Pertumbuhan UMKM yang sangat pesat tidak diimbangi dengan kemampuan untukmeningkatkan kinerja pemasarannya, oleh karena itu diperlukan strategi yang tepat dibidang pemasaranagar keberlanjutan USAha tetap terjaga. Penetrasi pasar merupakan salah satu startegi yang paling kecilmenanggung resiko kegagalan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pemasaran, yang dalam penelitian inidimediasi oleh bauran pemasaran. Namun, hasil temuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan pada UMKM KotaSemarang menunjukan bahwa penetrasi pasar memiliki pengaruh positif yang lebih besar dan signifikanterhadap kinerja pemasaran secara langsung daripada pengaruhnya yang dimediasi oleh bauran pemasaran.Oleh karena itu pengelolaan strategi penetrasi pasar harus terus ditingkatkan melalui peningkatankebertahanan pelanggan, peningkatan penjualan pada pasar yang telah ada, meningkatkan nilai,meningkatkan pangsa pasar telah ada, dan meningkatkan besaran pasar yang telah ada, sebagai upayauntuk mempertahankan keberlanjutan UMKM di Kota Semarang menghadapi era pasar global MasyarakatEkonomia Asean (MEA)

    Sumberdaya air merupakan kebutuhan pokok bagi makhluk hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menganalisis besarnya kebutuhan air masyarakat untuk aktivitas rumah tangga dan pertanian, 2) mengidentifikasi dampak-dampak kekeringan terhadap aktivitas rumah tangga dan pertanian, dan 3) mengetahui WTP terhadap ketersediaan sumberdaya air. Metode pengolahan data dilakukan dengan perhitungan kebutuhan air dan pemanfaatan aplikasi (SPSS) dengan menggunakan analisis seperti analisis frekuensi, korelasi, dan regresi linier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah ketersediaan air dari sumber mataair di daerah penelitian untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga dan pertanian melebihi kebutuhan, yaitu 25.865.917.491 m3/ tahun. Jumlah total kebutuhan air untuk keperluan rumah tangga dan pertanian sendiri adalah 2.085.033 m3/ tahun. Dampak kekeringan dari segi ekonomi yang paling utama adalah penurunan hasil panen (65%) dengan rata-rata hasil penjualan turun sebesar Rp.432.178, sedangkan dari segi lingkungan adalah menurunnya kesuburan tanah (44%). Berkenaan dengan kondisi tersebut, besaran WTP penduduk adalah Rp.17.318/rumah tangga/bulan. Nominal tersebut merupakan hasil perbandingan dengan rata-rata pengeluaran untuk memberli air bersih per bulan

UMKM harus mampu menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti meningkatkan inovasi produk dan jasa, pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan teknologi, serta perluasan area pemasaran. Pemasaran merupakan masalah mendasar bagi pengusaha kecil.Aspek penting dari pemasaran ini diteliti dalam konteks USAha kewirausahaan untuk melihat bagaimana teori pemasaran sesuai dengan praktek kewirausahaan. Namun diera globalisasi dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sangat pesat, diperlukan pengembangan pemasaran kewirausahaan yang mampu menjangkau seluruh konsumen dipenjuru dunia, yaitu melalui internet marketing atau E-Commerce. Penelitian ini berupaya mendapatkan model pengembangan pemasaran kewirausahaan dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja UMKM di Kota Semarang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemasaran kewirausahaan berpengaruh terhadap e-commerce memiliki koefisien jalur sebesar 0.694 dengan p t-tabel 1.98 dan kinerja UMKM dengan memiliki koefisien jalur sebesar 0.680 dengan p t-tabel 1.98, artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan

    In the recent past, significant research efforts have been put forth to fabricate cost-effective substrates for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) applications. Here we propose semiconducting TiO2 multi-leg nanotubes and Au nanoparticle-coated TiO2 multi-leg nanotubes (TiO2 MLNTs and Au/TiO2 MLNTs) as SERS substrates. The unique multi-leg architecture of TiO2 nanotubes demonstrated enhanced light-harvesting properties facilitated by an induced photonic absorption edge. Remarkable high SERS sensitivity is observed towards the detection of Methylene blue (MB), up to nM concentration (E.F. ∼104) using TiO2 MLNTs. The same is attributed to the resonantly matched photonic absorption edge of TiO2 MLNTs with the wavelength of incident laser probe light. On the other hand, the Au nanoparticle coating further leveraged the light absorption ability of TiO2 MLNTs with the aid of localized surface plasmon resonance mode. As such, Au/TiO2 MLNTs showed excellent enhancement in SERS sensitivity (E.F. ∼105, for nM of MB) facilitated by the synergy between the plasmonic modes of Au and the photonic absorption mode of TiO2 MLNTs. UV-Vis diffuse reflectance and Raman spectroscopy measurements are highlighted to elucidate the light absorption and SERS sensitivity of the TiO2 and Au/TiO2 MLNTs

We previously showed that phosphorylation of Ser49 of the α-subunit of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 (eIF2α) in two chemosensory neurons by PEK-1/PERK promotes entry of Caenorhabditis elegans into dauer diapause. Here, we identified and characterized the molecular determinants that confer sensitivity to effects of neuronal eIF2α phosphorylation on development and physiology of C. elegans. Isolation and characterization of mutations in eif-2Ba encoding the α-subunit of eIF2B support a conserved role, previously established by studies in yeast, for eIF2Bα in providing a binding site for phosphorylated eIF2α to inhibit the exchange factor eIF2B catalytic activity that is required for translation initiation. We also identified a mutation in eif-2c, encoding the γ-subunit of eIF2, which confers insensitivity to the effects of phosphorylated eIF2α while also altering the requirement for eIF2Bγ. In addition, we show that constitutive expression of eIF2α carrying a phosphomimetic S49D mutation in the ASI pair of sensory neurons confers dramatic effects on growth, metabolism, and reproduction in adult transgenic animals, phenocopying systemic responses to starvation. Furthermore, we show that constitutive expression of eIF2α carrying a phosphomimetic S49D mutation in the ASI neurons enhances dauer entry through bypassing the requirement for nutritionally deficient conditions. Our data suggest that the state of eIF2α phosphorylation in the ASI sensory neuron pair may modulate internal nutrient sensing and signaling pathways, with corresponding organismal effects on development and metabolism.     The Survival Strategy of Households Affected by Tidal Floods: The Cases of Two Villages in the Pekalongan Coastal Area

    Pekalongan is one of the coastal areas of Java Island that is affected by tidal floods. Tidal floods have various impacts on the social and economic conditions of the community, thus affecting their livelihoods. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a tidal flood, the socioeconomic characteristics of the community and the survival approach of coastal communities in Pekalongan. This study was conducted using a purposive sampling method in two villages in Pekalongan Regency, namely Jeruksari Village and Tegaldowo Village, because these two areas are affected by tidal floods. The study was conducted by using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs), as well as structured interviews. The structured interview sample consisted of 60 respondents who were selected at random using quota sampling. The analysis was using qualitative-descriptive and quantitative methods. The gathered data were then presented in tables, diagrams and maps. The results showed that tidal floods resulted in physical, economic, sociocultural, health, educational, and environmental damages to the communities in both villages. The majority of the community members only have an elementary school education and primarily work as labourers. There is a difference in the amount of family income between the two villages, where the average family in Jeruksari Village has a higher income (IDR 3,465,300 per month) than the average family in Tegaldowo Village with total household income of about IDR 2 million per month. The most frequently used approach for survival in both villages is what is known as the survival strategy, i.e. a strategy to meet the needs of life at a minimum level to survive
