Fractional De Giorgi classes and applications to nonlocal regularity theory
We present some recent results obtained by the author on the regularity of
solutions to nonlocal variational problems. In particular, we review the notion
of fractional De Giorgi class, explain its role in nonlocal regularity theory,
and propose some open questions in the subject.Comment: Short note based on a talk given by the author at a conference held
in Bari on May 29-30, 2017, as part of the INdAM intensive period

A user's guide to optimal transport
This text is an expanded version of the lectures given by the first author in the 2009 CIME summer school of Cetraro. It provides a quick and reasonably account of the classical theory of optimal mass transportation and of its more recent developments, including the metric theory of gradient flows, geometric and functional inequalities related to optimal transportation, the first and second order differential calculus in the Wasserstein space and the synthetic theory of metric measure spaces with Ricci curvature bounded from below

On the Lipschitz character of orthotropic harmonic functions
International audienceWe prove that local weak solutions of the orthotropic p−harmonic equation are locally Lipschitz, for every p ≥ 2 and in every dimension. More generally, the result holds true for more degenerate equations with orthotropic structure, with right-hand sides in suitable Sobolev spaces
On the Hong-Krahn-Szego inequality for the p-Laplace operator
Given an open set , we consider the problem of providing sharp lower bounds for , i.e. its second Dirichlet eigenvalue of the p-Laplace operator. After presenting the nonlinear analogue of the Hong-Krahn-Szego inequality, asserting that the disjoint unions of two equal balls minimize the second eigenvalue among open sets of given measure, we improve this spectral inequality by means of a quantitative stability estimate. The extremal cases p = 1 and p = are considered as well. Copyright 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg
