IMPEACHMENT PERSPEKTIF KETATANEGARAAN INDONESIA DAN KETATANEGARAAN ISLAM

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
This is a cross secti onal co mparison study to assess executive function and attention span in euthymic p atients with bipolar 1 disorder. It compares the performance of these two cogn itive domains in 40 patients with bipolar 1 disorder to that of 40 healthy normal subjects using Trail Maki ng (TMT), Digit Span (Forward and Backward) and Ver bal Fluency (VF) tests. The association between demographic, clinical characteristics and performance in all tests were examined. Patients wit h bipola r illness showed significant impairment with moderate to large e ffect siz es (VF= 0.67, TMT A= 0.52, TMT B = 0.81, Digit Forward= 0.97, Digit ba ckward= 1.10) in all tasks of executive and atte ntion functioning. These impairments a re observed in the absence of active mood symptoms while duration and severity of illness are not found to have an e ffect on both cognitive domains. Medications received by patients with bipolar disorder have significant association with performance on executive tasks. The results of this study add on to the existing global evidence of cognitive impair ment in bipolar illness despite its cross cultural differences. Its presenc e in the absence of mania, depression or mixed episode indicates that cognitive impairmen t is stable even af ter symptoms recovery

Potential application of LDPE plastic waste into tiles

    Get PDF
Plastic has interesting characteristics which makes it the most used material in the world. However, plastic is known to be a non-biodegradable material which unable to naturally decompost in soil and thus contribute to environmental issue. As alternative, plastic waste has been recycled to produce quality and sustainable construction materials as the source is abundant. Thus, this study is carried out to utilize plastic waste particularly low density polyethylene (LDPE) and with sand in manufacturing tiles in two different sand and plastic waste ratios of 2:1 and 2:2. The tiles manufactured were further analyzed for their water absorption and compressive strength. It was found that the tiles made of mixture ratio of 2:2 have higher compressive strength and lower weight compared to that of 2:1 ratio. The average weight of tiles for 2:1 ratio was 891.59 g, while ratio 2:2 produced tiles with weight of 1319.5 g. Tiles manufactured from the plastic waste also showed better water absorption and compressive strength compared to normal cement tiles

Fabrication of high-quality electrode films for solid oxide fuel cell by screen printing: A review on important processing parameters

    Get PDF
Summary Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is known as the most efficient fuel cell, with an efficiency of 60% in converting fuel to electricity and up to 80% in fuel to energy conversion (including heat). A SOFC consists of three primary components, namely, anode, electrolyte and cathode. Given the demand for reducing the operating temperature below 800 C, not only thin electrolytes have become a necessity for their ability to reduce ohmic losses but also high-quality porous electrode (anode and cathode) films for their ability to accelerate electrochemical reactions with fuels. In this context, screen printing is known for its capability to form high-quality porous electrode films in a cost-effective manner. In addition, screen printing offers fabrication-related parameters that can be easily manipulated to produce different film qualities depending on the requirements which have been explored in various applications. However, screen printing is only utilised in SOFC application as a fabrication tool to produce electrode films, neglecting the effects of its fabrication-related parameters on electrode performance, as indicated by the limited number of related works. Despite limited resources, this study aims to review the fabrication-related parameters in producing SOFC electrodes through screen printing and their effects on electrochemical performance. The parameters at different stages (ie, prior, during and post printing), including ink formation, printing numbers and sintering, are extensively reviewed. To the best of our knowledge, this study is not only the first review that discusses the effects of screen-printing fabrication-related parameters on electrode potentials but also offers suggestions on future directions regarding these parameters towards the improvement of SOFC performance. Novelty Statement Among all thin-film fabrication methods, screen printing is known for its capability to form homogenous-porous SOFC electrode films; however, the processing parameters of screen printing at three primary stages (prior, during, and postprinting) are rarely explored. As such, the current paper highlights important parameters in screen printing, such as ink rheology, printing number, and sintering, to contribute to the understanding of the influence of these parameters on SOFC electrode film quality and their effects on electrochemical performance

    Get PDF
Effects of nutritional and physicochemical factors were investigated for cellulase production by the newly isolated thermophilic strain Bacillus licheniformis 2D55 (Accession No. KT799651). The optimum cellulase production in shake flask fermentation was attained at 60 °C, pH 3.5, 180 rpm, and in a medium containing untreated sugarcane bagasse and pre-treated rice husk at 7% (w/v), urea, 1 g/L, peptone, 11.0 g/L, Mg(SO4)2, 0.40 g/L, CaCl2, 0.03 g/L, Tween 80, 0.2% (w/v), and 3% inoculum. The highest carboxymethyl cellulase (CMCase), filtre paperase (FPase), and β-glucosidase produced under the optimized conditions were 29.4 U/mL, 12.9 U/mL, and 0.06 U/mL, respectively, after 18 h of fermentation. Optimization of the parameters increased the CMCase, FPase, and β-glucosidase activities by 77.4-fold, 44.5-fold, and 10-fold, respectively. The crude enzyme was highly active and stable over broad temperature (50 to 80 °C) and pH (3.5 to 10.0) ranges with optimum temperature at 65 °C and 80 ºC for CMCase and FPase, respectively. The optimum pH for CMCase and FPase was 7.5 and 6.0, respectively. Saccharification of sugar cane bagasse and rice husk by crude cellulase resulted in perspective yields of 0.348 and 0.301 g g-1 dry substrate of reducing sugars. These results suggest prospects of thermostable cellulase from B. licheniformis 2D55 in application for bio-sugar production and other industrial bioprocess applications involving high temperatures

Biocoversion of oil palm empty fruit bunch by Aspergillus niger EB4 under solid-state fermentation

    Get PDF
Oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) is an abundant lignocellulosic waste material generated from the palm oil industry. In this study, a locally isolated strain Aspergillus niger EB4 was cultivated on a pre-treated OPEFB as substrate to produce cellulase in the solid-state fermentation (SSF) process. The cellulase recovered was then subjected to a saccharification process. The strain was grown on the pre-treated OPEFB in a 250 ml Erlenmeyer flask and a 192 L tray cabinet bioreactor, at 80% moisture content and incubated for nine days under a static condition. The activities of the crude cellulase extract in the tray bioreactor were 19.02 ± 0.85, 6.36 ± 0.38 and 4.56 ± 0.26 U/g for β-glucosidase, CMCase and FPase, respectively on day 6 of fermentation. These results were similar to the results obtained from the flask experiment. The results demonstrated the feasibility of solid substrate fermentation of the OPEFB in both flask and tray cabinet bioreactor for the cellulase production. The enzymatic hydrolysis of OPEFB at 5% (w/v) was performed by utilizing the partially purified and crude cellulase incubated at 40°C for seven days. The partially purified cellullases hydrolyzed the pre-treated OPEFB and released 7.7 g/l of reducing sugar which corresponded to a 15% conversion
