Problemas de conservação do conjunto arquitetônico do Parque Ibirapuera

Por mais de cinco décadas o sentido celebrativo das edificações comemorativas do IV Centenário de São Paulo ficou subordinado a finalidades pouco condizentes à sua motivação inicial. Recentemente, contudo, o conjunto de edifícios vem assistindo a um processo estimulante de transformação. A saída do Gabinete do Prefeito do Pavilhão Manoel da Nóbrega e o esforço de administrações subsequentes permitiu desmobilizar a Companhia de Processamento de Dados do Pavilhão Armando Arruda Pereira, o DETRAN-SP do antigo Palacio da Agricultura e a desocupação da marquise, ainda que parcial, completaram as iniciativas visando retomar usos compatíveis com o propósito original de sua realização. Porém, se estas mudanças parecem sugerir algum otimismo, as adaptações promovidas nos edifícios têm entrado em choque com aspectos fundamentais de sua concepção. As exigências de atualização e as novas demandas de uso são inúmeras. Vão da adequação às normas de acessibilidade e de segurança aos recursos técnicos de funcionamento e de controle ambiental. Muitas delas têm sido apresentadas como imperativos incontornáveis aos quais as estruturas arquitetônicas devem se submeter. O artigo proposto tem o propósito de analisar três das principais intervenções recentes: a adaptação do antigo Palácio da Agricultura para sediar o Museu de Arte Contemporânea da USP, as adaptações às normas de segurança do Pavilhão Cicillo Matarazzo e o Pavilhão Armando de Arruda Pereira a ser transformado no Museu das Culturas Brasileiras

Associação entre o reconhecimento de Provisões e o Lucro Líquido em empresas de capital aberto no Brasil

Just over 10 years after the law 11.638/07, which introduced accounting convergence in the country, researches have been developed to investigate how transactions that rely on professional judgment have been recognized, in order to evaluate how companies have responded to the new context of subjectivity in accounting decisions. From this, this research aimed to evaluate the association between the recognition of provisions and net income of Brazilian publicly traded companies, to find possible relations between the variation of profits and the recognition of provisions in Brazilian publicly traded companies. The results found in the analysis from 2013 to 2016 indicate that companies have increased the recognition of provisions associated with the profit calculation, indicating a possibility in reversing their provisions, if necessary, to stabilize future results. Although it does not address causality, it was observed that there is a possibility of managing results through the constitution of provisions in the presence of profit, or reversal of provisions in the presence of losses, considering the subjectivity in this type of transaction.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)Pouco mais de 10 anos da introdução da Lei 11.638 de 2007, que introduziu a convergência contábil no país, pesquisas têm sido desenvolvidas para investigar como as transações que dependem de julgamento profissional têm sido reconhecidas, para que se possa avaliar como as empresas tem respondido ao novo contexto de subjetividade nas decisões contábeis. A partir disso o objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a associação entre o reconhecimento de provisões e o lucro líquido das empresas brasileiras de capital aberto, com vistas a encontrar possíveis relações existentes entre a variação dos lucros e o reconhecimento das provisões nas empresas das empresas de capital aberto brasileiras. Os resultados encontrados na análise do período de 2013 a 2016 indicam que as empresas têm aumentado o reconhecimento de provisões, associados com a apuração de lucro, indicando uma possibilidade destas em reverterem suas provisões futuramente, caso necessário, para estabilizar resultados futuros. Apesar de não tratar a causalidade, observou-se que existe a possibilidade de estar ocorrendo gerenciamento de resultados via constituição de provisões na presença de lucro, ou reversão de provisões na presença de prejuízo, dada a subjetividade presente nesse tipo de transação

