The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of service quality, perceived value, brand trust and customer satisfaction on brand loyalty in the Algerian services sector. After a short literature review, we conduct an empirical study using the questionnaire survey method to verify the hypotheses. Data are obtained from 200 consumers who bought and used OOREDOO mobile phones service provider. The data are, then, analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results demonstrate that service quality has a direct effect on customers’ satisfaction, while the perceived value has an indirect effect on customers’ satisfaction via brand trust. Furthermore, customers’ satisfaction had direct effects on brand loyalty. The research, then, confirms the pivotal role of perceived service quality and perceived value in brand loyalty development and stresses the mediation effect of brand trust on the effects of perceived value on the path to brand loyalty. Synthesis of an electric sensor based control for underwater multi-agents navigation in a file

International audienceThanks to an electro-sensible skin, some species of fish can feel the surrounding electric field generated by them-self or other fish. Known under the name of "electric-sense", this ability allows these fish to navigate in confined surroundings. Based on a bio-inspired electric sensor, this article presents how this electric sense can be used for the navigation in formation of several underwater vehicles. The formation considered is a file, each vehicle is assumed to follow its predecessor at a given distance. In confined environment, the file formation is interesting since fish can follow the same safe path. Being based on the servoing of the electric measurements, these laws do not require the knowledge of the location of the agents. The underwater vehicle studied have non holonomic properties, their forward velocity has no lateral component. Depending on the choice of the controlled outputs (combination of electric measures) we will see that path followed by the follower agents can be different and a methodology to choose the output will be defined in order that all the agents follow the leader path in presence of curved motion of the leader. The influence of the number of electrodes is discussed. Simulation results illustrate the proposed approach

Hydrolysis study: Synthesis of novel styrenic Schiff bases derived from benzothiazole

    Get PDF
AbstractNovel styrenic Schiff base derivatives of benzothiazole are synthesized. The condensation of 4-vinylbenzaldehyde 1 with either benzothiazol-2-amine or 4-methoxy-benzothiazol-2-amine leads to a mixture of two isomers. From 4-methyl-benzothiazol-2-amine and 6-fluoro-benzothiazol-2-amine, the N-(4-vinylbenzylidene)-4-methyl-benzothiazol-2-amine 8 and N-(4-vinylbenzylidene)-6-fluoro-benzothiazol-2-amine 9 are isolated, respectively. The structures of the synthesized Schiff bases are confirmed through a combination of various spectroscopic techniques including IR, UV, 1H and 13C NMR. A kinetic study of the hydrolysis process of derivatives 6 and 9 in buffered aqueous medium at pH 4.4, 7.4 and 8.5 is conducted by UV spectroscopy. It is shown that the hydrolysis of these compounds is a first order reaction showing an increasing rate as the medium acidity is enhanced

Measuring the Effect of Healthcare Service Quality Dimensions on Patient’s Satisfaction in The Algerian Private Sector

    Get PDF
There is a gap in marketing literature related to impact of service quality dimensions on perceived service quality and patient satisfaction, in the private healthcare industry. The healthcare system is responsible for improving the general population’s health in a country. To differentiate from competitors, the quality of service is mainly considered a critical success factor for hospitals (Azmit et al., 2017). Therefore, competition is essential for improving quality and patient satisfaction in healthcare institutions (Kitapci et al., 2014). This article aims to determine the relationship between health service quality dimensions and patient satisfaction in the healthcare sector. Specifically, the paper seeks to find out the most critical dimensions of service quality, which is used to evaluate the characteristics of private healthcare service quality as perceived by patients. A field study was carried out on a sample of 208 patients in Tlemcen city in Algeria. The questionnaire developed for this study was based on a SERVQUAL model specifically, based on Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry, (1985) variables that identified the influence of five dimensions (i.e., reliability, tangibility, assurance, responsibility, and empathy) in healthcare service environments on patient satisfaction. The results have found after the application of structural equation modelling that: reliability, tangibility, assurance, responsibility was more significant in contributing to patient satisfaction, while empathy was not significant. This indicates that patients tend to have a positive perception about the health service if they consider the perceived quality of the health service to be credible, reliable, tangible, and responsive, even though they may feel that the health provider does not empathize with them. Hence, healthcare industry practitioners can consider this model as an instrument to assess healthcare and help improve their service quality. Therefore, service provider managers can use this instrument to assess private hospital service quality in Algeria and other African countries
