Free algebras in varieties of BL-algebras generated by a BL n-chain

Free algebras with an arbitrary number of free generators in varieties of BL-algebras generated by one BL-chain that is an ordinal sum of a finite MV-chain Ln and a generalized BL-chain B are described in terms of weak Boolean products of BL-algebras that are ordinal sums of subalgebras of L and free algebras in the variety of basic hoops generated by B. The Boolean products are taken over the Stone spaces of the Boolean subalgebras of idempotents of free algebras in the variety of MV-algebras generated by L N. © 2006 Australian Mathematical Society.Fil:Busaniche, M. Functional representation of finitely generated free algebras in subvarieties of BL-algebras

Consider any subvariety of BL-algebras generated by a single BL-chain which is the ordinal sum of the standard MV-algebra on [0,1] and a basic hoop H. We present a geometrical characterization of elements in the finitely generated free algebra of each of these subvarieties. In this characterization there is a clear insight of the role of the regular and dense elements of the generating chain. Flexible belongings and imaginary geographies: thinking about ways to build “place” from the account of Ecuadorian immigrants in Italy

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo conocer –a través de los relatos de un grupo de mujeres inmigrantes ecuatorianas en Italia– cómo se manifiesta un nuevo orden de inestabilidad en la producción de subjetividades contemporáneas. En un contexto en el que las posibilidades de conocimiento y contacto con lo otro permiten la proliferación –aparentemente indefinida– de vivencias y recorridos, se intentan vislumbrar algunas dinámicas claves para comprender las modalidades y características que adquiere la construcción del sentido de pertenencia (o no pertenencia) que los sujetos desarrollan en relación con los espacios sociales en los que participan. Por un lado, las “fronteras” concretas y de sentido establecidas por el Estado-Nación y, por el otro, la pluralidad de vivencias posibles y la pérdida de estabilidad y previsibilidad en los recorridos personales abiertos por la crisis actual de los mecanismos de integración que caracterizaron el régimen político y social definido – convencionalmente– de bienestar. En este horizonte de inestabilidades se abre la posibilidad de estar en lugares, imaginaria y virtualmente, como una búsqueda de espacios de relaciones duraderos y estables en los que sentirse parte.This article aims to learn –interviewing a group of Ecuadorian immigrant women in Italy– how a new order of instability in the contemporary production of subjectivities is manifested. In a context where the possibilities of knowledge and contact with the “other” allow proliferation of experiences –apparently indefinite– we can try to discern some social dynamics keys. They would allow us to understand the characteristics acquired by the construction of a sense of belonging (or not) that subjects develop in relation to the social spaces in which they participate. On the one hand, the concrete and meaningful “borders” established by institutions like the National-State, and on the other, the plurality of possible experiences and loss of stability and predictability which the current crisis in the mechanisms of integration –characterized by political and social regime conventionally-defined “welfare state”– opens. We will try to understand how this horizon of uncertainty produces conditions of possibility where some people “could be” in imaginary places, while they are attempting to be part of “durable and stable” social relationships.Fil: Serra Busaniche, Maria Nazaret. REMARKS ON AN ALGEBRAIC SEMANTICS FOR PARACONSISTENT NELSON’S LOGIC

In the paper Busaniche and Cignoli (2009) we presented a quasivariety of commutative residuated lattices, called NPc-lattices, that serves as an algebraic semantics for paraconsistent Nelson’s logic. In the present paper we show that NPc-lattices form a subvariety of the variety of commutative residuated lattices, we study congruences of NPc-lattices and some subvarieties of NPc-lattices

La vigencia semiótica de Peirce

El 30 de marzo de 1993 se realizó una Mesa Redonda, "Sobre semiologías y semióticas", organizada por la Maestría en Sociosemiótica del Centro de Estudios Avanzados de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Participaron Graciela Busaniche, Nicolás Rosa y Luis Prieto. La reunión académica se llevó a cabo, precisamente, en homenaje de este último.Luis Prieto, actualmente profesor en Ginebra, fue catedrático en la Universidad de Córdoba hasta el año 1966. Sus enseñanzas fueron sustanciales para el desarrollo de los estudios lingüísticos.Se reproducen las ponencias presentadas en la Mesa Redonda. La de Luis Prieto fue reelaborada por él mismo a partir de un trabajo escrito originariamente en italiano. La traducción ha sido efectuada expresamente para esta publicación.
