Violation of a Bell inequality in particle physics experimentally verified?
Relevant aspects for testing Bell inequalities with entangled meson-antimeson
systems are analyzed. In particular, we argue that the result of A. Go, J. Mod.
Optics 51, 991 (2004), which nicely illustrate the quantum entanglement of
B-meson pairs, cannot be considered as a Bell-test refuting local realism.Comment: 9 page
Sequential vector and axial-vector meson exchange and chiral loops in radiative phi decay
We study the radiative decay into and taking into account mechanisms in which there are two sequential
vector-vector-pseudoscalar or axial-vector--vector--pseudoscalar steps followed
by the coupling of a vector meson to the photon, considering the final state
interaction of the two mesons. There are other mechanisms in which two kaons
are produced through the same sequential mechanisms or from decay into
two kaons and then undergo final state interaction leading to the final pair of
pions or , this latter mechanism being the leading one. The results
of the parameter free theory, together with the theoretical uncertainties, are
compared with the latest experimental results of KLOE at Frascati.Comment: 28 pages, 20 figure
Una algarada andalusina a la Costa Brava, l'any 935
Some years ago we studied the toponyms that appear in the chronicle of the historian from Cordova Ibn Hayyân. He describes a Muslim attack to the Christian shores in the
summer of 935. The caliphal fleet punished the village of Salses and then continued towards the south to Empúries and several places in the Baix Empordà and Barcelona’s
surroundings. At one point on the coast so far undetermined, the attackers were divided and lighter ships followed the Ter River and devastated the plain of Girona. Thanks to a Christian document of 1063, we identify the toponym that appears as «Qâlat Marwân
», and we also demonstrate that corresponds to the future town of Palamós. This identification allows advancing the first mention of this population and to correct with new items the etymology proposed by Coromines and others
Mixing of eta-eta' Mesons in J/psi Decays into a Vector and a Pseudoscalar Meson
The octet-singlet mixing angle in the pseudoscalar meson nonet is
deduced from the rich set of accurate data on decays into a vector and
a pseudoscalar meson. Corrections due to non-ideal - mixing have
been included for the first time and turn out to be crucial to find degrees, which is appreciably less negative than previous
results coming from similar analyses.Comment: 9 pages, LaTeX, full postscript file available via anonymous ftp at

The Mixing Angle Revisited
The value of the mixing angle is phenomenologically
deduced from a rather exhaustive and up-to-date analysis of data including
strong decays of tensor and higher-spin mesons, electromagnetic decays of
vector and pseudoscalar mesons, decays into a vector and a
pseudoscalar meson, and other transitions. A value of between
and is consistent with all the present experimental
evidence and the average seems to be
favoured.Comment: 17 pages, LaTeX. 2 references added, some comments on Chiral

Bohr's complementarity relation and the violation of the CP symmetry in high energy physics
We test Bohr's complementary relation, which captures the most
counterintuitive difference of a classical and a quantum world, for single and
bipartite neutral kaons. They present a system that is naturally interfering,
oscillating and decaying. Moreover, kaons break the CP symmetry (C...charge
conjugation, P...parity). In detail we discuss the effect of the CP violation
on Bohr's relation, i.e. the effect on the "particle-like" information and the
"wave-like" information. Further we show that the quantity that complements the
single partite information for bipartite kaons is indeed concurrence, a measure
of entanglement, strengthening our concept of entanglement. We find that the
defined entanglement measure is independent of CP violation while it has been
shown that nonlocality is sensitive to CP violation.Comment: 8 pages, 2 figure
