Segundo descarte. Pesquisas sobre incunables con pedigrí

[ES] Se da a conocer el único ejemplar completo de "La perfección del triunfo militar" de Alonso de Palencia, publicado en sevilla 'sine notis' en torno a 1490. Se estudian también las circunstancias bibliográficas de este volumen, que procede de la biblioteca Salvá y antes de la de Cisneros, y del otro ejemplar conocido,sin embargo incompleto. Se indentifican varios otros que se han citado pero que son ejemplares fantasmas o inexistentes, siguiendo la pesquisa del coleccionismo y de los hurtos bibliográficos de los siglos XIX y XX.[EN] There is studied the unique complete copy of "La perfección del triunfo militar" (‘The perfection of the military triumph’) of Alonso of Palencia, published in sevilla ‘sine notis’ ca. 1490. There are studied also the bibliographical circumstances of this volume, which comes from the important Salvá’s Library and before of Cisneros’ Library, and the only other known copy, nevertheless incomplete, now at Biblioteca Nacional of Spain. There are indentified different several ‘ghost copies’ or non-existent, following the inquiry of the collecting and of the bibliographical thefts of the XIXth and XXth century

Le songe Chevaleresque. De la chevalerie de papier au rêve réel de Don Quichotte.

The "Quixote" is difficultly understandable without attending to the context in the most wide sense of the term. If it is true that, for don Quijote, as reader and actor, the Chivalry and his codes were a reality of signs, it is not less that in times of Cervantes still the Chivalry has a representative force to that it is necessary to recognize much more than a pure spoiled representation and already in ruin and loss. In this book there is studied the repercussion of the dream of Chivalry in the 16th century, attending to the fundamental store of this dream, the Books of Chivalry, to the uses of the Chivalry culture in the aristocratic world that internalizes it, exhibits it or the practice in the leisure and in the sport. There are attended also the historical background and circumstances little or known at all that allow to speak about an anachronistic reappearance of the chivalric dream in the reality and in the right in the last third of the 16th century. This happens exactly in the years of active maturity of Cervantes and of 'Alonso Quijano', that it forces us to throw a realistic look to the genesis of the "Quixote"

De la caballería real de Alonso Quijano al sueño de la caballería de Don Quijote

En este artículo se revisa el proceso en el que el "sueño de la caballería" a finales del siglo XVI hace posible imaginar un protagonista del "Quijote" de Cervantes de carne y hueso. Se estudia el impacto de la lectura de los libros de caballerías como prolongación de una teoría de la caballería y cómo Cervantes convierte la caballería real en un sueño meramente literario

Invención, difusión y recepción de la literatura popular impresa (Siglo XVI)

[ES]En este libro, el Prof. Cátedra estudia las variadas manifestaciones de la literatura de cordel durante el siglo XVI desde una perspectiva innovadora y con una amplia documentación inédita. Se investigan y se explican los mecanismos intrínsecos de la producción de géneros que están en la base del periodismo moderno, y que son, al mismo tiempo, supervivencia de la poesía narrativa de la Edad Media en tiempos de la aculturación tipográfica. Se estudian los medios de composición y las técnicas que utilizan sus autores más habituales, los ciegos, así como también las particularidades poéticas y retóricas de la literatura de cordel española del siglo XVI, junto con los medios y las maneras de difusión. Una parte principal del estudio atiende, precisamente, a la difusión de las obras de la literatura de cordel y en especial al modo en el que se leen o que se oyen leer. Este libro obtuvo el premio Bartolomé José Gallardo (2000).[EN] In this book, Prof. Cátedra studies the varied manifestations of the «literature de cordel» (chapbooks) during the 16th century from an innovative perspective and with a wide unpublished documentation. They are investigated and make clear the intrinsic mechanisms of the production of genres that are in the base of the modern journalism, and that they are, at the same time, a survival of the narrative poetry of the Middle Ages in times of the typographical acculturation. There are studied the system of composition and the mnemonic tecnologies that are in use among the most habitual authors, the blind persons, as well as also the poetical and rhetorical particularities of theese editorial genres of the 16th century, together with the means and the ways of diffusion. A principal part of the study attends, precisely, to the diffusion of the works of this kind of texts, and especially to the way that are read or hear readig. This book obtained the Bartolomé Jose Gallardo awards (2000)
