Records of Vespa orientalis Linnaeus, 1771 for 28 islands of Greece are given: in 18 islands (Agistri, Euboea, Folegandros, Kalamos, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kos, Leros, Lefkada, Naxos, Nisyros, Paros, Patmos, Pserimos, Telendos, Tilos, Tinos, Sifnos), these occurrences are the first record of the species for them. The total number of Greek islands in which V. orientalis is known becomes 33

Vengono riportati i reperti ornitologici del Museo di Storia Naturale di Firenze provenienti da località attualmente comprese nei confini del Parco Regionale della Maremma. Tutti risalgono ai tempi in cui Enrico Hillyer Giglioli era il direttore della collezione vertebrati. Tra i reperti vi sono due capovaccai (Neophron percnopterus) presi sul nido e quattro calandre (Melanocorypha calandra): tali specie risultano oggi in Maremma rispettivamente estinta come nidificante e completamente estinta. EXPRESS: Trajectories of verbal fluency and executive functions in multilingual and monolingual children and adults: A cross-sectional study

The development of verbal fluency is associated with the maturation of executive function skills, such as the ability to inhibit irrelevant information, shift between tasks and hold information in working memory. Some evidence suggests that multilinguistic upbringing may underpin disadvantages in verbal fluency and lexical retrieval, but can also afford executive function advantages beyond the language system including possible beneficial effects in older age. This study examined the relationship between verbal fluency and executive function in 324 individuals across the lifespan by assessing the developmental trajectories of English monolingual and multilingual children aged 7 to 15 years (N=154) and adults from 18 to 80 years old (N=170). The childhood data indicated patterns of improvement in verbal fluency and executive function skills as a function of age. Multilingual and monolingual children had comparable developmental trajectories in all linguistic and non-linguistic measures used in the study with the exception of planning, for which monolingual children showed a steeper improvement over the studied age range relative to multilingual children. For adults, monolinguals and multilingual participants had comparable performance on all measures with the exception of non-verbal inhibitory control and response times on the Tower of London task: monolinguals showed a steeper decline associated with age. Exploratory factor analysis indicated that verbal fluency was associated with working memory and fluid intelligence in monolingual participants but not in multilinguals. These findings raise the possibility that early acquisition of an additional language may impact on the development of the functional architecture serving high-level human cognition

New occurrence records for two species of Hymenoptera Stephanidae are provided from several states of Europe. Stephanus serrator (Fabricius, 1798) is recorded for the first time for Portugal and with precise locality for Switzerland. Moreover, it is recorded for the first time in the following regions: Navarre (Spain), Wallonia (Belgium), Hesse, Berlin and Bavaria (Germany), Aosta Valley, Lombardy, Veneto, Abruzzo, Campania and Calabria (Italy), and Attica (Greece). Megischus anomalipes (Foerster, 1855) is recorded for the first time in mainland Portugal and Campania (Italy)

Gestione integrata delle risorse umane, infotelematiche e logistiche in Regione Lombardia : Analisi, ipotesi di soluzione e realizzazione di uno strumento di cooperazione

L’elaborato rappresenta il deliverable intermedio di un progetto seguito nel corso di un periodo di stage svolto presso Lombardia Informatica S.p.A., azienda che fornisce servizi di Information Technology all’Ente Regione Lombardia. L’obiettivo del progetto è quello di individuare ed analizzare i problemi causati dalla gestione non integrata delle informazioni sugli asset Regionali, attraverso uno studio top-down dell’AS-IS, che riesca a contestualizzarli in una visione di alto livello e che permetta di definire una soluzione complessiva per il TO-BE. La prima parte della tesi fornisce uno studio di alto livello della situazione attuale in Regione Lombardia, e fornisce anche una overview dei principali sistemi informativi regionali. La seconda parte rappresenta invece l’analisi di dettaglio delle principali problematiche emerse attraverso l’analisi di alto livello. Per l’analisi ci si avvale dell’applicativo MEGA come strumento di Business Process Analysis e di Enterprise Architecture. Infine, sulla base delle problematiche riscontrate, viene proposta la soluzione complessiva e si fornisce un’implementazione tecnica in Visual Basic di una parte di tale soluzione
