Jenis dan Distribusi Ukuran Ikan Hasil Tangkap Sampingan (By Catch) Rawai Tuna yang Didaratkan di Pelabuhan Benoa Bali
Catch of Tuna longline has two types, that is target species and by catch product. This research aims to determine the information type of target species and species by catch, calculate the composition of the fish, size of distribution analysis and determine the CPUE (Catch per unit effort) of species by catch and target species. This research is conducted in April-May 2016 following the sampling enumerator activities of Benoa port. The results of the research show that the type of target species Tuna Longline there are Big eye tuna (Thunnus obesus), Yellow fin tuna (Thunnus albacares), Southern bluefin tuna (Thunnus maccoyii) and Albakora (Thunnus allalunga). The types of species by catch Tuna Longline dominates that is Opah (Lampris guttatus), Shark (Prionace glauca) and Escolar (Lepidocybium flavobrunneum). Comparison of the composition target species is 69% and species by catch is 31%. The size distribution of species by catch already most the criteria of decent fish caught. Conditional Standard Error of Measurement: Classical Test Theory, Generalizability Theory and Many-Facet Rasch Measurement with Applications to Writing Assessment
Writing assessments often consist of students responding to multiple prompts, which are judged by more than one rater. To establish the reliability of these assessments, there exist different methods to disentangle variation due to prompts and raters, including classical test theory, Many Facet Rasch Measurement (MFRM), and Generalizability Theory (G-Theory). Each of these methods defines a standard error of measurement (SEM), which is a quantity that summarizes the overall variability of student scores. However, less attention has been given to conditional SEMs (CSEM), which expresses the variability for scores of individual students. This tutorial summarizes how to obtain CSEMs for each of the three methods, illustrates the concepts on real writing assessment data, and provides computational resources for CSEMs including an example of a specification file for the FACETS program for MFRM and R code to compute CSEMs for G-theory

This article reports from a study of reliability in the Swedish national reading test in ninth grade. Based on a representative sample of 500 students, the study investigates internal consistency and power to discriminate between different levels of reading ability. Data was analyzed using both classical test theory and Rasch modelling. Results from the study suggest that neither the subscales nor the whole scale of items included in the test reach desirable levels of internal consistency. Three out of four subscales include items with strikingly low degree of internal correlation (.23–.46). Furthermore, results from the Rasch analysis suggest that the test is capable of reliable separation between two groups of test-takers only: lower performing students and higher performing students. The empirical support for categorizing student performances into six separate grade levels is therefore questionable. Implications for future development of the national test of reading are discussed
Radial distribution of stars, gas and dust in SINGS galaxies. I. Surface photometry and morphology
We present ultraviolet through far-infrared surface brightness profiles for
the 75 galaxies in the Spitzer Infrared Nearby Galaxies Survey (SINGS). The
imagery used to measure the profiles includes GALEX UV data, optical images
from KPNO, CTIO and SDSS, near-IR data from 2MASS, and mid- and far-infrared
images from Spitzer. Along with the radial profiles, we also provide
multi-wavelength asymptotic magnitudes and several non-parametric indicators of
galaxy morphology: the concentration index (C_42), the asymmetry (A), the Gini
coefficient (G) and the normalized second-order moment of the brightest 20% of
the galaxy's flux (M_20). Our radial profiles show a wide range of morphologies
and multiple components (bulges, exponential disks, inner and outer disk
truncations, etc.) that vary not only from galaxy to galaxy but also with
wavelength for a given object. In the optical and near-IR, the SINGS galaxies
occupy the same regions in the C_42-A-G-M_20 parameter space as other normal
galaxies in previous studies. However, they appear much less centrally
concentrated, more asymmetric and with larger values of G when viewed in the UV
(due to star-forming clumps scattered across the disk) and in the mid-IR (due
to the emission of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons at 8.0 microns and very hot

