Search for lepton-flavour-violating decays of Higgs-like bosons.
A search is presented for a Higgs-like boson with mass in the range 45 to 195 GeV/c2 decaying into a muon and a tau lepton. The dataset consists of proton-proton interactions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV , collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb-1 . The tau leptons are reconstructed in both leptonic and hadronic decay channels. An upper limit on the production cross-section multiplied by the branching fraction at 95% confidence level is set and ranges from 22 pb for a boson mass of 45 GeV/c2 to 4 pb for a mass of 195 GeV/c2
Design and Production of Detector Modules for the LHCb Silicon Tracker
The LHCb Silicon Tracker will cover a sensitive surface of about 12 m^2 with silicon micro-strip detectors. The production of detector modules is currently coming close to its conclusion. In this paper, the design of the detector modules, the main module production steps, and the module quality assurance programme are described. Selected results from the quality assurance are shown and first lessons are drawn from the experience gained during module production. Search for the rare decay D0→μ+μ-
A search for the rare decay D →μ μ is performed using a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.9fb , of pp collisions collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV by the LHCb experiment. The observed number of events is consistent with the background expectations and corresponds to an upper limit of B(D0→μ+μ-)<6.2(7.6)×10-9 at 90% (95%) confidence level. This result represents an improvement of more than a factor twenty with respect to previous measurements. © 2013 CERN. 0 + - -

Search for Bc+ decays to two charm mesons
A search for decays of B c + mesons to two charm mesons is performed for the first time using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb −1 , collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The decays considered are B c + →D (s) (⁎)+ D‾ (⁎)0 and B c + →D (s) (⁎)+ D (⁎)0 , which are normalised to high-yield B + →D (s) + D‾ 0 decays. No evidence for a signal is found and limits are set on twelve B c + decay modes

Measurements of CP asymmetries in charmless four-body Λb0 and Ξb0 decays
Abstract: A search for CP violation in charmless four-body decays of Λb0 and Ξb0 baryons with a proton and three charged mesons in the final state is performed. To cancel out production and detection charge-asymmetry effects, the search is carried out by measuring the difference between the CP asymmetries in a charmless decay and in a decay with an intermediate charmed baryon with the same particles in the final state. The data sample used was recorded in 2011 and 2012 with the LHCb detector and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3fb-1. A total of 18 CP asymmetries are considered, either accounting for the full phase space of the decays or exploring specific regions of the decay kinematics. No significant CP-violation effect is observed in any of the measurements

Measurement of CP observables in the process B <sup>0</sup> → DK <sup>*0</sup> with two- and four-body D decays

Updated measurement of time-dependent CP -violating observables in Bs0→J/ψ<sup>K+</sup><sup>K-</sup> decays
The decay-time-dependent asymmetry in
decays is measured using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an
integrated luminosity of , collected with the LHCb
detector at a centre-of-mass energy of in 2015 and 2016.
Using a sample of approximately 117\,000 signal decays with an invariant mass in the vicinity of the resonance, the -violating
phase is measured, along with the difference in decay widths of the
light and heavy mass eigenstates of the - system,
. The difference of the average and meson
decay widths, , is determined using in addition a sample of
decays. The values obtained are , and , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the
second systematic. These are the most precise single measurements of these
quantities to date and are consistent with expectations based on the Standard
Model and with a previous LHCb analysis of this decay using data recorded at
centre-of-mass energies 7 and 8 TeV. Finally, the results are combined with
recent results from decays obtained using
the same dataset as this analysis, and with previous independent LHCb results

Observation of the Λb0→χc1 (3872) pK<sup>−</sup> decay
Using proton-proton collision data, collected with the LHCb detector and
corresponding to 1.0, 2.0 and 1.9fb of integrated luminosity at the
centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, respectively, the decay
with is
observed for the first time. The significance of the observed signal is in
excess of seven standard deviations. It is found that of the
decays proceed via the two-body intermediate state
. The~branching fraction with respect to that of
the decay mode, where the
~meson is reconstructed in the final state, is

First Measurement of the Charge Asymmetry in Beauty-Quark Pair Production
The difference in the angular distributions between beauty quarks and antiquarks, referred to as the charge asymmetry, is measured for the first time in b (b) over bar pair production at a hadron collider. The data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) collected at 7 TeV center-of-mass energy in proton-proton collisions with the LHCb detector. The measurement is performed in three regions of the invariant mass of the b (b) over bar system. The results obtained are A(C)(b (b) over bar) (40 10(5) GeV/c(2)) = 1.6 +/- 1.7 +/- 0.6%,where A(C)(b (b) over bar) is defined as the asymmetry in the difference in rapidity between jets formed from the beauty quark and antiquark, where in each case the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The beauty jets are required to satisfy 2 20 GeV, and have an opening angle in the transverse plane Delta phi > 2.6 rad. These measurements are consistent with the predictions of the standard model
