    Correlated forward-backward dissociation and neutron spectra as a luminosity monitor in heavy ion colliders

    Detection in zero degree calorimeters of the correlated forward-backward Coulomb or nuclear dissociation of two colliding nuclei is presented as a practical luminosity monitor in heavy ion colliders. Complementary predictions are given for total correlated Coulomb plus nuclear dissociation and for correlated forward-backward single neutrons from the giant dipole peak.Comment: 16 pages, latex, revtex source, four postscript figure

Untuk memperoleh datadan informasi yang diperlukan guna menyusun LKP ini, penulis menggunakanmetode observasi dan wawancara. Selain itu, penulis juga mengambil beberapateori dari buku yang berkaitan dengan cost per ton dan pedoman yang digunakanoleh PT. Lafarge Cement Indonesia, yaitu Lafarge Holcim Accounting ReportingPrincipal.Perhitungan cost per ton semen dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasiSystem Application and Product in data processing (SAP). Departemen yangterlibat dalam proses produksi semen memasukkan biaya-biaya yang terjadiselama proses produksi. Kemudian pihak Plant Control Department akanmemeriksa kembali kode biaya dan kode departemen untuk memastikan apakahsudah sesuai dengan kode yang ditentukan oleh perusahaan.     Pair-vibrational states in the presence of neutron-proton pairing

    7 pages, 3 tables, 1 figure, accepted for publication in Physics Letters BPair vibrations are studied for a Hamiltonian with neutron-neutron, proton-proton and neutron-proton pairing. The spectrum is found to be rich in strongly correlated, low-lying excited states. Changing theratio of diagonal to off-diagonal pairing matrix elements is found to have a large impact on the excited-state spectrum. The variational configuration interaction (VCI) method, used to calculate the excitation spectrum, is found to be in very good agreement with exact solutions for systems with large degeneracies having equal T=0T=0 and T=1T=1 pairing strengths

    On the stability of some isoperimetric inequalities for the fundamental tones of free plates

    We provide a quantitative version of the isoperimetric inequality for the fundamental tone of a biharmonic Neumann problem. Such an inequality has been recently established by Chasman adapting Weinberger's argument for the corresponding second order problem. Following a scheme introduced by Brasco and Pratelli for the second order case, we prove that a similar quantitative inequality holds also for the biharmonic operator. We also prove the sharpness of both such an inequality and the corresponding one for the biharmonic Steklov problem
