stress hormones, which weaken the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex and strengthen the amygdala, leading to a negative emotional state, craving and lack of executive control, increasing the risk of relapse. Both, drugs and stress result in an allostatic overload responsible for neuroa- daptations involved in most of the key features of addiction: reward anticipation/craving, negative affect, and impaired executive functions, involved in three stages of addiction and relapse. Conclusion: This review elucidates the crucial role of stress in drug addiction and highlights the need to in- corporate the social context where brain-behaviour relationships unfold into the current model of addition

The displacement of workers under the Social Security Agreement between Chile and Spain

El presente trabajo pretende entregar una visión general de la figura de desplazamiento temporal de trabajadores, pero acotándola a la preceptiva que sobre la materia se establece en el Convenio de Seguridad Social suscrito el año 1997, entre la República de Chile y el Reino de España, situándola en un contexto de protección social a los trabajadores migrantes, destacando sus principales aspectos normativos tales como tipos de desplazamiento, duración, requisitos y sus efectos en relación a diversas ramas de la seguridad social involucradas. También se tendrá como foco la aplicación práctica que las entidades chilenas vinculadas a la aplicación del Convenio, han dado a esta excepción a la regla lex loci laboris, en virtud de la cual la legislación aplicable a los trabajadores que son enviados por su empleador, a prestar servicios temporales en el territorio de la otra Parte, ya no será la ley del lugar en que se ejecuten tales labores, sino que precisamente la ley del Estado de envío, permitiendo de esta manera evitar la doble cotización internacional frente a las mismas contingencias, permitiendo dar continuidad a la cobertura de seguridad social del país donde reside habitualmente el trabajador/a.The present work aims to present an overview of the detached-worker rule, specifically the regulations established in the Social Security agreement in 1997 between the Republic of Chile and the Kingdom of Spain, in the context of social protection of Migrant Workers, with emphasis on the main normative aspects such as detachment, duration of coverage, requirements and effects regarding the different branches of social security involved. It also highlights the practical applications that Chilean entities linked to the enforcement of this agreement have given to this exception to the rule of lex loci laboris, in which the exercise of current legislation regarding workers deployed by their employers to bring temporary services in the Other Part’s territory, will no longer be applied where such duties are carried out, but instead the law of the Origin State, this way avoiding dual international occurring in such cases, allowing to give continuity to the social security coverage of the country in which the worker usually resides
