This article aimed to investigate the almost sure convergence theorem of widely negative orthant dependent (WNOD) random variables under sub-linear expectation space. The conclusions in this essay are an extension of the corresponding conclusions in the classical probability space

Dynamic Extra Buses Scheduling Strategy in Public Transport

    Get PDF
This paper presents a dynamic extra buses scheduling strategy to improve the transit service of transit routes. In this strategy, in order to decide when to dispatch an extra bus, the service reliability of transit route is assessed firstly. A model aimed at maximizing the benefit of the extra buses scheduling strategy is constructed to determine how many stops extra buses need to skip from the terminal to accommodate passengers at the following stops. A heuristic algorithm is defined and implemented to estimate the service reliability of transit route and to optimize the initial stop of extra buses scheduling strategy. Finally, the strategy is tested on two examples: a simple and a real-life transit route in the Dalian city in China. The results show that the extra buses scheduling strategy based on terminal stops with a reasonable threshold can save 8.01% waiting time of passengers

A Hybrid Model Based on Support Vector Machine for Bus Travel-Time Prediction

    Get PDF
Effective bus travel time prediction is essential in transit operation system. An improved support vector machine (SVM) is applied in this paper to predict bus travel time and then the efficiency of the improved SVM is checked. The improved SVM is the combination of traditional SVM, Grubbs’ test method and an adaptive algorithm for bus travel-time prediction. Since error data exists in the collected data, Grubbs’ test method is used for removing outliers from input data before applying the traditional SVM model. Besides, to decrease the influence of the historical data in different stages on the forecast result of the traditional SVM, an adaptive algorithm is adopted to dynamically decrease the forecast error. Finally, the proposed approach is tested with the data of No. 232 bus route in Shenyang. The results show that the improved SVM has good prediction accuracy and practicality

Content: With the development of China sports, researches related to sports leather should be paid attention because they usually required higher strength than commonly used leather. In this paper, we focus on the production of gymnastics leather. In gymnastics, the athlete's hand will have high intensity contact with the balance bar, so the gymnastics leather is required to have high intensity performance. At the same time, in order to comply with the ornamental function, gymnastics leather is required to be light color. In this research, glutaraldehyde was used as the main tanning agent, while acrylic polymer and synthetic were used for retanning, in order to obtain high strength, environmentally friendly white gym leather. The shrinkage temperature and mechanical properties of tanned leather were determined and analyzed to determine the suitable tanning agent. Besides, other properties including softness, gas permeability, water permeability, flexing resistance and yellowing-resistance were also measured for selecting proper production process. Therefore, gymnastics leather with ideal performance can be prepared by this method, and the leather conforms to the practical application standard. In addition, the research has guiding significance and application prospect for high strength chrome-free tanned leather. Take-Away: Aldehyde tanning agents and retanning agents, which can be used for gymnastics leather making, were evaluated and selected to achieve ideal effect of finish leather. This research is meaningful to produce not only gymnastics leather but also other sporty leather which require high strength

Bifurcation Analysis of a Chemostat Model of Plasmid-Bearing and Plasmid-Free Competition with Pulsed Input

A chemostat model of plasmid-bearing and plasmid-free competition with pulsed input is proposed. The invasion threshold of the plasmid-bearing and plasmid-free organisms is obtained according to the stability of the boundary periodic solution. By use of standard techniques of bifurcation theory, the periodic oscillations in substrate, plasmid-bearing, and plasmid-free organisms are shown when some conditions are satisfied. Our results can be applied to control bioreactor aimed at producing commercial producers through genetically altered organisms

To investigate the diversity of butane-oxidizing bacteria in soils contaminated by long-term light hydrocarbon microseepage and the influence of butane on the soil microbial community, a quantitative study and identification of butane-oxidizing bacteria (BOB) in soils at the Puguang gas field were performed by DNA-based stable isotope probing (DNA-SIP). For the first time, two phylotypes corresponding to the genera Giesbergeria and Ramlibacter were identified as being directly involved in butane oxidation, in addition to the well-known light hydrocarbon degrader Pseudomonas. Furthermore, bmoX genes were strongly labeled by 13C-butane, and their abundances in gas field soils increased by 43.14-, 17.39-, 21.74-, and 30.14-fold when incubated with butane for 6, 9, 12, and 14 days, respectively, indicating that these bmoX-harboring bacteria could use butane as the sole carbon and energy source and they play an important role in butane degradation. We also found that the addition of butane rapidly shaped the bacterial community and reduced the diversity of bmoX genes in the gas field soils. These findings improve our understanding of BOB in the gas field environment and reveal the potential for their applications in petroleum exploration and bioremediation

Abstract JI2-41 well is a directional development well located on Yunshuzhuang block structure in Dongtai Depression on SuBei basin of the SuBei oilfield. JI2-41 well is a normal development well which with the longest isolation section of SuBei oilfield. The design depth is 3481m,but actual depth is 3455m.The well is cemented with Ø139.7mm casing and the casing length is 3450m,required cement slurry return height more than 2500m.Because of this well reservoir section long, span large leads to there are many water layers between oil layers, borehole like a gourd, these factors which brought a lots problem to cementing. Author analysis the difficulty of cementing and advise to use three cement slurry system technology. It received cementing 93.1% with high quality when this technology applied on site operation. It solved the problem of cementing in SuBei oilfield

125I Radiotherapy combined with metronomic chemotherapy may boost the abscopal effect, leading to complete regression of liver metastasis in an SCLC patient with a 58.5-month OS: a case report

The liver is the most common and lethal metastatic site in patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), and median survival with current standard treatment is only 9–10 months from diagnosis. Clinical observations show that a complete response (CR) is extremely rare in ES-SCLC patients with liver metastasis. Moreover, to the best of our knowledge, complete regression of liver metastasis induced by the abscopal effect, boosted primarily by permanent radioactive iodine-125 seeds implantation (PRISI), combined with a low-dose metronomic temozolomide (TMZ) regimen, has not been recorded. Here, we present the case of a 54-year-old male patient who developed multiple liver metastases from ES-SCLC after multiple lines of chemotherapy. The patient was given partial PRISI therapy (two out of six tumor lesions; 38 iodine-125 seeds in one dorsal lesion and 26 seeds in one ventral lesion), which was combined with TMZ metronomic chemotherapy (50 mg/m2/day, days 1–21, every 28 days). The abscopal effect was observed for 1 month after PRISI treatment. After about 1 year, all the liver metastases had completely disappeared, and the patient experienced no relapse. The patient eventually died of malnutrition caused by a non-tumor intestinal obstruction and had an overall survival of 58.5 months after diagnosis. PRISI combined with TMZ metronomic chemotherapy might be considered a potential therapy to trigger the abscopal effect in patients with liver metastases
