    ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF LOAD UNBALANCED ON NEUTRAL CURRENT IN FISHING VESSEL ELECTRIC GENERATOR CASE STUDY AT KM. PULAU PINANG

    Many studies have been conducted on load imbalance in 3-phase electrical installations, but research on the effects of unbalanced electrical loads on 3-phase electrical installations in fishing vessel generators has not been carried out. This study aims to determine the percentage value of load imbalance in the 3-phase electrical installations of KM fishing vessels in Pulau Pinang and observe its effect on the emergence of electric current in the neutral conductor cable in the electrical installation. The Indonesian Classification Bureau (BKI) in Volume IV rules for 2019 and 2022 regarding Electrical Installation on Ships requires that, under normal operating conditions, the percentage value of load imbalance in each phase must not exceed 15%. The research was conducted in three stages: March, April, and June 2021. From the study results, it was found that the average percentage value for load imbalance in KM Pulau Pinang on March 12, was 15.73% with an average electric current value of 8 Amperes in the neutral conductor. On April 7, the average percentage of unbalanced load sharing was 23.42% with an average neutral current of 12.26 Amperes. On June 19, the average percentage of unbalanced load sharing was 16.02% with an average neutral current of 6.11 Amperes.This research can provide new information regarding the study of load sharing imbalance and electric current in 3-phase electrical installations on fishing vessels. It can also serve as an evaluation for ship owners in reducing power losses due to the emergence of electric currents in the neutral conductor

Dimana, Kebutuhan daya beban listrik yang berhubungan dengan kapasitas dari Generator harus memiliki nilai efisiensi dari 78% atau sampai dengan 100%. Bertujuan agar tidak terjadi kerugian secara ekonomis. Serta peninjauan kecepatan putaran mesin penggerak Generator yang harus sesuai.  Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dalam Perhitungan nilai efisiensi penggunaan Generator dan Putaran mesin penggerak Generator. Selanjutnya, menentukan Evaluasi nilai efisiensi penggunaan Generator  di KM. Pulau Pinang. Peninjauan langsung di lapangan dengan cara pengukuran nilai tegangan, daya, dan arus listrik di KM. Pulau Pinang hal ini merupakan metode penelitian. Nilai daya tertinggi pada Motor pompa. Pemakaian daya listrik secara keseluruhan permasing masing unit nilai tertinggi terdapat pada lampu Halogen. Nilai teganagan 3 fasa dan arus listrik nilai rata rata terendah dan tertinggi adalah 310,33 Volt 11,33 A dan 316,33 Volt 23,47 A, dan kecepatan putaran mesin penggerak Generator yaitu 1.121,5 rpm.  Selanjutnya, Nilai efisiensi daya aktif terhitung adalah 42,142%, di rekomendasikan kapasitas Generator 30 kVA. Rpm pengoperasian mesin listrik  di simpulkan lebih kecil dari rpm spesifikasi mesin penggerak generator. Dengan catatan rpm mesin penggerak generator tidak melebihi spesifikasi rpm generator (2.800 rpm ≤ 1.500 rpm

    ANALYSIS OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN APPARENT POWER AND CURRENT LOADING ON VOLTAGE AND CURRENT IMBALANCE IN KM. SUMBER MANDIRI ELECTRIC GENERATOR

    Numerous studies have been conducted on voltage and current imbalance in three-phase electrical installations, but there has been no research specifically analyzing the correlation between voltage and current imbalances in the electric generators of fishing vessels. This study aims to investigate and analyze potential relationships among four key variables within this research context: apparent power, generator loading percentage, voltage imbalance, and current imbalance aboard KM. Sumber Mandiri.The research findings reveal the Pearson correlation coefficient value indicating the average generator loading percentage's correlation with the average current imbalance to be only 2.47%. Additionally, the average apparent power's Pearson correlation coefficient with the average current imbalance on the KM. Sumber Mandiri generator between November 17, 2022, and November 26, 2022, is calculated to be 0.29%. Moreover, the average generator loading percentage's Pearson correlation coefficient with the average voltage imbalance stands at 27.58%, while the average apparent power's Pearson correlation coefficient with the average voltage imbalance is at 40.91%. The fluctuations in current imbalance in relation to the variation in voltage imbalance on the KM. Sumber Mandiri generator show an impact of 14.03%, while the remaining 85.97% is attributed to other factors. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide valuable insights into the understanding of factors influencing voltage and current imbalance from a statistical perspective.     Efficiency value is a measure that can inform us that a machine that operates can be said to be efficient or not. This study aims to find the efficiency value of the electric generator on the fishing vessel KM. Maradona. In addition, this study also aims to find the average percentage value of electric current on each phase of the generator and also to find the average value of the percentage imbalance of load sharing in three-phase electrical installations in KM. Maradona. From the calculation, it is found that the percentage of imbalance of three-phase electrical installations KM. Maradona when the generator operates can reach 31.11%. From the calculation, it is also found that the average percentage load on the electric generator of KM. Maradona maximum value is 22.35% with an average current value of 25.50 Ampere.     Energi listrik saat ini telah menjelma menjadi kebutuhan pokok bagi para penggunanya. Dalam suatu kapal penangkap ikan, energi listrik selain dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan navigasi juga dibutuhkan sebagai alat bantu dalam proses penangkapan ikan dimana dalam proses  penangkapan ikan tersebut menggunakan lampu sorot atau flood light untuk memancing kehadiran ikan tangkapan mendekati kapal. Pada umumnya system instalasi listrik tiga phasa dapat dikatakan baik bila system pembagian beban pada system tersebut seimbang. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mencari nilai presentase ketidakseimbangan arus listrik pada instalasi listrik tiga phasa pada kapal penangkap ikan KM. Sumber Rezeki. Selain itu penelitian ini juga memiliki tujuan untuk mencari nilai rata-rata presentase pembebanan arus listrik pada setiap phasa pada generator tersebut dan juga mencari nilai efisiensi generator pada KM. Sumber Rezeki. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa presentase ketidakseimbangan instalasi listrik tiga phasa KM. Sumber Rezeki pada saat generator beroperasi maksimal berada pada angka 6,5%. Dari hasil perhitungan juga didapatkan bahwa rata-rata presentase pembebanan pada generator listrik KM. Maradona adalah senilai 68,6% dengan nilai arus rata-rata sebesar 68 Ampere. Berbanding lurus dengan nilai arus rata-rata, nilai daya semu rata-rata KM. Sumber Rezeki berada pada angka 45,5 kVA dengan rata-rata nilai efisiensi generator sebesar 70,06%

