The Transformation of Guai Imagery in China (1949-78)
Guai are bound up with Chinese traditional culture, and have been presented via various cultural forms, such as literature, drama, New Year print and costume. Indeed, guai imagery has played a significant role in the definition and development of traditional Chinese visual culture. Throughout history, guai visual products reflected national values, aesthetic appreciation and philosophical aspirations.
Nevertheless, in twentieth-century China, political, social and religious transitions have changed the traditional role of guai imagery. Particularly, from the year 1949 when the People’s Republic of China was founded to 1978 when economic reform and the Open Door Policy were introduced, guai visual production was under Mao’s artistic control nationwide, and its political functions became dominant. Traditional guai imagery was politically filtered and modified to satisfy both Mao and the Communist Party’s political aspirations and the public aesthetic.
This research examines the transformation of guai imagery formally and symbolically in the Chinese aesthetic and cultural context from 1949 to 1978, and builds knowledge to evaluate and understand the production, dissemination and perception of guai visual products in this period. It provides a contribution to the understanding of the inherent values of guai and how the reinterpretation of guai imagery that reflects political, social and cultural values in Chinese visual art
Critical Evaluation of AI System Implementation as a Source of Competitive Advantage
Over the years, there has been a gradual change in relation to how businesses conduct their daily business activities. Many of have deviated from the initial old methods to using AI as a means of having competitive advantage. This paper seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating AI as a business strategy, cost effective, more efficient once the program has been set and also helps in effective business management. It also takes over repetitive and dangerous tasks. However, lacks out of the box thinking meaning that it only at times operates within the confines of the specific objectives. This may in turn be a negative aspect when where is need for critical business decisions to be made in business. It also lacks emotion when there is need to do so in addressing some of the customer’s complaints and this may bring about customer dissatisfaction. Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Marketing, Internet of Things, Japan DOI: 10.7176/JMCR/74-02 Publication date: December 31st 202
Formulation and evaluation of transdermal drug-delivery system of isosorbide dinitrate
The purpose of this study was to develop a reservoir-type transdermal delivery system for isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN). The developed patch consisted of five layers from bottom to top, namely, a temporary liner, an adhesive layer, a rate-controlling membrane, a reservoir and a backing. The effects of chemical penetration enhancers, reservoir materials and rate-controlling membranes on the release behaviour of ISDN from the transdermal patch were studied, and the; in vitro; release of ISDN from the developed patch was studied and compared with the commercially available ISDN patch. The results showed that there was no significant difference in permeation rates between the developed reservoir-type patch and the commercially available ISDN patch (;p;>; 0.05). Moreover, the cumulative release ratio of the commercially available ISDN patch in 48 h was up to 89.8%, whereas the developed patch was only 34.9%, which meant the sustained release time of the developed patch was much longer than the commercially available ISDN patch, and would promote the satisfaction of the patient.;O objetivo do presente estudo foi desenvolver um sistema de liberação transdérmico do tipo reservatório para o dinitrato de isossorbida (ISDN, abrevitura em Inglês).
The Effects of Packaging on Customer Purchasing Decision. (Melcom Ghana Limited)
This study’s goal was to reveal the impact of produce packaging on customers' purchasing decisions in the municipality of Ho. Using Melcom as a case study, the study selected a total of 109 customers of about 150 employees, and on what benefits to convenience. When collecting data, respondents who were analyzed using SPSS using frequency evaluation and One-Way Chi-Square were provided with self-managed questionnaires to determine the number and percentage of respondents who consent to specific statements and to check the importance of those answers. The outcome indicated that the packaging affects product prices, which affects the customer's purchasing decision. The study also determined that labels and printed materials promote the company's products and these elements affect consumers' decisions to make before they buy a product. The results also showed how packaging contributes to the company's product. The results showed that good packaging leaves a positive image of goods with the consumers. Based on the results, we have advised that manufacturers also use innovative ways to make packaging more attractive and qualitative, as it affects customer purchasing decisions. It is also recommended that consumer products deliver with good packaging that leaves a positive picture in their minds, creating brand loyalty. Real-time observations of TRIP-induced ultrahigh strain hardening in a dual-phase CrMnFeCoNi high-entropy alloy.
Strategies involving metastable phases have been the basis of the design of numerous alloys, yet research on metastable high-entropy alloys is still in its infancy. In dual-phase high-entropy alloys, the combination of local chemical environments and loading-induced crystal structure changes suggests a relationship between deformation mechanisms and chemical atomic distribution, which we examine in here in a Cantor-like Cr20Mn6Fe34Co34Ni6 alloy, comprising both face-centered cubic (fcc) and hexagonal closed packed (hcp) phases. We observe that partial dislocation activities result in stable three-dimensional stacking-fault networks. Additionally, the fraction of the stronger hcp phase progressively increases during plastic deformation by forming at the stacking-fault network boundaries in the fcc phase, serving as the major source of strain hardening. In this context, variations in local chemical composition promote a high density of Lomer-Cottrell locks, which facilitate the construction of the stacking-fault networks to provide nucleation sites for the hcp phase transformation
Synthesis and Antiproliferative Activity of Some Steroidal Lactams
Using cholesterol as starting material, a series of 6-substituted-3-aza-A-homo-3-oxycholestanes and 6-substituted-4-aza-A-homo-3-oxycholestanes were synthesized by the oxidation, reduction, oximation, Beckman rearrangement and condensation reaction. These synthesized compounds displayed a distinct cytotoxicity against MGC 7901, HeLa and SMMC 7404 cancer cells. Our results revealed that the structures of functional groups at position-6 on the steroidal ring are crucial for the IC50 value of antiproliferative activities of these compounds and the cytotoxic activity against MGC 7901 and SMMC 7404 cells was not significantly different between 4-N-lactams and 3-N-lactams when its 6-substituted group was a carbonyl or a hydroximino, but all 3-N-lactams showed a higher cytotoxicity against HeLa cells than 4-N-lactams. In particular, compounds 6, 8, 9 (IC506: 6.5 μmol/L; 8: 7.7 μmol/L; 9: 5.6 μmol/L) were even more cytotoxic than cisplatin to HeLa cells (positive contrast, 10.1 μmol/L). The information obtained from the studies may be useful for the design of novel chemotherapeutic drugs
