One-rank interaction kernel of the two-nucleon system for medium and high energies

A new version of the separable kernel of the nucleon-nucleon interaction in the Bethe-Salpeter approach is presented. The phase shifts are fitted to recent experimental data for singlet and uncoupled triplet partial waves of the neutron-proton scattering with total angular momenta J=0,1. The results are compared with other model calculations.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, 3 table

Start to End Beam Dynamic Simulations for Femto Science Factory Feasibility Study

    Get PDF
Design studies for a future multi turn ERL based light source at HZB are being investigated. The Femto Science Factory will provide its users with ultra bright photons of angstrom wavelength at 6 GeV. The FSF is intended to be a multi user facility and offer a wide variety of operation modes. A low emittance 0.1 mrad mode will operate in conjunction with a short pulse 10 fs mode. This paper reports on the first results of the start to end beam dynamic simulations for both modes. Higher order geometric and chromatic aberration terms have been suppressed using both multipole magnets and biased off crest acceleration. The influence of the collective effects coherent synchrotron radiation on the transversal emittance is minimised by adjusting the horizontal phase advanc

Cardio-and Neuroprotective Effects of Corvitin and 2-Oxoglutarate in Rats with Pituitrin-Isoproterenol-Induced Myocardial Damage

Heart diseases, especially acute coronary syndrome (ACS), are among the most severe illnesses that often lead to death. Despitesignificant advances in the prevention and treatment of ACS, the incidence of the disease and its complications are very serious. +eimbalance between pro- and antioxidant systems, the formation of active carbonyl compounds, and the end products of glycation inthe blood and tissues are the key moments in the development of heart and neurological disorders leading to a change of behavioralresponses. So, the search for antioxidants with cardio- and neuroprotective effects is an urgent task. +is study was aimed atevaluating the effects of Corvitin and 2-oxoglutarate on physiological parameters, heart histology, and markers of carbonyl/oxidativestress of rats with pituitrin-isoproterenol-induced myocardial damage (PIMD). Increased sweating, tachycardia, significantly decreasedlocomotor and exploratory activity, changes of ECG, heart histology, and biochemical changes were observed in the PIMDgroup.+e administration of Corvitin or 2-OG led to the recovery of locomotor and cognitive activities of the rats, improvement inheart histology, a decrease in the levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, advanced glycated end products, and variouschanges in the activity of the antioxidant enzymes, 6 days after PIMD. So, Corvitin and exogenous 2-OG show cardio- andneuroprotective effects through the decrease of carbonyl/oxidative stress and regulation of the activity of the antioxidant system

Features of cholinergic cardia regulation under conditions of hypokinesia

The features of cholinergic processes in the heart on the 4th, 8th, 16th and 30th days of hypokinesia were studied in experiments on 382 albino rats. It was shown that hypokinesia is attended by increased acetylcholine content in the atria, reduced choline acetyltransferase activity in the atria and ventricles and by increased activity of acetylcholinesterase in the ventricles and of pseudocholinesterase in both parts of the heart. The sensitivity of the heart to exogenic acetylcholine and to stimulation of the vagus nerve increases

Quantum phase slips in superconducting Nb nanowire networks deposited on self-assembled Si templates

Robust porous silicon substrates were employed for generating interconnected networks of superconducting ultrathin Nb nanowires. Scanning electron microscopy analysis was performed to investigate the morphology of the samples, which constitute of polycrystalline single wires with grain size of about 10 nm. The samples exhibit nonzero resistance over a broad temperature range below the critical temperature, fingerprint of phase slippage processes. The transport data are satisfactory reproduced by models describing both thermal and quantum fluctuations of the superconducting order parameter in thin homogeneous superconducting wires.Comment: accepted for publication on Applied Physics Letter

Beneficiation of chrome slurry tailings at Donskoy mining and beneficiation plant (DMBP) JSC to produce hard pellets

    Get PDF
The article is about the problem of beneficiation of finely dispersed chromium slurry tailings of “Donskoy Mining and Beneficiation Plant” JSC by chemical and gravitation methods. Chemical destruction of chromium spinelids by sulphation with a mixture of ammonium sulphate and sulphuric acid enables to transfer a part of magnesium oxide to a water-soluble state and further gravitation beneficiation on concentration tables to obtain a fine-grained rich chromium concentrate. Silica, calcium, and iron oxide additives are used to produce pellets from the fine chrome concentrate, serving as binding agents and enabling the production of hard chrome pellets during roasting. In the future, roasted pellets will be used in the smelting of high-carbon ferrochrome in electric furnaces
