A rede de balanço simula a posição intrauterina, fundamental para maturação humana, um cuidado humanizado com efeitos positivos como estimulação vestibular e ganho de peso.

Efficacy, effectiveness and safety assessment of the conventional supplying process of orthoses, prostheses and Auxiliary means of locomotion (OPM) in the Health Services.

Data from the latest world report on disability, by the World Health Organization, indicate that 15% of the world population lives with some kind of disability, of which 2% to 4% experience significant difficulties in terms of functionality. Additionally, it is estimated that 0.5% of the population in developing countries needs prostheses or orthoses and related services (WHO, 2011; BRAZIL, 2014). Considering the need to offer a network of rehabilitation services, which is integrated, articulated and effective in different points of care, to meet people with demands arising from disabilities, the Ministry of Health, by Ordinance No. 793/2012, established the Care Network for People with Disabilities within the Unified Health System (SUS), by the creation, expansion and articulation of health care points for people with temporary or permanent disabilities; progressive, regressive, or stable; intermittent or continuous (BRAZIL, 2012). In this rehabilitation network, the Specialized Rehabilitation Centers (CER) and the Orthopedic Workshops are the core network. CER is an ambulatory point of care specialized in rehabilitation that performs diagnosis, treatment, concession, adaptation and maintenance of assistive technology, which includes equipment, products, systems, services, methodologies, strategies and practices. These centers aim to promote functionality related to the activity and participation of people with disabilities, disability or reduced mobility. The Orthopedic Workshops are the ones responsible for the dispensing, manufacturing, adaptation and the maintenance of the orthotics, prostheses and mobility aids (OPM) for people with disabilities. In total, there are 226 centers and 38 workshops in the country (BRASIL, 2012; BRAZIL, 2014). Since assistive technologies have a fundamental role in the functionality of the individual who experiences some category of disability, OPMs must reach society in the form of economically accessible goods and services, promoting social inclusion in its broadest sense, with comfort and lightness. However, conventional manufacturing methods are characterized by having handcrafted method, which in addition to demanding the patient's availability during the manufacturing process, currently leads to high abandonment rates, due to the delay in the entire delivery process (BRAZIL, 2014). Thus, it is necessary that RECs with orthopedic workshops operate seeking efficacy, effectiveness and safety of the health services offered, since it is necessary to have transparency in the development and in the policies monitoring related to people with disabilities, to ensure the provision of a health care with quality, and that the costs and results of these health services are carefully assessed. In this context, it is proposed to conduct a Rapid Review to gather and synthesize the available evidence that presents an expanded panorama of the provision of services from the CER's, which have orthopedic workshops implanted in their facilities, aiming to establish a diagnosis on the quality of provision services in these locations, in order to contribute to the identification of gaps and flaws in the process
