Health planning beneath the hermeneutical focus

This paper analyses the constitution of the health-planning field, in Brazil, using a Hermeneutical analysis of Abrasco papers, published during the eighties. With this purpose, a theoretical fundamentality is made in order to clarify the dilemmas of this area. Finally, a theorical proposal is made to support a reconstitution of health planning field.Este artigo investiga a constituição do campo do planejamento em saúde no Brasil a partir de uma análise hermenêutica de documentos da Abrasco da década de 1980. Com essa finalidade, realiza-se uma fundamentação teórica e ensaia-se uma análise dos textos para elucidar os dilemas da área neste início de século. No final, propõe-se a utilização de alguns conceitos teóricos para subsidiar uma reconstituição do campo do planejamento em saúde.19720

Public health and mental health: methodological tools to evaluate the Brazilian Network of Referral Centers for Psycho-Social Care (CAPS) in the Brazilian Unified Health System

This article presents a preliminary discussion of potential methodological tools for qualitative research on the Network of Referral Centers for Psycho-Social Care (CAPS) in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). The relevance of mental health within the field of public health is examined. The study focuses on the high prevalence of mental disorders and the disproportionate lack of studies on the interface between mental health and public health. The establishment of an interdisciplinary field between public health and mental health is proposed to meet common needs by achieving similar perspectives in knowledge and practice. A particular group of tools is proposed, emphasizing the importance of reclaiming and guaranteeing the roles of various social actors to shape the assessment process, the need for collecting and standardizing academic studies on the topic, and the importance of promoting a new research field focusing on public health policies to support policymakers, managers, and health teams in reshaping their practices.Trata-se de discussão preliminar sobre possível instrumental metodológico para pesquisa avaliativa da rede de Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) do SUS. Problematiza-se a relevância que a área da saúde mental deveria ter para a saúde coletiva, considerando a alta prevalência de transtornos psíquicos e relativa carência de estudos da interface dessas áreas. Destacam-se as características dos CAPS para demonstrar que são serviços particularmente complexos. Considera-se imprescindível a aproximação das duas áreas para a constituição de um campo interdisciplinar de saberes e práticas, e aponta-se a necessidade dessa convergência para o desenvolvimento de um processo avaliativo sistemático dos CAPS. Levando-se em conta a complexidade do objeto e visando gerar subsídios para a Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira, com base em instrumentos da pesquisa avaliativa, propõe-se: a importância de se resgatar a participação de diversos atores no processo avaliativo, a necessidade de coletar e sistematizar diversos estudos desenvolvidos na academia sobre o tema, e a importância de promover um novo território de pesquisa no âmbito das políticas públicas de saúde, que possa subsidiar formuladores, gestores e equipes na reformulação de suas práticas.1053106

Narrativas: utilização na pesquisa qualitativa em saúde

The present bibliographic review followed a path through several chains of thought concerned with studying narratives. Some classical studies on narrative structure with origins within literature, history, communications theory and psychoanalysis were analyzed with the aim of exploring whether their categories and concepts would be methodologically applicable to qualitative health-related research. In the conclusions, the potential for using narratives to study situations in which there is interest in mediations between experience and language, between structure and events, between subjects and collective groups or between memory and political action are highlighted. These are questions that traditionally are of interest within Brazilian public health with regard to the field of "Policy, Planning and Management".La revisión bibliográfica realiza un recorrido por varias corrientes del pensamiento que se ocuparon de estudiar las narrativas. Se analizaron estudios clásicos de estructura narrativa oriundos de la literatura, de la historia, de la teoría de la comunicación y del psicoanálisis para explorar si sus categorías y conceptos serian metodológicamente aplicables en la investigación cualitativa de la salud. Interface Between Intellectual Disability And Mental Health: Hermeneutic Review.

A literature review was conducted aiming to understand the interface between the Intellectual Disability and Mental Health fields and to contribute to mitigating the path of institutionalizing individuals with intellectual deficiencies. The so-called dual diagnosis phenomenon remains underestimated in Brazil but is the object of research and specific public policy internationally. This phenomenon alerts us to the prevalence of mental health problems in those with intellectual disabilities, limiting their social inclusion. Ainda subestimado no Brasil, mas constituindo-se internacionalmente como objeto de investigações e de políticas públicas específicas, o chamado diagnóstico dual alerta à prevalente ocorrência de problemas de saúde mental em pessoas com deficiência intelectual e sua consequente limitação aos processos de inclusão social. Os achados corroboram a relevância da temática e apontam possível invisibilidade dos processos de adoecimento psíquico das pessoas com deficiência intelectual no País, o que pode contribuir para manutenção de percursos de institucionalização psiquiátrica dessa população

Mental health care actions in the psychosocial care network viewed by users

This study was designed to analyze actions in mental health from the psychosocial care network through the perspective of users. Fourth-generation participatory methodology was used. The findings highlight the challenges of implementing mental health services in primary care and in different points of the psychosocial network, as users recognize the existence of a health network but indicate limited access to it, because, as they see it, actions could be undertaken in spaces that would facilitate their inclusion and integration with the community. There is weakness in the articulation and in the implementation of integrated care plans in services and, consequently, mental health needs to remain centralized in specialized services, showing strong inhibition of the work in the psychosocial care network. We concluded that the limits of working in networks present challenges in the daily life of service users and in the construction of new possibilities and progress towards social inclusion.O objetivo deste artigo é analisar ações em saúde mental a partir da rede de atenção psicossocial pela perspectiva dos usuários. Usou-se metodologia participativa de quarta geração. De acordo com os resultados, os dados evidenciam desafios na implementação de ações de saúde mental na atenção básica e em diferentes pontos da rede psicossocial, visto que os usuários reconhecem a existência de uma rede de saúde, mas indicam acesso limitado a ela, pois entendem que as ações poderiam ser realizadas em espaços facilitadores de sua aproximação e inserção na comunidade. Há fragilidade na articulação e na efetivação de cuidados integrados nos serviços e, consequentemente, as demandas de saúde mental se mantêm centralizadas nos serviços especializados, demonstrando forte inibição do trabalho em rede. Conclui-se que os limites do trabalho em rede apresentam desafios no cotidiano dos usuários dos serviços e apontam outros desafios para a construção de novas possibilidades e avanços em direção à inserção social

[recovery: Systematic Review Of A Concept].

The concept of recovery has been described in papers as a state of psychic, physical and social recuperation of day-to-day functions. The scope of this article is to analyze the concepts of the term in different research methodologies and the paradigmatic evolution of the recovery concept. Systematic bibliographical research was conducted in the Pubmed database using the words recovery + schizophrenia limited to freely available full papers published in the previous two years. Nineteen papers were analyzed. The majority of the papers sought associations between characteristic data and recovery; few papers discussed the concept in a way to distinguish it from other words like cure or rehabilitation. Recovery as a state in which people with severe mental illness can feel like the creators of their own itinerary tend to be found in qualitative studies and in bibliographic reviews in which the meaning of recovery is not related to the lack of symptoms and tends to prioritize how participative the life of an individual can be despite the disease. Some quantitative studies detect this conceptual difference. In qualitative research there is an increase in the concept of recovery and in ways of promoting it.20125-3
