Migração internacional de mulheres e o mercado global de cuidados: um estudo sobre filipinas em São Paulo, Brasil

Neste trabalho, abordamos a inserção de mulheres filipinas no mercado de trabalho dos cuidados na cidade de São Paulo, a partir do conceito de “divisão internacional do trabalho reprodutivo” – uma transferência, em três níveis, de trabalho reprodutivo entre mulheres em países de origem e destino da migração - (Parreñas, 2015). Especificamente, buscamos um aprofundamento do tema do trabalho doméstico remunerado realizado por filipinas em São Paulo, fazendo um esforço de inseri-lo no contexto brasileiro e de globalização da força de trabalho feminina para a provisão dos cuidados, a fim de desvelar um pouco das relações sociais constitutivas que condicionam essa migração específica de mulheres nas Filipinas e estruturam o lugar ocupado pela migrante filipina no Brasil. Este trabalho foi realizado por meio de revisão bibliográfica e documental, observação não participante, e entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Primeiramente, foram exploradas autoras e autores que analisam o contexto de origem da migração – as Filipinas –, as conformações do trabalho reprodutivo e o mercado global de cuidados. Além disso, utilizamos dados quantitativos disponibilizados pelo órgãos administrativos filipinos de estatísticas (Philippine Statistics Authority – PSA) e de contratos de trabalho no exterior (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration – POEA). Idas a campo foram feitas em locais de reunião de uma comunidade de migrantes filipinas, onde obtivemos contatos para as entrevistas, pois almejávamos compreender a forma como são agenciados esses processos sociais e os significados atribuídos pelas sujeitas da migração. Por fim, realizamos entrevistas com migrantes filipinas em São Paulo que já tiveram experiência com trabalho doméstico no Brasil. Nossa hipótese de trabalho foi a de que o capital cultural apresentado pelas migrantes filipinas possibilitou tanto a sua mobilidade, como sua inserção laboral nas residências de uma fração da classe média alta paulistana

A Imigração Brasileira Na França: Do Tipo Histórico às Modalidades Migratórias Contemporâneas

The current scenario of intense capital mobility has been accompanied by increasing international population displacements. Social changes experienced in recent decades have introduced greater complexity in the phenomenon of international migration, which takes place under a “new logic”, particularly the expansion of the world market, and the dispersion of industry and the production of goods and services. In this context, this article reflects on Brazilian immigration in France after 1980, considering the different migratory modalities that make up this flow. These modalities are redefining the logic of Brazil’s insertion in the international migration framework. The multifaceted character of emigration of Brazilians to France reveals that, beyond the historical linkages between the two countries, the new logic of migration on the world geopolitical scenario of this century will result in a more diversified flow of Brazilians toward France. Field research conducted in France in 2012 with eighty two Brazilians immigrants showed a diversity of migrants and migratory modalities profiles. Brazilian immigration in Spain: features, singularities and influence of historical ties

The article presents the main features and specifications of recent Brazilian immigration in Spain in relation to some dimensions of their migratory path: the reasons for the choice of migration destination, entry strategies and regulation in the country, the process of adaptation in the host society and the labor insertion in the Spanish context; in addition to describe the socio-demographic profile of the Brazilian population in Spain. The study is based on primary data obtained through in-depth interviews in the society of origin and the destination, as well as statistical data. The research results highlight, among others, relations between the migratory processes of the past and present, between Brazil and Spain.187
