An inventory of state natural resources information systems
The status of a project to inventory state natural resources information systems is summarized. All tasks accomplished are described, and tasks remaining to be completed are outlined
Rethinking the Penalty for the Failure to File Gift Tax Returns
In this article, the authors argue that Congress must reform the penalty structure associated with the failure to file gift tax returns if it wants to maintain the integrity of the transfer tax system
Gravitational waveforms for spinning compact binaries
The rotation of the bodies and the eccentricity of the orbit have significant
effects on the emitted gravitational radiation of binary systems. This work
focuses on the evaluation of the gravitational wave polarization states for
spinning compact binaries. We consider binaries on eccentric orbits and the
spin-orbit interaction up to the 1.5 post-Newtonian order in a way which is
independent of the parameterization of the orbit. The equations of motion for
angular variables are included. The formal expressions of the polarization
states are given with the inclusion of higher order corrections to the
waveform
The One-Hundredth Anniversary of the Federal Estate Tax: It’s Time to Renew Our Vows
The approaching one-hundredth anniversary of the federal estate tax is an opportune time to revisit its historical origins, its role in our government and society through the years, and its current and future place in our fiscal firmament. This Article argues that the reasons behind the enactment of the estate tax in 1916—to raise revenue during a time of war, enhance the progressivity of the tax system, and curb concentrations of wealth—are even more compelling in 2016. As a result, this Article argues that revitalization of the estate tax should be a central tax reform plank of the new administration in 2017
Tax Myopia Meets Tax Hyperopia: The Unproven Case Of Increased Judicial Deference To Revenue Rulings
Directing A Piece of My Heart
This document is a thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the Masters of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts at Minnesota State University, Mankato. It is a detailed account of Matthew Caron\u27s directorial process for A Piece of My Heart by Shirley Lauro. The play was produced in the Andreas Theatre and ran from September 17 to 23, 2014. The thesis chronicles the director\u27s artistic process from pre-production through performance in five chapters: a pre-production analysis, an historical and critical perspective, a rehearsal and performance journal, a post-production analysis and a process development analysis. Appendices and works cited are included