    The source of electrical energy is one of the main components in everyday life. The development of technology today requires all people to be able to take advantage of renewable energy, one of which is solar energy. The solar panel is an energy conversion machine that can produce electrical energy. Coastal communities have an abundance of solar energy sources that can be utilized by solar panels as alternative electrical energy in the aquaponics system that has been built. The majority of the people of Tanjung Palas Village, Dumai City, are fishermen. So that there is a need for additional economic income besides being a fisherman. On the other hand, the community still does not understand the operation and maintenance of solar panels due to knowledge problems. Therefore education and the installation of solar panels as a source of aquaponic electricity are alternative solutions offered to the community. The educational activity of solar panels as a source of aquaponic electricity is carried out in collaboration with CSR PT Pertamina RU II Dumai with the Dumai Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic. The result of this activity is that the level of understanding of participants from per category always increases. The knowledge category increased from 39% of participants to 93% of participants, the operating category increased from 14% of participants to 94% and the care category increased from 14% of participants to 95% of participants. In addition, the level of satisfaction of the participants shows that 25% of participants are very satisfied and 75% of participants are satisfied with this activity. Recommendations for the results of activities that have been carried out are that there is a need for follow-up activities so that the community can better utilize solar panels as alternative electrical energy

    Fisheries products from marine sector really need to be considered because Indonesia, especially in the waters of Dumai City, has abundant fish resources of up to 571 tons/year. Diversification of processed fish is a solution so that processed fish can be consumed by the community. On the other hand, the local community of Pelintung Village, Dumai City, still lacks appropriate technology that can improve the quality of processed products from diversification. Some processed fish products are of poor quality. Community service activities aim to provide knowledge transfer and use of oil draining machines so that people can improve the quality of processed fish or non-fish. This community service activity uses the method of applying the use of an oil draining machine in Pelintung Village. The essence of this event is the delivery of theoretical and practical material about oil draining machines. The pre-test was carried out before the material was delivered and the post-test was carried out after the material was delivered. Filling in the satisfaction index is done along with filling out the post-test. The results of this activity stated that the community was very enthusiastic as the percentage of correct answers for the pre-test and post-test increased. The results of the pre-test and post-test in the knowledge, operation and maintenance categories increased to 75%, 84% and 100%, respectively. The satisfaction level of participants was also stated to be satisfied with the percentage of 61.7% and getting benefits from this community service activity. This activity must continue to be evaluated so that when holding similar activities, it can be more effective, efficient and sustainable.     ANALISA PERPINDAHAN PANAS HEAT EXCHANGER MESIN INDUK (STUDI KASUS: KM. SUMBER MUTIARA)

    Heat exchanger (HE) is a component of the main engine cooling system that plays a very important role in the process of changing the fluid temperature by exchanging the amount of heat with other fluids. The use of HE in the main engine cooling system should be considered in controlling after operation. HE performance can be analyzed using heat transfer analysis in the form of heat absorbed by HE (Q), LMTD and heat transfer coefficient (U). This study aims to analyze heat transfer in the form of calculations of absorbed heat, LMTD and heat transfer coefficient on the main engine HE KM Sumber Mutiara. This study measures the temperatures of fresh water and sea water entering and leaving the HE. In addition, measurement of water discharge and determination of the dimensions of the HE used for the main engine cooling system of KM Sumber Mutiara. This research shows that the highest heat value absorbed by HE (Q) is at RPM 1200 at 44.85 kJ/s, for the LMTD value at RPM 1000 at 45.69 oC and for the U value at RPM 1100 at 824 W/m2. oC. HE main engine KM Sumber Mutiara has not maximized its performance due to the fouling factor from sea water.
