Body language is an important content for the area of physical education in primary school. Besides, we are going to define the purposes or objectives that we intend to achieve through the express capacities, by sequencing these ones and showing some didactic notions for its development. We also emphasise the suitability of this content to the transmission of values, and finally, we present a practical session as an example
In this publication, we deal with the teaching of physical education in Spain, mainly in the education stage of primary education (6-12 years old), providing ideas that can be generalized to other contexts and situations. We begin with some brief reflections on the concept of physical education that should include, from our point of view, three key words: science, mobility and education. Then we propose a description of the elements of the curriculum: goals, content, methodology and assessment, quoting some studies that help us to understand how they are applied in practice. Finally, we complete a specific section on motivation in the classroom and on short-term scheduling as the most significant for teachers
Facts and Challenges about Asthma and COVID-19 among the Paediatric Population: A Systematic Literature Review
A systematic review of the literature was conducted to analyse the factors that affect the
probability of the paediatric asthma population suffering from COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2, such as
asthma phenotypes, inhaled corticosteroids, and the effects of lockdown. This systematic review
was based on PRISMA guidelines. A bibliographic search was conducted using BNE, BVS (LILAC),
CSIC (IME, ISOC), IBECS, Scielo, Scopus, Medline, and PubMed, using the following search profile:
(COVID-19 or 2019-NCOV or SARS-CoV-2 or COV-19) AND asthma AND (children or adolescents
or youths or children or teenagers). The results were limited to those articles published between
December 2019 and December 2020, selecting only articles published in Spanish, English and French
that included the study population (children aged 0–18 years). Among the 1066 results of the
bibliographic search and seven articles selected from a manual search, only 19 articles were found
to fit our eligibility criteria. Most of the articles highlight the effects of lockdown on the paediatric
asthma population, increased therapeutic compliance, and the role of inhaled corticosteroids and
intrinsic factors such as ACE2 receptors as causes of the decreased prevalence of COVID-19 among
the paediatric asthma population. This population has unique characteristics that serve as protective
factors against COVID-19. The safety measures implemented during the lockdown period along
with inhaled corticosteroid treatment also contributed to this protectio
A cross-border cooperation project between Spain and Portugal to improve the quality of life of the population in Primary School
We present a project designed to raise awareness among school community members, encouraging them to engage with a change in their lifestyle and promoting healthy eating habits and exercise. We propose strategies for action on risk factors for several diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular illness or cancer amongst others, including psychological disorders related with eating habits. The project is divided into four parts to determine the current situation regarding habits of the primary schoolchildren from schools in Andalucía, Algarve and Baixo Alentejo. The aim of this project is to understand the real situation in these areas and put forward a proposal for intervention in accordance with the needs identified, which may serve as a point of reference in the drive to improve health

Physical Activity Programmes in the Treatment of Addictions: A Systematic Review
Background: The scientific literature was reviewed with the aim of determining
the current state of the research on relationships between physical activity programmes and addiction
treatment. Methods: The search was carried out in the WOS, Scopus and PubMed databases,
restricting the publication language to English and Spanish, and it was limited to studies conducted
in the last 5 years, i.e., between 1 January 2016 and 31 November 2021, selecting only open-access
articles with physical activity programmes for the treatment of addictions to harmful substances.
Results: Of the 38 initial articles selected, a total of 10 articles were ultimately included, as they met
the established eligibility criteria after performing a more exhaustive analysis. The results show
a positive relationship between physical activity and adherence to addiction cessation treatment.
Conclusions: Physical activity has been incorporated into coadjuvant treatments in combination
with other pharmacological or behavioural treatments. These results strengthen the importance of
promoting physical activity in rehabilitation and substance-withdrawal treatments. Complementarily,
physical activity programmes improve other health variables that influence the quality of life, such as
sleep quality and mood, and reduce the risk of social exclusion. Physical activity also directly reduces
a sedentary lifestyle, which is responsible for more than 40 diseases and chronic disorder
