La sustentabilidad empresarial en las mypymes. Un estudio empírico

Dicho modelo representa una nueva forma de medición de los aspectos relativos a la Responsabilidad social empresaria, ya que se tratan de evaluar el desempeño empresarial por medio de cinco variables: Gestión Global, Competitividad, Relaciones, Impactos y Comunicación. El estudio empírico se efectuó a una muestra de micropymes del departamento san Justo Provincia de Córdoba, a efectos de identificar cuál es su situación frente a la sustentabilidad empresarial. El modelo pentadimensional de sostenibilidad aplicado a las empresas del departamento San Justo de la provincia de Córdoba, Argentina

La contribución al desarrollo sostenible no es un compromiso que solo se limita a gobiernos u organizaciones de países desarrollados o a grandes compañías multinacionales, es responsabilidad de todos y cada uno de los integrantes de la sociedad, razón por la cual nos propusimos en este libro presentar la situación de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas de la región de América Latina y el Caribe en términos de sostenibilidad corporativa. Los resultados aquí expuestos representan las prácticas de 1.500 empresas de ocho países de la región, entre los que se encuentran Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Perú, Puerto Rico y Trinidad y Tobago, las cuales fueron analizadas bajo la perspectiva de un modelo de gestión de sostenibilidad corporativa denominado "Modelo Pentadimensional de Sostenibilidad Empresarial", creado por el Egade Business School del Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey y probado ampliamente. Esta investigación hace parte de las estrategias de generación de conocimiento y desarrollo de capacidades de uno de los grupos de trabajo de la Iniciativa Principios de Educación Responsable en Gestión (PRME) del Pacto Global de las Naciones Unidas, que contó con la colaboración de un experimentado y comprometido grupo de diez universidades de América Latina y el Caribe.The contribution to sustainable development is not a commitment that is only limited to governments or organizations of developed countries or large multinational companies, it is the responsibility of each and every one of the members of society, which is why we set out in this book to present the situation of micro, small and medium enterprises in the Latin American and Caribbean region in terms of corporate sustainability. The results presented here represent the practices of 1,500 companies from eight countries in the region, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and Trinidad and Tobago, which were analyzed from the perspective of a corporate sustainability management model called "Five-Dimensional Model of Business Sustainability", created by the Egade Business School of the Technological Institute of Monterrey and extensively tested. This research is part of the knowledge generation and capacity development strategies of one of the working groups of the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) Initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, which had the collaboration of an experienced and committed group of ten universities from Latin America and the Caribbean

Accurate vapor pressure measurements of supercooled water in the temperature range between 252 K and 273 K

The accurate knowledge of the saturation vapor pressure of liquid water and ice has a great importance in a host of applications where humidity measurements are involved since it enables the correct conversion among different physical quantities that quantify the water vapor amount of a humid gas mixture. More specifically, accurate saturation vapor pressure measurements of supercooled water are strongly required in meteorology and atmospheric sciences, especially in cloud microphysics studies. Considering the importance of this kind of measurements and the limited availability of experimental data in the literature, further measurements in the metastable region were carried out at the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM). The sample cell used in the experiment is a U-shaped capillary tube made of borosilicate glass, whose temperature is kept constant by immersion in a thermostatic bath with a high temperature stability (about 1 mK). The cell is connected to a capacitive diaphragm pressure gauge measuring the equilibrium water vapor pressure, that varies between about 116 Pa at T = 252.25 K and 615 Pa at T = 273.25 K. In the present work, the measuring method and the experimental setup are described and the measurements results reported. The results obtained in the whole temperature range are compared with those available in the literature and with the commonly adopted saturation vapor pressure formulations. A complete uncertainty budget is also given, resulting in an expanded relative uncertainty ranging from 0.06% at 273.25 K to 0.20% at 252.25 K

Estudio de competitividad de las PYMES exportadoras de la región de Villa María, Argentina

This paper addresses the problematic of competitiveness of exporting SMES in the region of Villa Maria (Argentina). A comparison with its Iberoamerican peers is undertaken by using the methodology provided by FAEDPYME (Foundation for strategic analysis and development of small and medium enterprises), in order to make comparable the research results. The purpose is to determine competitiveness of our companies compared with the rest of Iberoamerica.En el presente trabajo, se aborda la problemática de competitividad de las PYMES exportadoras de la región de Villa María. Se realiza un comparativo con sus pares iberoamericanas, a partir de la metodología suministrada por la FAEDPYME (Fundación para el Análisis Estratégico y Desarrollo de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa), a efectos de hacer comparables los resultados. Se busca determinar el nivel de competitividad de nuestras empresas en comparación con las del resto de Iberoamérica.
