Changes in the pattern of sleep disturbances in healthy subjects under 21-day antiorthostatic hypokinesia
Background. Antiorthostatic hypokinesia (ANOH) reproduces some of the effects of weightlessness on the human body and is used to study adaptation to space flight conditions. It is known that ANOH affects nighttime sleep, but there is no information in the literature on the sequence of occurrence of sleep disorders in ANOH.The aim of the research was to study the dynamics of subjective changes in assessing sleep quality under conditions of antiorthostatic hypokinesia.Materials and methods. Six healthy male volunteers (age from 26 to 34 years) participated in the experiment with 21-day ANOH. They were on a medical bed with a body inclination angle relative to the horizon of –6° for 21 days. To assess sleep quality, a structured questionnaire was used that assessed sleep duration, rate of falling asleep, night awakenings, the presence of daytime sleepiness, and daytime falling asleep.Results. Based on the assessment of the dynamics of the sleep efficiency index (SEI), three stages of adaptation were identified. At the stage of acute adaptation (the first 3 days), there is a decrease in SEI from 96.4 to 91.3 (p < 0.01), a statistically significant prolongation of falling asleep from 17.6 to 33.6 minutes (p < 0.01), an increase duration of night awakenings up to 17.4 minutes, increase in daytime sleepiness by 11 %. In the next 3 days (the “recovery” stage), there is a statistically significant increase in SEI compared to the 1st stage to 94.7 (p < 0.01), but it remains statistically significantly lower than the background values (p < 0.004). The number of complaints about daytime sleepiness increases (up to 42 %), evening bedtime shifts later by 26 minutes. At the 3rd stage (the remaining nights) there is a relative stabilization of the sleep-wake cycle.Conclusion. Under conditions of 21-day ANOH, a gradual change in the pattern of sleep disturbances occurs. The most negative changes in terms of subjective assessment were noted in the first three days. Then there is an improvement in falling asleep, a decrease in night awakenings, combined with an increase in daytime sleepiness and the formation of a schedule with a later bedtime
The role and importance of the cluster approach in the development of domestic tourism of the Russian Federation
© 2017. ASERS Publishing. All rights reserved. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that tourist's cluster plays an important role in the development of not only municipalities, regions of the Russian Federation, federal districts, but the country as a whole, solving social problems, including those that relate to the creation of jobs, the problems of improvement in the quality of domestic tourist's products and services and incensement in investment and tourist's potential of the regions and the country. The aim of the study of the role of clusters in the development of domestic tourism was a compilation of existing research approaches and results of original research in this field. The leading methods to solve this problem are the methods of systemic, economic and statistical analysis, quantitative and qualitative research. In support of the main provisions of the authors also relied on expert methods of obtaining and processing information. The article gives the basic theoretical and practical interpretation of the definition of tourist's cluster. The mechanisms and identified issues of state participation in the formation and development of the tourist cluster, based on the research methodology and practices, as well as authoring, compiled tools of state support for domestic tourism development. Article Submissions are of practical value to planners in the tourism sector, tourism administrations, marketing professionals of tourism enterprises
Dynamics of the Free Surface of a Conducting Liquid in a Near-Critical Electric Field
Near-critical behavior of the free surface of an ideally conducting liquid in
an external electric field is considered. Based on an analysis of three-wave
processes using the method of integral estimations, sufficient criteria for
hard instability of a planar surface are formulated. It is shown that the
higher-order nonlinearities do not saturate the instability, for which reason
the growth of disturbances has an explosive character.Comment: 19 page
The Scientific Advisory board resolution: Implementation of intermittently scanned Continuous Glucose monitoring in clinical practice to improve glycemic control
The Scientific Advisory Board chaired by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Peterkova V.A. was held 26 of November in Moscow to discuss the possibilities of continuous glucose monitoring technology (CGM) implementation into routine clinical practice in Russia in order to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).The main aims for Advisory board were to determine the most significant indicators and parameters for CGM to be implemented in practice from a practical point of view of LMWH, necessary for implementation in clinical practice, for different patients groups with diabetes. The following questions and topics were raised within the discussion: the importance of additional indicators beyond glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) for glycemic control assessment in diabetes patients, CGM positioning in International and Russian clinical guidelines, the accuracy of CGM devises and approaches to its assessment, the role of education programs for diabetic patients, including trainings in correct use and data interpretation and analysis of CGM data obtained, clinical evidence analysis for CGM in randomized trials and real world evidence

Leakage Currents Mechanism in Thin Films of Ferroelectric Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2
We study the charge transport mechanism in ferroelectric Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 thin films. Transport properties of the leakage currents in Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 are described by phonon-assisted tunneling between traps. Comparison with transport properties of amorphous Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 demonstrates that the transport mechanism does not depend on the crystal structure. The thermal trap energy of 1.25 eV and optical trap energy of 2.5 eV in Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 were determined based on comparison of experimentally measured data on transport with simulations within phonon-assisted tunneling between traps in dielectric films. We found that the trap density in ferroelectric Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 is slightly less that one in amorphous Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 . A hypothesis that oxygen vacancies are responsible for the charge transport in Hf 0.5 Zr 0.5 O 2 is confirmed by electronic structure ab initio simulation
Identification of the nature of traps involved in the field cycling of Hf₀.₅Zr₀.₅O₂-based ferroelectric thin films
The discovery of ferroelectricity in hafnium oxide has revived the interest in ferroelectric memories as a viable option for low power non-volatile memories. However, due to the high coercive field of ferroelectric hafnium oxide, instabilities in the field cycling process are commonly observed and explained by the defect movement, defect generation and field induced phase transitions. In this work, the optical and transport experiments are combined with ab-initio simulations and transport modeling to validate that the defects which act as charge traps in ferroelectric active layers are oxygen vacancies. A new oxygen vacancy generation leads to a fast growth of leakage currents and a consequent degradation of the ferroelectric response in Hf₀.₅Zr₀.₅O₂ films. Two possible pathways of the Hf₀.₅Zr₀.₅O₂ ferroelectric property degradation are discussed

The purpose of the overview is to analyze the role of apoptosis in the pathogenesis of critical illness and discuss specific features of contributed biochemical processes. The paper reviews 117 publications, 76 of which were published during the recent five years. Published data show that the ability to control endogenic apoptotic processes offers opportunities for the development of functional therapy approaches to various diseases
