    Why Care About Non-Natural Reasons?

    Are non-natural properties worth caring about? I consider two objections to metaethical non-naturalism. According to the intelligibility objection, it would be positively unintelligible to care about non-natural properties that float free from the causal fabric of the cosmos. According to the ethical idlers objection, there is no compelling motivation to posit non-natural normative properties because the natural properties suffice to provide us with reasons. In both cases, I argue, the objection stems from misunderstanding the role that non-natural properties play in the non-naturalist's understanding of normativity. The role of non-natural properties is not to be responded to, but to "mark" which natural properties it is correct for us to respond to in certain ways

    The use of a formal sensitivity analysis on epidemic models with immune protection from maternally acquired antibodies

    This paper considers the outcome of a formal sensitivity analysis on a series of epidemic model structures developed to study the population level effects of maternal antibodies. The analysis is used to compare the potential influence of maternally acquired immunity on various age and time domain observations of infection and serology, with and without seasonality. The results of the analysis indicate that time series observations are largely insensitive to variations in the average duration of this protection, and that age related empirical data are likely to be most appropriate for estimating these characteristics

    This report summarizes habitation design guidelines for deep space habitats, which were derived from the NASA Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships (NextSTEP) Phase 2 Habitat Ground Test Program. All data presented in this document have been contractor-deidentified and approved for public release. The report prioritizes capabilities and recommends allocating those capabilities to either the Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) or the International Habitat (I-Hab). A review of the design guidelines is presented in the main body of the report, along with a list of the 170 specific design guidelines with references to the specific data sources from which they were derived