Síndrome de Dravet − experiência de uma Unidade de Neuropediatria

Introduction: Dravet syndrome (DS) is a rare and complex genetic epilepsy syndrome. The first seizures are generally induced by fever in the first year of life of a previously healthy child, and the condition is typically associated with impaired psychomotor development. The authors present a clinical review of DS patients followed at a Neuropediatric Unit of a level III Pediatric Hospital. Material and methods: Retrospective study of pediatric patients with DS followed at a Neuropediatric Unit between 2001 and 2019. Results: Twenty-two patients were diagnosed and followed in this institution. The median (interquartile range [IQR]) age at first seizure was 4.5 (4-5.75) months, which was described as generalized tonic-clonic, focal seizure, or focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizure, and 95% of patients had fever during this first episode. Neuroimaging and first electroencephalogram (EEG) were normal in all patients. SCN1A gene mutations were detected in 21 (95%) patients. All patients underwent multiple antiepileptic drug (AED) regimens. Psychomotor development was delayed in 20 (91%) patients, and 13 (59%) presented ataxia. At the end of follow-up, the median (IQR) age was 19 (8-23) years, with no reported deaths. Discussion: The characteristics of the first DS seizures are crucial for diagnosis, which can be supported by genetic sequencing, with most patients presenting an SCN1A gene mutation. Neuroimaging and EEG are typically normal at disease onset, but most patients present EEG abnormalities over time. Seizure management can be challenging, requiring a combination of multiple AEDs. Conclusion: DS is a progressive disease associated with poor cognitive and motor skill outcomes, resulting in great morbidity. Early diagnosis can help avoid unnecessary studies, optimize the therapeutic strategy, allow genetic counseling, and improve long-term outcomes.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Fazendas de café oitocentistas no Vale do Paraíba

The architectural remnants of the old coffee plantation estates configure remarkable examples of São Paulo State (Vale do Paraíba) rural architecture. The study of their components, as well as the way in which they were established and organized, was carried out by means of readings of coffee plantation literature of the time, and by the analysis of owners' deeds. On the last part of this essay, the focus is extended to the analysis of the remaining architecture of such edifications.As edificações remanescentes das fazendas de café do Vale do Paraíba constituem notáveis expressões da arquitetura rural paulista. Sobre a Interpolação e o Uso nas Atividades do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Astronomia

Astronomy represents an area of scientific knowledge that constantly works with numericaldata, derived from observations (spectroscopy, photometry, polarimetry) or from physical-mathematical models. Therefore, analyzing and interpreting data of a scientific nature ob-tained from graphs and/or tables represents a very common task for the astronomer. Often,there is a need to know, for example, the coordinate of an object for a certain date (year,month, day, hour, minute and second) of observation. In other cases, during the acquisi-tion phase, extraneous processes can happen and cause the partial or total commitment ofthe desired astronomical information, which can harm a later analysis (local or global) ofthe phenomenon studied. As the Interpolation method represents a topic of study that ispart of the training process for future Masters of the Postgraduate Program in Astronomy,Professional Master’s in Astronomy (MPASTRO) of the Physics Department of UEFS, weconsider it appropriate to present a small contribution on the Interpolation method in thecontext of Astronomy. An analysis is also carried out on the skills provided for in the BNCC(National Curricular Common Base).A Astronomia representa uma área do conhecimento científico que trabalha constantemente com dados numéricos, oriundos de observações (espectroscopia, fotometria, polarimetria) ou de modelos físico-matemáticos. Portanto, analisar e interpretar dados de natureza científica obtidos a partitr da leitura de gráficos e/ou tabelas representa uma tarefa bastante comum para o(a) astrônomo(a). Muitas vezes, existe a necessidade de se conhecer, por exemplo, a coordenada de um objeto para uma certa data (ano, mês, dia, hora, minuto e segundo) de observação. Em outros casos, durante a fase de aquisição, processos alheios podem acontecer e ocasionar o comprometimento, parcial ou total, da informação astronômica desejada, o que pode prejudicar uma posterior análise (local ou global) do fenômeno estudado. Como o método de Interpolação representa um tema de estudo que faz parte do processo de formação dos futuros mestres do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Astronomia, Mestrado Profissional em Astronomia (MPASTRO) do Departamento de Física da UEFS, julgamos apropriado apresentar uma pequena contribuição sobre o método de Interpolação no contexto da Astronomia. Aguiar Vallim Manor House: an interface between restoration design and urban space

