The aim of this final seminar is to provide concise and literature review, on the present knowledge of meteorites and their determination with emphasis on iron meteorites (siderites). In addition, for example of iron meteorite determination, XRD and XRF analysis of three potential extraterrestrial samples from three different localities in the Republic of Croatia was performed. The qualitative and quantitative composition was determined. The analyzed samples did not show elemental composition characteristic for iron meteorites in which iron and nickel are predominant. In one analyzed sample the predominating element was chromium, while in the other two samples it was manganese. No mineral phase characteristic for meteorites was found

Every business must increase its sales by making regular promotions every year. To enable them to survive, they will measure their ability to gather market size and market share on their business lines. The main purpose of this research is to measure the effectiveness of promotion expenses on gathering market size and market share of Universitas Advent Indonesia from all feeders (Senior High Schools) of Seventh-day Adventist Schools in West Indonesia. This study uses an 8 (eight) years sample, starting from school years 2011/2012 ā€“ 2018/2019. Using component analysis method. The component is analyzed based on yearly promotion expenses and the result of market size and market share. The result shows that every year the effectiveness of promotion expenses on gathering market size is very effective i.e for school year 2011/2012 = 383.17%; 2012/2013 = 798.31%; 2013/2014 = 651.75%; 2014/2015 = 656.48%; 2015/2016 = 685.92%; 2016/2017 = 444.55; 2017/2018 = 655.95%; 2018/2019 = 543.54%. The average for eight years = 579.14% (very effective). While the effectiveness of promotion expenses on gathering market share is also very effective i.e for school year 2011/2012 = 102.82%; 2012/2013 = 198.65%; 2013/2014 = 168.83%; 2014/2015 = 149.62%; 2015/2016 = 176.42%; 2016/2017 = 122.53%; 2017/2018 = 173.97%; 2018/2019 = 138.35%. The average for eight years = 149.21% (very effective). Keywords: Effectiveness, Promotion Expenses; Market Size; Market Share; Feedersā€™ School

Rule Utilitarian and Deontologist Perspectives on Comparisons of Torture and Killing

In this Note, I provide potential replies for two important groups that support a universal prohibition of torture. Each arrives at the same conclusion by using different modes of analysis. Consequently, both groups must overcome different obstacles to distinguish torture and legal killing. Ultimately, both groups successfully defend their point. In Section I, I describe the argument that torture should be permitted because it results in less physical harm than legal killing. However repulsive the practice may be, torture usually leaves the victim alive to see another day. If killing is sometimes permissible, analogical reasoning suggests that torture ought to be sometimes permissible as well. From this comparison, many conclude that the law ought to allow officials to torture to prevent imminent catastrophes. This argument can be dissected into a six-step syllogism. It makes two claims and one important assumption. In Section II, I present rule utilitarianism\u27s reply to this argument. I describe how rule utilitarians analyze morality. Rule utilitarians conclude that torture must be banned unconditionally for two reasons. First, the benefits of allowing some torture are marginal and uncertain, while the costs are substantial, given the distinct likelihood of unnecessary torture. Second, allowing some torture might drive a slippery slope to torture in less justifiable circumstances. But why are rule utilitarians not similarly concerned about unnecessary killings and a slippery slope to more killing? What makes torture so different that it requires a universal ban? Numerous inherent epistemic barriers and conceptual obstacles distinguish torture and killing. First, to interpret the preconditions for torture correctly, officials must overcome the modal problem of distinguishing possible dangers and actual threats, and then overcomeā€”conceptual vagueness in the terms imminence and catastrophe. Second, our inability to distinguish false and truthful disclosures of subjects causes the infliction of unnecessary pain. Third, conceptual vagueness in the term suspect, only exacerbated by the frustration of war, makes torture more susceptible to the slippery slope. Finally, because prohibition of torture epitomizes the legal archetype of non-brutality, legalizing torture has a unique ability to affect other laws. In Section III, I provide deontology\u27s reply to the objection. I describe how deontologists analyze morality and how their analysis differs from rule utilitarianism. Deontologists forbid torture under all circumstances because it violates the victim\u27s rights. Such doctrinal rigidity attracts much criticism, particularly in the face of catastrophic danger, but deontologists effectively expose the weaknesses of these criticisms. Responding to analogies to legal killings, deontologists present two arguments. First, the objection contains a hidden premise that deontologists reject, ultimately dismantling the syllogism. Second, using the moral criteria deontologists accept, torture and the state-sanctioned killings can be distinguished. Torture attacks the defenseless and specifically targets human dignity

    TQM + ISO + KAIZEN = ā€œWORLD QUALITYā€ (SEBUAH KAJIAN KONSEP)

Quality is an ongoing phenomenon for businesses. Currently the reference used by academics and practitioners in the diagnosis of quality still used the hierarchy reference from three countries, namely (1) United States, through its approach to Total Quality Management (TQM), (2) European countries, through the approach of the International Standard of Organization (ISO), and (3) The State of Japan, through its Kaizen approach. For practitioners of Business Management Indonesia, in-depth review of three approaches these qualities need to be understood in detail, or one by one to indicate that the application of information each of TQM, ISO and Kaizen into a new measuring device that indicates a specific study in the procession of the fulfillment of the quality of the results of operations a business. The three approach to quality indicate that they have the same goals, but provide a different implementation of operational system. For those approaches to stay relevant, parties can sort out the best approach in implementing the operational quality of the company. In this case, "quality management" is the responsibility of the company. Since in principle, "bad quality comes from bad management" and consumers are always looking into qualified products (goods & services).