Audience awareness in elementary school students’ texts: Variations within and between grades 1–3
In this study, we investigated audience awareness characteristics in elementary school students’ texts. To achieve this goal, we used a cross-sectional study design and sampled texts from 90 students in grades 1–3 (N = 270). These texts formed a corpus that was qualitatively analyzed by the research team. We used descriptive statistics to identify audience awareness patterns. Based on previous research, we expected to find considerable variation within and between grades. Therefore, we posed the following two research questions: (1) What characterizes audience awareness within grades 1–3? and (2) How does audience awareness develop between grades 1–3? We found that students used various rhetorical moves oriented toward the audience, such as greetings and closings, meta-text, explanations, and justifications. The results indicated that the students exhibited several characteristics related to audience awareness in all three grades. However, the variation within the grades was significant, while the variation between the grades was less pronounced.publishedVersio
Low HIV incidence in pregnant and postpartum women receiving a community-based combination HIV prevention intervention in a high HIV incidence setting in South Africa
BACKGROUND:
Young Southern African women have the highest HIV incidence globally. Pregnancy doubles
the risk of HIV acquisition further, and maternal HIV acquisition contributes significantly
to the paediatric HIV burden. Little data on combination HIV prevention interventions during
pregnancy and lactation are available. We measured HIV incidence amongst pregnant and
postpartum women receiving a community-based combination HIV prevention intervention
in a high HIV incidence setting in South Africa.
METHODS:
A cohort study that included HIV-uninfected pregnant women was performed. Lay community-
based workers provided individualized HIV prevention counselling and performed
three-monthly home and clinic-based individual and couples HIV testing. Male partners
were referred for circumcision, sexually transmitted infections or HIV treatment as appropriate.
Kaplan-Meier analyses and Cox's regression were used to estimate HIV incidence and
factors associated with HIV acquisition. RESULTS
The 1356 women included (median age 22.5 years) received 5289 HIV tests. Eleven new
HIV infections were detected over 828.3 person-years (PY) of follow-up, with an HIV incidence
rate of 1.33 infections/100 PY (95% CI: 0.74±2.40). Antenatally, the HIV incidence
rate was 1.49 infections/100 PY (95% CI: 0.64±2.93) and postnatally the HIV incidence rate
was 1.03 infections/100 PY (95% CI: 0.33±3.19). 53% of male partners received HIV testing
and 66% of eligible partners received referral for circumcision. Women within known serodiscordant
couples, and women with newly diagnosed HIV-infected partners, adjusted hazard
ratio (aHR) = 32.7 (95% CI: 3.8±282.2) and aHR = 126.4 (95% CI: 33.8±472.2) had
substantially increased HIV acquisition, respectively. Women with circumcised partners had
a reduced risk of incident HIV infection, aHR = 0.22 (95% CI: 0.03±1.86).
CONCLUSIONS:
Maternal HIV incidence was substantially lower than previous regional studies. Community-based
combination HIV prevention interventions may reduce high maternal HIV incidence in
resource-poor settings. Expanded roll-out of home-based couples HIV testing and initiating
pre-exposure prophylaxis for pregnant women within serodiscordant couples is needed in

A longitudinal intervention study of the effects of increasing amount of meaningful writing across grades 1 and 2
The current study examined the effectiveness of a writing is caught approach with young developing writers in Norway. This method is based on the premise that writing competence is acquired naturally through real use in meaningful contexts. Our longitudinal randomized control trial study tested this proposition by examining if increasing first grade students’ opportunities to write in various genres for different purposes and for a range of audiences over a two-year time period improved the quality of their writing, handwriting fluency, and attitude towards writing. The study included data from 942 students (50.1% girls) in 26 schools randomly assigned to the experimental treatment, and 743 students (50.6% girls) in 25 schools randomly assigned to the business-as-usual (BAU) control condition. Across Grades 1 and 2, experimental teachers were asked to supplement their typical writing instruction by implementing 40 writing activities designed to increase students’ purposeful writing. Increasing experimental students’ writing over the two-year period did not result in statistically detectable differences in the writing quality, handwriting fluency, and attitude towards writing of students in the experimental and BAU control conditions. These findings did not provide support for the effectiveness of the writing is caught approach. Implications for theory, research, and practiced are discussed

Ideen ble satt ut i live gjennom et hovedprosjekt ved HiG, våren 2003. Prosjektets tittel var ”A-Pressen Interaktiv – På nett med ungdom” og hadde som mål å utvikle flere forskjellige tjenester rettet mot ungdommen. På grunn av at A-Pressen i løpet av våren og sommeren 2003 skiftet til den JAVA-baserte teknologien, Escenic, ble det ferdige produktet aldri klart til implementering. På samme tid kom også VG med sin versjon, noe som også gjorde det lite motiverende å jobbe videre med applikasjonen.
Siden forrige løsning aldri ble ferdigstilt vil OA nå på nytt forsøke å få implementert gratulasjonsløsninger i nettavisen. Identifying texts in the Warning Zone: Empirical foundation of a screening instrument to adapt early writing instruction
This article addresses the basis for the development of the screening tool Norwegian Early Writers Signal (NEWS). The aim of the study was to develop a tool for teachers in grades 1–3 to identify student texts in ‘the Warning Zone’, i.e., texts that signal insufficient overall text quality associated with students in need of extra instructional support. Text norms were elicited from a panel of 14 experts in a standardsetting seminar. The standard-setting procedure was a benchmarking-like approach in which panelists chose texts that according to their judgement were in the Warning Zone. Additionally, in an online questionnaire, data on experts’ expectation growth pattern for eight text quality aspects in grades 1–3 were collected. Furthermore, student texts in the Warning Zone were marked and then included in the screening tool to concretize the norms, showing that texts in this zone can take several shapes.
