O valor da visita em uma ação de visitação

Em função de um episódio ocorrido durante uma ação de visitação promovida, em 2015, pelo Projeto de Turismo Ecocultural de Base Comunitária do Território Mosaico Sertão Veredas ”“ Peruaçu, recupero dados coletados por uma pesquisa etnográfica realizada, entre 2006 e 2009, com o Povo dos Buracos, abrangido pelo projeto. No episódio, alguns agricultores recusavam-se a cobrar dinheiro a turistas que visitariam suas casas. Contrariamente, as coordenadoras da ação diziam ser necessário precificar a estadia dos turistas nas casas dos agricultores para que estes conseguissem gerar renda. Que espécie de relação outra com os turistas poderia ser desejada se não a da troca mercantil? Não se trata aqui de estabelecer externalidade entre dois mundos supostamente opostos, um dos laços comunitários, outro do mercado. O objetivo é indagar sobre como certas composições relacionais assumem maneiras específicas de lidar com o dinheiro. Por este caminho, ao final do artigo exploro a ideia de uma “filosofia política” presente nas práticas sertanejas de visita

Da criação de corpos, famílias e conhecimentos do axé (Belmonte-Bahia)

From four reports of experience of candomblé adherents in the city of Belmonte/BA, three women from the same biological family and the same terreiro, and a Babalorixá from another biological family and another terreiro, the article investigates how the processes of insertion in candomblé are related to the transmission of knowledge based on ancestry. Thus, it is shown that such processes are characterized by trajectories of healing of physical, psycho-emotional and spiritual diseases brokered in the creation of bodies and family bonds that occurs in the environment of the terreiros, along with practices of transmission of knowledge not reducible to the logic of modern biology and medicine. In this way, it points to other forms of understanding of gender categories other than those dominant in comprehensive society.A partir de cuatro informes de experiencia de adherentes de candomblé en la ciudad de Belmonte/BA, tres mujeres de la misma familia biológica y el mismo terreiro, y una Babalorixá de otra familia biológica y otro terreiro, el artículo investiga cómo los procesos de inserción en candomblé se relacionan con la transmisión de conocimientos basados en la ascendencia. Así, se demuestra que tales procesos se caracterizan por trayectorias de curación de enfermedades físicas, psicoemocionales y espirituales intermediadas en la creación de cuerpos y vínculos familiares que se produce en el entorno de los terreiros, junto con prácticas de transmisión de conocimientos no reducibles a la lógica de la biología y la medicina modernas. De esta manera, apunta a otras formas de comprensión de las categorías de género distintas de las dominantes en la sociedad integral.A partir de quatro relatos de experiência de adeptos do candomblé na cidade de Belmonte/BA, sendo três mulheres da mesma família biológica e do mesmo terreiro, e um Babalorixá de outra família biológica e de outro terreiro, o artigo investiga como os processos de inserção no candomblé se relacionam com a transmissão de conhecimentos baseados na ancestralidade. Assim, mostra-se que tais processos caracterizam-se por trajetórias de cura de doenças físicas, psicoemocionais e espirituais agenciadas na criação de corpos e vínculos familiares que se dá no ambiente dos terreiros, junto com práticas de transmissão de conhecimentos não redutíveis à lógica da biologia e da medicina modernas. Por este caminho, aponta-se para outras formas de entendimento das categorias de gênero que não as dominantes na sociedade abrangente

Effect of Ageing on Systemic Inflammatory Response in Acute Pancreatitis

Elderly patients show increased incidence of multiple organ dysfunction in acute pancreatitis possibly due to bacterial translocation. This is associated with increased susceptibility to infections in older people. Several reports have related this increased susceptibility to a proinflammatory status called inflammaging, which decreases the capacity of the immunological system to respond to antigens. Cellular senescence also contributes to this low-grade chronic inflammation in older subjects. We discuss here the effect of ageing on systemic inflammation, focusing on that induced by acute pancreatitis and some of the mechanisms involved. It is important to understand the immunological changes in the elderly to adjust treatment strategies in order to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with acute pancreatitis and other conditions that lead to systemic inflammation

Active Flexible Films for Food Packaging: A Review

This article belongs to the Special Issue Active and Intelligent Food Packaging Polymers.Active food packaging is a dynamic area where the scientific community and industry have been trying to find new strategies to produce innovative packaging that is economically viable and compatible with conventional production processes. The materials used to develop active packaging can be organized into scavenging and emitting materials, and based on organic and inorganic materials. However, the incorporation of these materials in polymer-based flexible packaging is not always straightforward. The challenges to be faced are mainly related to active agents' sensitivity to high temperatures or difficulties in dispersing them in the high viscosity polymer matrix. This review provides an overview of methodologies and processes used in the production of active packaging, particularly for the production of active flexible films at the industrial level. The direct incorporation of active agents in polymer films is presented, focusing on the processing conditions and their effect on the active agent, and final application of the packaging material. Moreover, the incorporation of active agents by coating technologies and supercritical impregnation are presented. Finally, the use of carriers to help the incorporation of active agents and several methodologies is discussed. Novel edible films made of polysaccharide from Anarcadium occidentale L.

Edible and/or biodegradable films have been evaluated in applications such as transportation of active materials, selective barrier to gases and solutes, and as an alternative to synthetic non-renewable packaging materials. This work aimed at producing and evaluating the mechanical characteristics of films of polysaccharide from the Anarcadium ocidentale L. tree gum (POLICAJU), in view to their application as protection to increase the shelf life of fruits and vegetables and as cutaneous dressing. Films with different POLICAJU concentrations (1% - 3% w/v) were cast using different plasticizers (sorbitol, glycerol and polyethylene glycol), at different concentrations (0.02 to 0.5% g/g of POLICAJU), in the presence and in the absence of Tween 80 as surfactant (0.05% w/w). The solution of 3.0% (w/v) of POLICAJU, 0.4% (w/w) sorbitol and 0.05% (w/w) Tween 80 was the one featuring a better flexibility and mechanical resistance (to traction). This has been determined with an INSTRON (model 4505) machine, with a load cell of 2.5 N. The film, of 0.07 mm thickness, stretched for a length 62 % higher than its original length, while resisting to a force of 0.2 N. These results suggest that this material has enough resistance to be used for the intended applications

EXPERIÊNCIA DE UMA CIRURGIÃ-DENTISTA NA RESIDÊNCIA EM SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA EM CONSULTAS COMPARTILHADAS DE PRÉ-NATAL

Aim:To report the experience of a dentist performing shared prenatal consultations at a Family Health Unit in the interior of Bahia. Method: Experience report type study aboutshared querieswhatwere planned based on the observation of the need for promotion and prevention in the oral health of pregnant women, which took place weekly from November 2020 to March 2021. The consultations were shared between the resident surgeon-dentist and the nurse, with care approaches related to different professional knowledge. Results: The shared appointments allowed a space for oral health promotion and prevention; perception of the strengthening of the bond between pregnant women and the dentist; expansion of access to dental services by patients, reflecting positively on the indicator of the proportion of pregnant women who had a dental appointment, with a progressive increase from 8% in the 2nd quarter of 2020 to 62% in the 2nd quarter of 2021, in addition to favoring training as a resident in understanding the importance of shared consultation in search of comprehensive care and strengthening of health services. Final considerations: Primary Health Care (PHC) is a privileged space to reorient care practices, being necessary, recognize the community's health demands for planning and coordinating care. The shared consultations increased the pregnant women's adherence to dental care, enabling sensitization them for oral health care and attention, despite the stigmas related to dental treatment in pregnant women.Objetivo: Relatar a experiência de uma cirurgiã-dentista na realização de consultas compartilhadas de pré-natal,  numa Unidade de Saúde da Família, no interior da Bahia. Método: Estudo do tipo relato de experiência acerca de consultas compartilhadas que foram planejadas a partir da observação da necessidade da promoção e prevenção em saúde bucal das gestantes, que aconteceram semanalmente no período de novembro de 2020 a março de 2021. As consultas foram compartilhadas entre a residente cirurgiã-dentista e a enfermeira, com abordagens de cuidado relacionadas aos diferentes saberes profissionais. Resultados: As consultas compartilhadas permitiram um espaço de promoção e prevenção em saúde bucal; percepção do fortalecimento do vínculo entre as gestantes e a dentista; ampliação do acesso aos serviços odontológicos pelas pacientes, refletindo positivamente no indicador de proporção gestantes que passaram por consulta odontológica com aumento progressivo de 8% no 2º quadrimestre de 2020 para 62% no 2º quadrimestres de 2021, além de favorecer a formação enquanto residente na compreensão da importância da consulta compartilhada em busca da integralidade do cuidado e do fortalecimento do serviços de saúde Considerações finais: A Atenção Primária em Saúde (APS) é um espaço privilegiado para reorientar práticas de cuidados, sendo necessário, reconhecer as demandas de saúde da comunidade para o planejamento e coordenação do cuidado. As consultas compartilhadas aumentaram a adesão das gestantes ao cuidado odontológico, possibilitando sensibilizá-las para o cuidado e atenção com a saúde bucal, apesar dos estigmas relacionados ao tratamento odontológico em gestantes

