MISPRONUNCIATION OF ENGLISH CONSONANT SOUND [θ] IN THE MEDIAL POSITION BY THE STUDENTS OF SMK GRAFIKA SURAKARTA

In this research, the researcher analyzes the mispronunciation of consonant [θ] in the middle of the word by the students of SMK Grafika Surakarta. In this research, there are two problems that will be discussed. The first is to find out the consonants that appear replacing consonant [θ] in these mispronunciations. The second one is to analyze the reasons behind the appearance of those consonants. Based on the data analysis, there are 194 mispronunciations of English consonant [θ] from 195 pronunciations (15 participants x 13 English words). From the analysis, there are seven consonants that appear replacing consonant [θ]. They are consonants [t], [r], [s], [tʃ], [f], [h], and [ð]. There are some reasons behind those consonants’ appearance. Firstly, those consonants have some closest segments with consonant [θ]. Secondly, those are affected by the pronunciation of the words that the students are familiar with and also that have similar patterns in English words alphabetically. For example, is the word ‘method’ [meθəd] and metode [metɑde].Another reason behind these mispronunciations is seen through their mother tongue, Javanese. In fact, consonant [θ] does not exist in Javanese consonants. Hence, the students are pronouncing the consonants that they are familiar with to make it easy to be spoken and easy to be understood by the listeners

QUALIDADE DE VIDA E ASPECTOS SOCIODEMOGRÁFICOS EM PACIENTES COM DIABETES MELLITUS DO PROGRAMA HIPERDIA DA SECRETARIA MUNICIPAL DE SAÚDE DO MUNICÍPIO DE VIDEIRA - SC

Avaliar a qualidade de vida no diabético torna-se necessário para que as intervenções sejam efetivas e específicas e capazes de minimizar ou prevenir seu comprometimento e a identificação dos fatores que interferem na qualidade de vida. O objetivo principal desta pesquisa foi avaliar a percepção da qualidade de vida e os aspectos sociodemográficos dos pacientes com diabetes mellitus do programa Hiperdia do município de Videira – SC. O estudo foi caracterizado com uma abordagem descritiva e quantitativa, e foi realizado com 47 pacientes inscritos no programa. O instrumento utilizado para a coleta dos dados foi o questionário de qualidade de vida Diabetes Quality of Life Measure (DQOL), e o questionário sociodemográfico adaptado de Marinho e outros autores (2017). Os resultados do estudo mostraram que a maioria dos pacientes são do sexo feminino, com idade média entre 40 a 60 anos e possuem ensino básico incompleto. Em relação à renda, recebem, em média, 2 a 4 salários mínimos, fazem tratamento para o diabetes há mais de 5 anos, possuem associação com outras duas doenças ou mais. Em relação à qualidade de vida, os domínios com maior escore foram a satisfação com 2,2 pontos; impacto 2,2 e preocupações com a doença com 2,2 pontos. Já o menor escore, foi a preocupação social com 1,1 ponto. Os dados mostram que em relação à qualidade de vida global, os pesquisados se disseram satisfeitos. Quanto à associação da qualidade de vida com os aspectos sociodemográficos, apenas as variáveis sexo e renda apresentaram relação com a qualidade de vida
