At Grand-Lahou 7,000 hectares are under severe threat of the Côte d'Ivoire lethal yellowing (CILY) phytoplasma. The programme has so far trained 1,960 farmers regarding identification of the different stages and management of the disease, as well as establishing plant clinics, which provide a platform for knowledge exchange between researchers and farmers.