Os receptores opioides desempenham papel na patogênese da resposta inflamatória na \ud pancreatite aguda?

PURPOSE: To investigate the effect of the opioid blocker naltrexone in the inflammatory response in acute pancreatitis (AP). METHODS: Acute pancreatitis was induced in anesthetized male Wistar rats by retrograde injection of 2.5% sodium taurocholate diluted in 0.5ml saline into the main pancreatic duct. Animals were randomized to the following experimental groups: Control Group (n=9): animals received an intraperitoneal injection of saline solution (0.5ml), 15 minutes before the induction of AP. Naltrexone Group (n=9): animals received an intraperitoneal injection of naltrexone 0.5ml (15 mg/kg), 15 minutes before induction of AP. Peritoneal levels of TNF-alpha and serum levels of IL-6 and amylase were determined The volume of the ascitic fluid was also evaluated. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) activities were analyzed in homogenates of pulmonary tissue. RESULTS: There were no significant differences in the ascitic fluid volume, nor in TNF-alpha and IL-6 levels in the naltrexone group compared to controls. Treatment with naltrexone did not affect the lung MPO activity compared to control group. CONCLUSIONS: The opioid receptors don't play an important role in the pathogenesis of the inflammatory response in acute pancreatitis. If opioids affect leukocytes inflammatory signaling, there are no major implications in the pathogenesis of acute pancreatitis.OBJETIVO: Investigar o efeito do bloqueador opióide naltrexone na resposta inflamatória da pancreatite aguda.\ud METODOS: Pancreatite aguda foi induzida em ratos machos Wistar, através de injeção retrógada de solução de taurocolato de sódio a \ud 2,5% nos ductos pancreáticos. Os animais foram alocados em dois grupos: Grupo controle (n=9) animais receberam 0,5 ml de solução \ud salina intra-peritonial 15 minutos antes da indução da pancreatite aguda e Grupo naltrexone (n=9) animais receberam naltrexone (15mg/\ud kg de peso), em 0,5 ml de volume final por via intraperitoneal, 15 minutos antes da indução da pancreatite aguda. Foram avaliados o \ud volume de ascite, os níveis séricos de amilase e IL-6, assim como TNF-α peritoneal e a atividade da mieloperoxidase (MPO) no tecido \ud pulmonar.\ud RESULTADOS: Não foram encontradas diferenças significantes nos parâmetros analisados entre o grupo que recebeu solução salina \ud e o que recebeu naltrexone .\ud CONCLUSÕES:Os receptores opióides não desempenham papel importante na resposta inflamatória sistêmica associada à pancreatite \ud aguda. Se os opioides alteram a sinalização inflamatória nos leucócitos está ação não se reflete na patogênese da pancreatite agud
