Quantitative estimates for the flux of TASEP with dilute site disorder
We prove that the flux function of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion
process (TASEP) with site disorder exhibits a flat segment for sufficiently
dilute disorder. For high dilution, we obtain an accurate description of the
flux. The result is established undera decay assumption of the maximum current
in finite boxes, which is implied in particular by a sufficiently slow power
tail assumption on the disorder distribution near its minimum. To circumvent
the absence of explicit invariant measures, we use an original renormalization
procedure and some ideas inspired by homogenization

Euler hydrodynamics of one-dimensional attractive particle systems
We consider attractive irreducible conservative particle systems on
, without necessarily nearest-neighbor jumps or explicit invariant
measures. We prove that for such systems, the hydrodynamic limit under Euler
time scaling exists and is given by the entropy solution to some scalar
conservation law with Lipschitz-continuous flux. Our approach is a
generalization of Bahadoran et al. [Stochastic Process. Appl. 99 (2002) 1--30],
from which we relax the assumption that the process has explicit invariant

We consider simple exclusion processes on Z for which the underlying random
walk has a finite first moment and a non-zero mean and whose initial
distributions are product measures with different densities to the left and to

INVESTIGATING LOWER LIMB STRENGTH AND STATIC BALANCE IN ELITE GYMNASTS AND WRESTLERS WITH NON- ATHLETES
The purpose of this study was to compare centre of gravity deviance to difference surfaces for adolescent male elite gymnasts and wrestlers with non-athletes. Subjects were asked to maintain balance in four standing postures: standing with open eyes and close eyes, standing with right leg and left leg. Quadriceps muscle and posterior muscle leg strength was collected with a dynamometer. There was difference in static balance in standing one leg (left) in end tasks. There were no significant differences in static balance in other tasks. Posterior muscle leg strength in elite athletes was significantly greater than non- athlete. There was no significant difference in quadriceps muscle. Gymnasts can decrease anterior-posterior and medial-lateral deviance on one leg to use vision feedback and proprioception
Effects of supplemental microbial phytase enzyme on performance and phytate phosphorus digestibility of a corn-wheat-soybean meal diet in broiler chicks
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of supplemental phytase in a corn-wheatsoybean meal basal diet on phosphorus (P) digestibility and performance of broiler chicks. 378 one-day old broiler chicks (Ross 308) were allocated to 3Ă—3 factorial arrangements with three levels of phytase enzyme (0, 500 and 1000 FTU/kg) and three levels of non-phytate P (100, 80 and 60% of NRC requirements). Broiler chicks received experimental diets from 7 to 49 days of age. Phytase significantly (P < 0.05) improved body weight gain and feed intake. Tibial ash and P contents increased significantly by phytase supplementation. Ileal P digestibility increased and P excretion reduced by added phytase. The greatest response due to supplemental phytase regarding P digestibility and utilization was obtained at the lowest dietary non-phytate P (NPP) level (60% of NRC requirements). Difference between various levels of added phytase (500 and 1000 FTU/kg) regarding P excretion and utilization was not significant. The interactions between supplemental phytase and dietary NPP for P utilization, tibial ash and P contents were significant (P < 0.05). The results indicate that, supplemental microbial phytase (500 FTU/kg of diet) added to diet containing NPP lower than NRC requirements (60%) can improve growth performance, tibial ash and phytate P utilization in broiler chickens.Key words: Broiler, phytase, phosphorus digestibility, growth performance, tibia