Um dos testemunhos históricos pioneiros do desenvolvimento da cultura do café no século XIX, o Sobrado Aguiar Vallim é descrito, tomando como referência as origens de formação da vila de Bananal no Vale do Paraíba paulista. A seguir, o texto apresenta referências de formação da cidade de Bananal, detendo-se sobre as características particulares da configuração e do traçado desse pequeno núcleo urbano para situar o Sobrado Aguiar Vallim. A obra é descrita em sua relação com os principais logradouros urbanos e em seus aspectos arquitetônicos, notadamente em relação ao valor particular de sua organização espacial. O estado de conservação é examinado, bem como as intervenções sofridas no transcurso do tempo. Tais intervenções constituíram fatores agravantes das condições de estabilidade do edifício. A partir destas considerações, é apresentado o projeto de restauração, consolidação e adaptação ao novo uso do Sobrado Aguiar Vallim.One of the pioneering historical testimonies of the development of coffee plantations in the 19th century, Sobrado Aguiar Vallim is described, taking as reference the urban context of the formation of the village of Bananal in the Paraíba Valley of São Paulo State. Next the text presents references of formation of the city of Bananal. focusing on the particular characteristics of the configuration and the layout of this small urban center to locate the Sobrado Aguiar Vallim. The work is described in its relation to the main urban areas and its architectural aspects, notably in relation to the particular value of its spatial organization. The conservation conditions are examined, as well as the intervention suffered overtime. Such interventions were aggravating factors for the building’s stability conditions. Based on this considerations, the project for restoration, consolidation and adaption to new use of Sobrado Aguiar Vallim is presented.Peer Reviewe

Aplicação da metodologia SOTER para levantamento semi-detalhado de solos (1:50.000) na região de Quero-Quero do Município de Palmeira - PR

The methodology for small scale digital map and data base compilation - The SOTER methodology - were applied to at scale 1 :50.000, in the Quero-Quero region, at Paraná 2nd Plateau. lt was consulted the existing geological ,geomorphological and pedological data in order to delineate a map of SOTER units, whose terrains and soils attributes were stored in a proper file. These delineations were helped by the analisys of TM LANDSAT digital image. A total of 118 poligons were identified, and grouped into 36 SOTER units. The grouping criteria were soil development, trophic character, texture profile, rootable depth, nature of substratum and surface form. Due to changes in scale and in order to make the methodology compatible with local conditions, some of the concepts of SOTER were modiffied. The frame work used has showed efficient in order to delineate and group the mapping units: the SOTER units.Pages: 304-31

Sample stacking in CZE using dynamic thermal junctions I. Analytes with low dpK(a)/dT crossing a single thermally induced pH junction in a BGE with high dpH/dT

The possibility to compress analyte bands at the beginning of CE runs has many advantages. Analytes at low concentration can be analyzed with high signal-to-noise ratios by using the so-called sample stacking methods. Moreover, sample injections with very narrow initial band widths (small initial standard deviations) are sometimes useful, especially if high resolutions among the bands are required in the shortest run time. In the present work, a method of sample stacking is proposed and demonstrated. It is based on BGEs with high thermal sensitive pHs (high dpH/dT) and analytes with low dpK(a)/dT. High thermal sensitivity means that the working pK(a) of the BGE has a high dpK(a)/dT in modulus. For instance, Tris and Ethanolamine have dpH/dT = -0.028/degrees C and -0.029/degrees C, respectively, whereas carboxylic acids have low dpK(a)/dT values, i.e. in the -0.002/degrees C to+0.002/degrees C range. The action of cooling and heating sections along the capillary during the runs affects also the local viscosity, conductivity, and electric field strength. The effect of these variables on electrophoretic velocity and band compression is theoretically calculated using a simple model. Finally, this stacking method was demonstrated for amino acids derivatized with naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxaldehyde and fluorescamine using a temperature difference of 70 degrees C between two neighbor sections and Tris as separation buffer. In this case, the BGE has a high pH thermal coefficient whereas the carboxylic groups of the analytes have low pK(a) thermal coefficients. The application of these dynamic thermal gradients increased peak height by a factor of two (and decreased the standard deviations of peaks by a factor of two) of aspartic acid and glutamic acid derivatized with naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxaldehyde and serine derivatized with fluorescamine. The effect of thermal compression of bands was not observed when runs were accomplished using phosphate buffer at pH 7 (negative control). Phosphate has a low dpH/dT in this pH range, similar to the dK(a)/dT of analytes. It is shown that vertical bar dK(a)/dT-dpH/dT vertical bar >> 0 is one determinant factor to have significant stacking produced by dynamic thermal junctions
