The religious phenomenon of Juche ideology as a political tool

This study aims to determine the motive that led to the establishment of Juche by Kim Il Sung amidst the influence of communism and its transformation into religion in North Korea. North Korea is a communist country dictated by Kim Jong-Un of the Kim dynasty and known for its cruelty. The country underwent several changes from Marxism-Leninism to familism to determine its strength in Juche. This ideology that acts as a religion was influenced and strengthened Kim Jong Il to Kim Jong-Un and built by shifting the concept of marxism-Leninism to construct a new understanding of Juche. It will be demonstrated that this ideology was influenced by Confucianism, Christianity, Nationalism, Chinese Communism, and Russian Communism. In the modern era, imperialism was used as an ideological tool to restrict backwardness. This theory allegedly helped Kim Il-Sung establish a unitary, one-person rule over North Korea. ‘It will be examined whether Juche ideology is a tool the state has used to convince people of their government. Pronouncements, an intentional religion in which the people were to believe that their Ruler (Kim Il Sung) was a supreme human or an ideology that morphed into a religion’. It will be demonstrated that, when they started honoring Kim as their god, no other religion was permitted. Contribution: This research offers readers an understanding of the value of humanity in the binding ideology of Juche. However, the Juche Ideology can serve as a missiological bridge towards mission goals, which require the experience of spiritual, physical, and social liberation

IMPLEMENTASI HUKUM DAN KALIMAT HUKUM DALAM PENDIDIKAN KRISTEN

ABSTRACT   God never inherited religion to mankind, but God gave His laws to mankind to obey and do them in everyday life. God's laws are designed to bring blessings to humans. God's law determines attitudes that produce peace, order, security, respect, courtesy and welfare for humanity. So, God's laws are the laws of human life. The law in the Bible consists of commands and prohibitions. God gave the law to His people Israel through Moses which is 10 laws of God or Decalogue. In addition, there are still hundreds of other regulations and orders governing the moral, spiritual, and social life of God's people (Israel) and then these laws were perfected by Christ for the salvation and spiritual life of humans. Understanding the laws in the Bible certainly cannot be separated from the understanding of legal language as a medium of delivery as what is ordered and desired by God. Referring to this, the clarity of meaning and method in legal language plays a very important role. Clarity of meaning conveyed will have an effect in understanding the accuracy of the purpose of the law which is not interpreted in any other sense. Program Tutorial Mata Kuliah Etika Kristen sebagai Pembentukan Konsep Diri Mahasiswa

Dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai institusi pendidikan, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) tentu dituntut untuk mendidik para mahasiswa agar para mahasiswa dapat menjadi manusia yang utuh, berilmu, cerdas, tangguh, dan berkarakter. Upaya untuk membangun manusia yang tangguh dan berkarakter ini sejalan dengan nilai-nilai kekristenan yang seharusnya dipahami oleh para mahasiswa. Untuk mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai kristiani bagi para mahasiswa, Unit Pelayanan Kerohanian dan Konseling (UPKK) UKI melalui mata kuliah Etika Kristen membuat program tutorial etika kristen yang bertujuan agar mahasiswa mengenali konsep diri dan memahami tujuan hidup yang bermakna sehingga menjadi manusia yang tangguh dan berkarakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai kristiani. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui program tutorial etika Kristen dapat bermanfaat dan diterima oleh para mahasiswa Berdasarkan hasil analisis bahwa rancangan program tutorial mata kuliah Etika Kristen ini terstruktur dengan baik sehingga berdampak positif bagi para mahasiswa. Program tutorial mata kuliah Etika Kristen di UKI diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa baru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif
