The dipole representation of vector meson electroproduction beyond leading twist

We link the recent computation beyond leading twist of the impact factor of the transition gamma*T -> rhoT performed in the light-cone collinear approach, to the dipole picture by expressing the hard part of the process through its Fourier transform in coordinate space. We show that in the Wandzura-Wilczek approximation the impact factor up to twist 3 factorises in the wave function of the photon combined with the distribution amplitudes of the rho-meson and the colour dipole scattering amplitude with the t-channel gluons. We show also that beyond the Wandzura-Wilczek approximation, the hard contribution of the amplitude still exhibits the signature of the interaction of a single colour dipole with the t-channel gluons. This result allows a phenomenological approach of the helicity amplitudes of the leptoproduction of vector meson, by combining our results to a dipole/target scattering amplitude model.Comment: 63 pages, 18 figure

NLO Corrections to the kernel of the BKP-equations

We present results for the NLO kernel of the BKP equations for composite states of three reggeized gluons in the Odderon channel, both in QCD and in N=4 SYM. The NLO kernel consists of the NLO BFKL kernel in the color octet representation and the connected 333\to3 kernel, computed in the tree approximation.Comment: 28 pages, 7 figure

Wess-Zumino model with exact supersymmetry on the lattice

A lattice formulation of the four dimensional Wess-Zumino model that uses Ginsparg-Wilson fermions and keeps exact supersymmetry is presented. The supersymmetry transformation that leaves invariant the action at finite lattice spacing is determined by performing an iterative procedure in the coupling constant. The closure of the algebra, generated by this transformation is also showed.Comment: 13 pages. Few references added. New appendix on Ward identity added. Version to be published in JHE

The Small-x Behaviour of the Singlet Polarized Structure Function g_2 in the Double Logarithmic Approximation

    Get PDF
The small-x behavior of the singlet contributions to the polarized structure function g_2(x,Q^2) is calculated in the double-logarithmic approximation of perturbative QCD. The dominant contribution is due to the gluons which, in contrast to the unpolarized case, mix with the fermions also in the small-x domain. We find a power-like growth in 1/x in the odd-signature parts of the amplitude with the same power as in the singlet function g_1(x,Q^2) at x<< 1.Comment: 20 pages, latex, 3 ps figure

Regulierung der Krautfäule(Phytophthora infestans) mit reduzierten Kupfer-Aufwandmengen im Kartoffelanbau

Four field experiments were conducted in 2004 to analyse the efficacy of reduced rates of copper fungicides against Phytophthora infestans (3 x organic and 1 x conventional growing). Copper (Cu-hydroxide, Cu-oxychloride or Cu-octanoate) was sprayed in a weekly routine or according to the decision support system SIMPHYT with total dosages ranging from 0.57 kg/ha to 4.0 kg/ha. The results revealed in almost all treatments a significant reduction of late blight, except for the lowest rates (e.g. 4 x 0.14 kg/ha Cu as Cu-octanoate or 6 x 0.15 kg/ha Cu as Cu-hydroxide). There was a clear dose-response relation between increasing rates of copper and control of late blight in each experiment. Marketable yields varied from 132 dt/ha to 238 dt/ha in organic field trials depending on trial site and copper treatment. Generally, an effect of copper treatment and late blight on yield could be shown. Even a slight reduction of P. infestans increased yield by 10 % to 20 %. The influence of copper dosage on late blight was more obvious than influence of copper spraying on yield. A dropleg spraying system (copper application within the crop canopy) which was tested on one trial site did not improve blight control compared to conventional application

Inclusive production of a pair of hadrons separated by a large interval of rapidity in proton collisions

We consider within QCD collinear factorization the inclusive process p+ph1+h2+Xp+p\to h_1+h_2+X, where the pair of identified hadrons, h1,h2h_1,h_2, having large transverse momenta is produced in high-energy proton-proton collisions. In particular, we concentrate on the kinematics where the two identified hadrons in the final state are separated by a large interval of rapidity Δy\Delta y. In this case the (calculable) hard part of the reaction receives large higher order corrections αsnΔyn\sim \alpha^n_s \Delta y^n. We provide a theoretical input for the resummation of such contributions with next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy (NLA) in the BFKL approach. Specifically, we calculate in NLA the vertex (impact-factor) for the inclusive production of the identified hadron. This process has much in common with the widely discussed Mueller-Navelet jets production and can be also used to access the BFKL dynamics at proton colliders. Another application of the obtained identified-hadron vertex could be the NLA BFKL description of inclusive forward hadron production in DIS.Comment: 29 pages, 9 figures; corrected few typos and added an acknowledgment; version to be published on JHEP. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1202.108

Exclusive diffractive processes at HERA within the dipole picture

    Get PDF
We present a simultaneous analysis, within an impact parameter dependent saturated dipole model, of exclusive diffractive vector meson (J/psi, phi and rho) production, deeply virtual Compton scattering and the total gamma* p cross section data measured at HERA. Various cross sections measured as a function of the kinematic variables Q^2, W and t are well described, with little sensitivity to the details of the vector meson wave functions. We determine the properties of the gluon density in the proton in both longitudinal and transverse dimensions, including the impact parameter dependent saturation scale. The overall success of the description indicates universality of the emerging gluon distribution and proton shape.Comment: 48 pages, 28 figures, the final version to appear in Physical Review

Gluon density and F2F_{2} functions from BK equation with impact parameter dependence

In this note we fix the preliminary results obtained in the study of gluon density function of the paper \cite{bom3}. The LO BK equation for unintegrated gluon density with impact parameter dependence is considered in order to fix the parameters of the proposed model. In particular the form of initial condition for the equations of proton-proton scattering from \cite{bom3} is determined, which is similar to the form of fenomenological GBW ansatz. The gluon density function and F2F_{2} function are also calculated and compared with the results for the gluon density and F2F_{2} functions from the GRV parameterization for different values of Q2Q^2. It is shown, that the results for F2F_2 structure function of the considered model are in the good accordance with the results obtained from the GRV parameterization of parton densities.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure

A Lattice Formulation of Super Yang-Mills Theories with Exact Supersymmetry

We construct super Yang-Mills theories with extended supersymmetry on hypercubic lattices of various dimensions keeping one or two supercharges exactly. Gauge fields are represented by ordinary unitary link variables, and the exact supercharges are nilpotent up to gauge transformations. Among the models, we show that the desired continuum theories are obtained without any fine tuning of parameters for the cases N=2,4,8{\cal N}=2, 4, 8 in two-dimensions.Comment: 29 pages, 1 figure, LaTeX, (v2) problem on degenerate vacua discussed, renormalization arguments modified, (v3) explanations and references added, published version in JHE
