Is It Time to Get Radical? A Game Theoritic analysis of Asian Crisis and Capital Control

Policymakers in modern and open economies face a macroeconomic trilemma (Obstfeld, Shambaugh, and Taylor 2005). There are three main sought-after objectives: 1. to stabilize the exchange rate; 2. to enjoy free international capital mobility 3. to engage in a monetary policy oriented toward domestic goals. Three main questions that we try to answer are : How the crisis exacerbated by international investor racing to pull out their capital from affected coutnries? Can capital control reduce it? Can capital control reduce contagion effect and regional financial instability? Using game theoritical framework and insight from behavioral economics, we analyzed herd behaviour of international investors in the time of financial crisis. Under free international capital mobility, uncertainty and lack of coordination among investors with short-horizon, we found prisoner dilemma type of arrangement that exacerbated financial crisis. Applying the anylisis to multi-stage game with government, we found that a credible threat of capital control could reduce herd behaviour and escape the worst of financial crisis. Therefore, fredom to employ capital control is a policy tool that enable escape from the trilemma and pursue all three goals at the same time. We modify the framework to include multiple countries under financial crisis and fear of contagion. We found the ability to impose capital control, under certain conditions, will isolate the crisis and reduce contagion effect. We also explore the critical value when capital control should be enacted with regard to domestic economic condition, on which government political mandate base upon, and differences of reactions in relation to political regime. We conclude by citing incidences of insistance toward comitment against capital control by IMF in loans approcal and US in free trade agreement as misdirected, unncessesary and even harmful in some cases.Asiena crisis; game theory; capital control

HUBUNGAN STATUS GIZI TERHADAP HIPERTENSI PADA LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS KAMPUNG DALAM PONTIANAK

ABSTRACT Background: Hypertension, known as “the silent killer”, has varied symptoms and almost the same symptoms as other medical conditions. Hypertension is caused by various factors, one of them is nutritional status. Objective: This research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between elderly nutritional status and hypertension in Community Health Center of Kampung Dalam Pontianak. Method: This is a quantitative research with observational analytic and observational cross-section design. The total sample of this research is 135 samples selected with consecutive sampling technique. The instruments of this research are BMI questionnaire and measurement tools which are mercury sphygmomanometer and weigh scale. Result: Hypothesis testing using Gamma test shows that there is no significant difference (p = 0,807). Conclusion: There is no relationship between the elderly nutritional status and hypertension in Community Health Center of Kampung Dalam Pontianak. Further research is needed to see factors that affect hypertension on elderly in Health Community of Kampung Dalam Pontianak .Key Word               : Nutritional Status, Hypertension, elderly, Community Health Center

Etika Auditor Sebagai Variabel Moderasi pada Pengaruh Kompetensi, Independensi dan Moral Reasoning Terhadap Kualitas Audit

The research aims to empirically test the competency, independence and moral reasoning of auditors on audit quality with auditor ethics as a moderating variable at the Representative BPKP of maluku province. The sample in this study were all auditors who worked at the Maluku Province Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency, totaling 60 auditors using a questionnaires survey method and measured using a likert scale. The number of questionnaires distributed was 60 questionnaires, and 56 questionnaires were returned. The results of this research show that partially, competency, independence, and moral reasoning have a positive effect on audit quality. Tests using Moderated Repression Analysis (MRA) show that auditor ethics are able to moderate the relationship between competence, independence and moral reasoning and audit quality

PENGARUH METODE PROSES SINTESIS ANALOG KURKUMIN ASIMETRIS TERHADAP EFEK HEPATOPROTEKTIF MENCIT (Mus musculus L.)

Effect of Synthesis Process Method of Asymmetric Curcumin Analog on the Hepatoprotective Effect of Mice (Mus musculus L.) Asymmetric curcumin analogs (ACA) can be synthesized from cullilawan oil. ACA products can be synthesized using conventional methods and microwaves. Synthesis methods can affect physical properties and pharmacological effects. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the process method on the hepatoprotective ability of ACA and to determine the effective dose. ACA products were tested in vivo in mice (Mus musculus L.) with CCl4-induced liver damage. The parameters observed were biochemical liver enzymes (AST and ALT) and histological analysis. The results showed that animals treated with ACA-k products had better weight gain, lower AST and ALT levels, and fewer histological signs of liver damage at higher ACA doses than those observed in animals that were untreated or treated with ACA-m products. Thus, asymmetric curcumin analog products that were processed by conventional method were more hepatoprotective. Produk AKAS dapat disintesis menggunakan metode konvensional dan microwave. Metode sintesis dapat mempengaruhi sifat fisik dan efek farmakologis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode proses pada kemampuan hepatoprotektif AKAS dan untuk menentukan dosis efektif. Produk AKAS diuji in vivo pada mencit (Mus musculus L.) dengan kerusakan hati yang diinduksi CCl­4. Parameter yang diamati adalah biokimia enzim hati (AST dan ALT) dan analisis histologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hewan yang diobati dengan produk AKAS-k memiliki kenaikan berat badan yang lebih baik, tingkat AST dan ALT yang lebih rendah, dan lebih sedikit tanda histologis kerusakan hati pada dosis AKAS yang lebih tinggi daripada yang terlihat pada hewan yang tidak diperlakukan atau diobati dengan produk AKAS-m. Kodifikasi dan Efektivitas Kebijakan Fiskal untuk Menurunkan Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca pada Industri Semen, Baja dan Pulp

Industrial activity is known as one of the major contributors of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Sources of GHG emissions from the industrial sector include energy inputinput, the inputinput of non-energy, industrial processes and industrial waste. Thus, the industrial sector, listed as one of the important sectors in the National Action Plan (NAP) Reduction of GHG emissions. Implementation of mitigation actions in the industrial sector clearly requires appropriate regulatory framework. The right combination of policy and fiscal instruments needed to encourage industry players become actively involved in the national effort to reduce GHG emissions in Indonesia. The problem, the need for coordination regulations related efforts to reduce GHG emissions in the industrial sector of each Ministry / Institutions (K / L) are associated in particular Ministry of Finance Regulation (PMK and the Regulation of the Minister of Industry (Permenindustri). For that study was conducted using the framework regulatory analysis for the creation of regulatory coordination between the PMK and Permenindustri. PERANCANGAN SISTEM APLIKASI CUSTOMER CARE PENANGANAN KELUHAN ELEKTRONIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS LAYANAN PADA RUMAH SAKIT MUTIARA BUNDA PADANG

Institusi Rumah sakit merupakan salah satu instalasi kesehatan terbesar akan berupaya melakukan pengukuran dan evaluasi mutu pelayanan kesehatan sesuai dengan indikator mutu dalam rangka mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan secara berkesinambungan sesuai indikator nasional mutu kementerian kesehatan. Diantara indikator tersebut adalah kecepatan waktu tanggapan keluhan dan kepuasan pasien, apabila tidak ditangani dan dikelola dengan baik akan berdampak buruk pada kualitas rumah sakit. Unit kerja Customer care yang melakukan penanganan keluhan pada Rumah Sakit Mutiara Bunda Padang masih secara manual melalui surat, kertas yang dimasukkan ke box keluhan, dan ada beberapa keluhan disampaikan melalui media instagram dan whatsapp. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun aplikasi customer care penanganan keluhan elektronik untuk membantu pihak rumah sakit dalam mengelola keluhan pelanggan, meneruskan keluhan kepada unit yang terkait dan monitoring proses tindaklanjut yang dilakukan. aplikasi ini akan membentuk sebuah kerangka kerja pengelolaan keluhan elektronik yang sudah ditindaklanjuti dan belum ditindaklanjuti serta laporan keluhan pelanggan berdasarkan indikator unit waktu tertentu serta tingkat risiko dan dampak risiko dengan penetapan level keluhan berupa warna merah (ekstrim), kuning (tinggi), hijau (rendah), dan dibuktikan dengan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan telah berhasil membangun aplikasi customer care penanganan keluhan elektronik membantu rumah sakit dalam mengelola keluhan pelanggan yang dapat dimplementasikan dalam infratruktur jaingan komputer yang telah ada. Metode  pengujian aplikasi menggunakan black box menunjukkan fungsi modul-modul aplikasi dapat berjalan dengan lancar
