    Development of the inquiry competence in natural sciences

    1 recurso en l铆nea (p谩ginas 27-41).El presente art铆culo surge del ejercicio de la reflexi贸n basada en el desarrollo de la competencia de indagaci贸n en Ciencias Naturales. Es as铆 como se da origen a la creaci贸n de un instrumento llamado gu铆a, que direcciona el paso a paso el desarrollo de la competencia de indagaci贸n en estudiantes de secundaria de grado noveno de la Instituci贸n Educativa Polit茅cnico Alvaro Gonz谩lez Santana (IEAGS) de Sogamoso, Boyac谩. El colectivo investigador establece los siguientes pasos: observaci贸n de fen贸menos, planteamiento del problema, formulaci贸n de preguntas, formulaci贸n de hip贸tesis y predicciones, b煤squeda y registro de informaci贸n, planteamiento de experimentos e identificaci贸n de variables, realizaci贸n de mediciones y organizaci贸n de resultados. A prop贸sito de lo anterior, se toman como referencia los par谩metros evaluados en la competencia de indagaci贸n por el Instituto Colombiano para el Fomento de la Educaci贸n Superior (ICFES), todo lo anterior, fundamentado en Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas (ABP). As铆 pues, el ABP desarrolla progresivamente cada una de las habilidades necesarias para el desarrollo de la competencia indagaci贸n y, adem谩s, contribuye en la formaci贸n del estudiante incrementando el trabajo colaborativo, la responsabilidad y la autoformaci贸n.This article arises from the exercise of reflection based on the development of the competence of inquiry in Natural Sciences. This is the origin of the creation of an instrument called a guide, which directs, step by step, the development of inquiry skills in ninth-grade secondary students at the 脕lvaro Gonz谩lez Santana Polytechnic Institution in Sogamoso, Boyac谩 (IEAGS). The research collective establishes the following steps: observation of phenomena, posing of the problem, formulation of questions, formulation of hypotheses and predictions, search and recording of information, presentation of experiments and identification of variables, measurement and organization of results. With regard to the above, the parameters evaluated in the inquiry competence by the Colombian Institute for the Promotion of Higher Education (ICFES) are taken as reference, all the above, based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). Thus, the PBL progressively develops each of the skills necessary for the development of the inquiry competence and, in addition, contributes to the student鈥檚 training by increasing collaborative work, responsibility and self-training.Bibliograf铆a y webgraf铆a: p谩ginas 40-41
