СИММЕТРИРУЮЩИЙ ТРАНСФОРМАТОР ТЯГОВОГО ЭЛЕКТРОСНАБЖЕНИЯ
The author analyzes application of balancing transformers for traction power supply at the electrified railways of JSC Russian Railways, lists positive effects of their operation in AC networks especially under the high voltage of 94 KV at Oktiabrskaya railway. The author formulates the conclusions and some suggestions concerning operation of balancing transformers, assesses possibilities of such units for the possible use during reconstruction and modernization of AC traction substations, taking into account the requirements for increased labor and electric safety.Анализ применения симметрирующих трансформаторов для тягового электроснабжения. Дается перечень положительных эффектов их использовании в сетях переменного тока, особенно при повышенном уровне напряжения 94 кВ на примере Октябрьской железной дороги. Сформулированы выводы и предложения о пользе симметрирующих трансформаторов, оцениваются возможности агрегатов таких типов при реконструкции и модернизации тяговых подстанций переменного тока, на которых должны с высокой обязательностью соблюдаться требования по охране труда и электробезопасности.

The authors assert that the monetary and financial policy of Russia is based on the liberal model of marketeconomy and undoubtedly attached to the principlesof liberalism. According to the results of the research presented in the article the weakening of the nationalcurrency rate in Russia is caused by the activity offinancial illicit dealers and lack of leading capacity ofthe Central Bank of Russian Federation. Monetaryrestrictions as a tool of the economy management inthe countries members of Eurasian Economic Treaty are described in the article. This article is devoted to the modern market model of the Russian Federation which is a classic example of the development of capitalism based on political economy. Periodization of the development of Russian capitalism, based on the analysis of macroeconomic indicators of the Russian Federation is considered. Laws of capitalist production in the history of the Russian capitalism are shown. Measurement of Inverse Pion Photoproduction at Energies Spanning the N(1440) Resonance
Differential cross sections for the process pi^- p -> gamma n have been
measured at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Alternating Gradient Synchrotron
with the Crystal Ball multiphoton spectrometer. Measurements were made at 18
pion momenta from 238 to 748 MeV/c, corresponding to E_gamma for the inverse
reaction from 285 to 769 MeV. The data have been used to evaluate the gamma n
multipoles in the vicinity of the N(1440) resonance. We compare our data and
multipoles to previous determinations. A new three-parameter SAID fit yields 36
+/- 7 (GeV)^-1/2 X 10^-3 for the A^n_1/2 amplitude of the P_11.Comment: 14 pages, 8 figures, submitted to PR
Determination of the Dalitz plot parameter alpha for the decay eta->3pi^0 with the Crystal Ball at MAMI-B
A precise measurement of the Dalitz plot parameter, alpha, for the eta->3pi^0
decay is presented. The experiment was performed with the Crystal Ball and TAPS
large acceptance photon detectors at the tagged photon beam facility of the
MAMI-B electron accelerator in Mainz. High statistics of 1.8*10^6 eta->3pi^0
events were obtained, giving the result alpha = -0.032 +/- 0.002(stat) +/-

Neutron skin of Pb from Coherent Pion Photoproduction
Information on the size and shape of the neutron skin on Pb has been
extracted from coherent pion photoproduction cross sections measured using the
Crystal Ball together with the Glasgow tagger at the MAMI electron beam
facility. On exploitation of an interpolated fit of a theoretical model to the
measured cross sections the half-height radius and diffuseness of the neutron
distribution are found to be 6.70 fm and 0.55 fm respectively, corresponding to a neutron
skin thickness =0.15 fm.
The results give the first successful extraction of a neutron skin with an
electromagnetic probe and indicate the skin of Pb has a halo character.
The measurement provides valuable new constraints on both the structure of
nuclei and the equation of state for neutron-rich matter.Comment: 4 figures 5 pages. Version submitted to journal. Includes additional
