Development of Cave Tourism in the Domica Area in Slovakia
The purpose of the study. The main goal of the study is to determine the most effective solutions
for the development of cave tourism and medical tourism, as well as the standard of living and
infrastructure of the region, based on the used literature and the questionnaire research on
tourism development.
Applied methods. The study starts with information about the natural and geological heritage
found in the Domica region in Slovakia. It continues with the discovery, construction and
characterization of the most significant caves from a tourist and economic point of view.
Following the professional characterization, the questionnaire research developed and evaluated
in the last stage of the study analyzes the possibility of the development of cave tourism and
health tourism in the immediate vicinity of the Domica Cave based on the opinions, remarks
and experiences of the service providers in the area.
Outcomes. Caves are called natural underground cavities that have formed as a result of
geomorphological and geophysical processes under different natural conditions. The caves in
the karst are dissolved or are created by the weathering of the bedrock, while after the leakage
of gases, caves form as cavities in the volcanic rocks. Few countries have as many different
underground karst formations as Slovakia, with 7,014 known caves, of which only 18 can be
visited. Discovering these underground wonders is a new challenge for hikers. Interest in caves
peaked in the 20th century, when the desire to return to nature and improve the health of
patients with respiratory diseases (speleotherapy) became the leading motivation. Today, caves
are most often used for recreation. Nevertheless, within geotourism a popular way to explore
caves is caving and the associated extreme or less extreme sports that only came to the fore in
the 21st century.
The results of the research of this study are sufficient evidence that the region is suitable for the
development of cave tourism and medical tourism, for which the most obvious solution is to
create an international geopark
How many species of whipworms do we share? Whipworms from man and other primates form two phylogenetic lineages
The whipworms, i.e. parasitic nematodes of the genus Trichuris Roederer, 1761, infect a variety of mammals. Apparently
low diversity of primate-infecting species of Trichuris strongly contrasts with the high number of species described in other mammalian
hosts. The present study addresses the diversity of whipworms in captive and free-ranging primates and humans by analysing nuclear
(18S rRNA, ITS2) and mitochondrial (cox1) DNA. Phylogenetic analyses revealed that primate whipworms form two independent
lineages: (i) the Trichuris trichiura (Linnaeus, 1771) clade comprised of genetically almost identical whipworms from human and other
primates, which suggests the ability of T. trichiura to infect a broader range of primates; (ii) a clade containing primarily Trichuris suis
Schrank, 1788, where isolates from human and various primates formed a sister group to isolates from pigs; the former isolates thus
may represent of more species of Trichuris in primates including humans. The analysis of cox1 has shown the polyphyly of the genera
Trichuris and Capillaria, Zeder, 1800. High sequence similarity of the T. trichiura isolates from humans and other primates suggests
their zoonotic potential, although the extent of transmission between human and other non‐human primates remains questionable and
requires further stud

Aspects of GDPR implementation in the Czech Republic public administration
Práce kritickým pohledem shrnuje problematiku GDPR , zhodnotí její dosavadní vývoj a stav a zaměříse na její dopady na veřejnou správu. Práce by měla objasnit, jaký vliv měla implementace GDPR na informační systémy ve veřejné správě, na chod orgánů veřejné správy i na rozpočty dotčených subjektůThis thesis critically summarizes the issue of GDPR, evaluates its current development and
status and focuses on its impact on public administration. The thesis should clarify the impact
of the implementation of GDPR on information systems in public administration, on the
operation of public administration bodies and on the budgets of the entities concerned.Fakulta ekonomicko-správníStudentka seznámila komisi s výsledky své diplomové práce na téma: Aspekty zavedení GDPR ve veřejné správě ČR.

Non-invasive methods for sex and steroid homones determination in gibbons of the genus Nomascus
The gibbon primates of the family Nomascus are classified as critically endangered species, and, to date, basic understanding and information about their biology is missing. With regard to the status of these animals in the wild and captive populations in zoos, being familiar with their reproduction, may improve captive breeding programs. Data collection in this study was to be carried out by the practical use of non-invasive methods (polymerase chain reaction for DNA extraction and enzyme immunoassays), using faecal samples for analysis. The first method, polymerase chain reaction, was used for sex determination in juveniles, because of their coat colour and visual similarity of secondary sex characteristic in both sexes; it is not possible to determinate sex without handling the animal. Another main purpose of this study is to try and answer the hypothesis regarding the ovarian cycle of females, factors influencing their hormone concentration and also the onset of sexual maturity in females and the timing of their fur colour change. Hypotheses were checked by monitoring the concentration of progesterone and oestrogen faecal metabolites and by evaluation of the composition of breeding groups of gibbons with the ZOO influence. During a four year period (from 2010 till 2014), there were a total of 51 animals analysed from 16 different zoos with a faecal sample count totalling 1618 samples. The results confirmed the use of noninvasive methods for sex determination, and thus ensuring the maximum welfare standards. Endocrinological analysis confirmed the hypothesis of the influence of the environment (ZOO) to the hormone concentrations and female´s pregnancy effect in conjunction with her age on the final results of the male - father hormone concentrations. The initial information in this study is the confirmation of the onset of ovarian cycle in young females without connection to their fur colour change and a significant factor of a mother´s impact and her territoriality. This study is the first to present a long term monitoring of ovarian cycles in females and hormone concentrations of other individuals, both male and female, and from various age groups. The results allow us to understand the possible impact of zoo environments on the reproductive status of these gibbons and contribute to the general improvement of breeding management
Using Place of Facility as an Instrument in Social Service
The topic of this bachelor thesis is how to use place and its aspects in social work. Author chose youth centre as a specific social service and describes its goals and means in first chapter. Second chapter describes needs and weaknesses of the children and youngsters who come to youth centre. Third chapter is dedicated to place and its aspects and how these apects of place influence human experience and behaviour. Author explored the way how social workers use place and equipment of the youth centre during their work with clients in the rest of the thesis. This research took place in three youth centres in Prague. The bachelor thesis ends with summary of possible ways how to use place of the centre and its aspects in order to fulfill goals of this social service and needs of its clients.
