Given the high indicators of various reported investigations with regard to stress and teacher illness, and acknowledging the official indicators that position the teaching profession as a profession of risk to the mental health, the present investigation assumes the objectives to investigate into the perceptions of the current state of the educational climate, and into the elements constituting obstacles of the same in changes times. Methodologically the investigation, at the phase which is described in this article, possesses a qualitative-quantitative design, with the use of 'natural semantic networks' in 189 subjects of establishments of several educational institutions from Temuco (Chile). Among the results we found that teachers and directors preponderantly relate the educational climate with interpersonal relations in the center, while students relate it exclusively to the learning contexts. Subsequently we found revealing findings between those obstacles of the educational climate, where an institutional level of the actors showed an evidence of greater semantic weight of the communication problems and the leadership style. Also, they recognized elements such as envy, intolerance, selfishness, rumors, irresponsibility, as obstacles of the person itself, elements related as much to the person of the teacher as well as the professional role. This evidences that when the educational climate is intervened these two dimensions must be addressed, without forgetting other aspects linked to the tension areas, especially the characteristics of the dynamic relationship among colleagues.

Mars and the ESA Science Programme - the case for Mars polar science

Current plans within the European Space Agency (ESA) for the future investigation of Mars (after the ExoMars programme) are centred around participation in the Mars Sample Return (MSR) programme led by NASA. This programme is housed within the Human and Robotic Exploration (HRE) Directorate of ESA. This White Paper, in response to the Voyage 2050 call, focuses on the important scientific objectives for the investigation of Mars outside the present HRE planning. The achievement of these objectives by Science Directorate missions is entirely consistent with ESA’s Science Programme. We illustrate this with a theme centred around the study of the Martian polar caps and the investigation of recent (Amazonian) climate change produced by known oscillations in Mars’ orbital parameters. Deciphering the record of climate contained within the polar caps would allow us to learn about the climatic evolution of another planet over the past few to hundreds of millions of years, and also addresses the more general goal of investigating volatile-related dynamic processes in the Solar System

Climate Change & Tourism Literature Review

Climate change and global warming have become hot topics of research over the past decade. Tourism is intimately a part of the climate change issue. The purpose of this literature review was to identify and understand where, how much, and what type of topics related to climate change and tourism currently exist in the literature

Influence of Congruity in Store-Attribute Dimensions and Self-Image on Purchase Intentions in Online Stores of Multichannel Retailers

Online stores of multichannel retailers continue to lag pure internet retailers with reference to consumers\u27 shopping intentions and sales. This study develops and tests a framework in which (a) trust and attitude (conceptualized as a second-order construct with hedonic and utilitarian dimensions) influence purchase intentions, (b) congruity between the multichannel retailer\u27s land-based and online stores (conceptualized as a second-order constructs made up of seven dimensions: aesthetic appeal, navigation convenience, transaction convenience, atmosphere, service, price orientation, and security) influences trust in and attitude toward the online store, and (c) congruity between consumers\u27 self-image and perceived image of the online store influences trust in and attitude toward the online store. The findings provide robust support for the framework and have strong implications for theory and practice

Generation of two-photon EPR and Wstates

In this paper we present a scheme for generation of two-photon EPR and W states in the cavity QED context. The scheme requires only one three-level Rydberg atom and two or three cavities. The atom is sent to interact with cavities previously prepared in vacuum states, via two-photon process. An appropriate choice of the interaction times one obtains the mentioned state with maximized fidelities. These specific times and the values of success probability and fidelity are discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
