Physiological Profile of Brazilian Elite Soccer Players: Comparison between U-17, U-20 and professionals
Possible differences in the physical values related to characteristics of the age group and the play positions in soccer. The aims to analyze the isokinetic muscle strength profiles, anthropometric, neuromuscular and cardiovascular characteristics, comparing age, categories and play positions. 105 players divided into U-17, U-20, Professional and six play positions. The isokinetic test, anthropometric measurements, counter-movement jump test with arms and yo-yo intermittent recovery test were performed. Significant differences (p<0.05) were found in the professionals compared to U-20 and U-17 for body mass, height, body fat, VO2max and for U-17 in relation to professionals in the isokinetic test. Significant differences were also found between play positions (p<0.05) for body mass, height, VO2max and isokinetic. Soccer athletes playing in different positions have different profiles of physiological characteristics and U-17 have a lower level of strength compared to professionals, suggesting the importance of training specificity
participação nesses avanços seja reconhecida, as carências continuam gigantescas.
By analyzing the performance of the BNDES’ financing in the urban passenger
transport sector over the last three decades, we are able to state that, even though
progress has been expressive in several aspects and the Bank’s participation in such
progress is recognized, gaps remain colossal. A large part of this gap can be attributed
to pressure resulting from the accelerated demographic growth throughout the
second half of the 20th century. This was intensified by urbanization that was not
duly accompanied by improvements in urban management instruments or the
redistribution of financial resources. Such funding was needed by municipalities
to invest in infrastructure, which only came about with the Constitution of 1988.
Nevertheless, we cannot omit the immediatist view of managers, who place longterm
investment projects low on the list of priorities when it comes to collective
passenger transport
THE PRENATAL NURSING CONSULTATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF KRISTEN SWANSON'S THEORY OF CARE
Objective: to understand the meanings attributed by Amazonian women regarding the prenatal nursing consultation.Method: descriptive, exploratory, and qualitative study, conducted through semi-structured interviews with the participation of 14 pregnant women in a basic health unit in the State of Pará, Brazil, between the months of August and November 2020. Data were transcribed and submitted to content analysis and supported based on the optics of Kristen Swanson's Theory of Care. Results: prenatal care must be focused on creating a bond and the Amazonian woman's singularity, allowing for her understanding to meet the women's specificities, articulating integral health care, a relationship of knowing and being with the woman and her family, for relationships of exchange and involvement, providing a link to maternal health. Conclusion: concepts from the theory of care allow the nurse to be with the woman and provide individualized, singular, particularized care within the context of prenatal care

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test: Background, Applicability and Interpretation
Cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) has been gaining importance as a method of functional assessment in Brazil and worldwide. In its most frequent applications, CPET consists in applying a gradually increasing intensity exercise until exhaustion or until the appearance of limiting symptoms and/or signs. The following parameters are measured: ventilation; oxygen consumption (VO2); carbon dioxide production (VCO2); and the other variables of conventional exercise testing. In addition, in specific situations, pulse oximetry and flow-volume loops during and after exertion are measured. The CPET provides joint data analysis that allows complete assessment of the cardiovascular, respiratory, muscular and metabolic systems during exertion, being considered gold standard for cardiorespiratory functional assessment.1-6 The CPET allows defining mechanisms related to low functional capacity that can cause symptoms, such as dyspnea, and correlate them with changes in the cardiovascular, pulmonary and skeletal muscle systems. Furthermore, it can be used to provide the prognostic assessment of patients with heart or lung diseases, and in the preoperative period, in addition to aiding in a more careful exercise prescription to healthy subjects, athletes and patients with heart or lung diseases. Similarly to CPET clinical use, its research also increases, with the publication of several scientific contributions from Brazilian researchers in high-impact journals. Therefore, this study aimed at providing a comprehensive review on the applicability of CPET to different clinical situations, in addition to serving as a practical guide for the interpretation of that test
