Variants of Meir-Keeler Fixed Point Theorem And Applications of Soft Set-Valued Maps

    Get PDF
In this paper, we prove a Meir-Keeler type common fixed point theorem for two mappings for which the range set of the first one is a family of soft sets, called soft set-valued map and the second is a point-to-point mapping. In addition, it is also shown that under some suitable conditions, a soft set-valued map admits a selection having a unique fixed point. In support of the obtained result, nontrivial examples are provided. The novelty of the presented idea herein is that it extends the Meir-Keeler fixed point theorem and the theory of selections for multivalued mappings from the case of crisp mappings to the frame of soft set-valued maps. Finally, an application of soft setvalued maps in decision making problems is considered

We introduced a notion of topological vector space valued cone metric space and obtained some common fixed point results. Our results generalize some recent results in the literature

We prove a result on points of coincidence and common fixed points for three self-mappings satisfying generalized contractive type conditions in cone metric spaces. We deduce some results on common fixed points for two self-mappings satisfying contractive type conditions in cone metric spaces. These results generalize some well-known recent results

Fifth and fourth millennium BC in north-western Iran: Dalma and Pisdeli revisited

    Get PDF
This paper discusses the nature of Dalma and Pisdeli cultures, their regional and interregional interactions and expansions in 5th millennium BC. It discusses old and new excavations and surveys as well. According to the importance of the material from these periods found at newly-excavated sites such as Kul Tepe Jolfa, Dava Göz Khoy, Lavin Tepe, and Qosha Tepe, we briefly describe the main stratigraphic and material data from these sites. Old and new data from excavations and surveys eventually lead us to a new chronological table for the 5th millennium BC in north/western (NW) Iran. The implications of the finds are discussed along with their limitations and future research directions.V članku razpravljamo o naravi kultur Dalma in Pisdeli, o njunih regionalnih in medregionalnih interakcijah in širjenju v 5. tisočletju pr. n.

The influence of female:male ratio of Fayoumi layers on fertility, hatchability of eggs and chicks livability | Influencia de la relaciĂłn macho:hembra de ponedoras Fayoumi sobre la fertilidad, eclosiĂłn de huevos y viabilidad de los polluelos

To examine the effect of male:female ratio on the fertility and hatchability of eggs and chicks livability in Fayoumi layers, three groups were managed where each of 8, 9 and 10 hens were offered 1 cock for mating. Study was carried out at the Poultry Experimental Station, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam during 2005. Average initial egg weight in group C (10 layers) was significantly (

Strategic decision making in international firms: effect of top management team internationalization on international strategic decision process

In this research project, I have integrated two research streams on international strategic decisions making in international firms: upper echelons or top management teams (TMT) internationalization research and international strategic decision making process research. Both research streams in international business literature have evolved independently, but there is a potential in combining these two streams of research. The first empirical paper “TMT internationalization and international strategic decision making process: a decision level analysis of rationality, speed, and performance” explores the influence of TMT internationalization on strategic decision rationality and speed and, subsequently, their effect on international strategic decision effectiveness (performance). The results show that the internationalization of TMT is positively related to decision effectiveness and this relationship is mediated by decision rationality while the hypotheses regarding the association between TMT internationalization and decision speed, and the mediating effect of speed were not supported. The second paper “TMT internationalization and international strategic decision rationality: the mediating role of international information” of my thesis is a simple but logical extension of first paper. The first paper showed that TMT Internationalization has a significant positive effect on international strategic decision rationality. The second paper explicitly showed that TMT internationalization affect on international strategic decision rationality comes from two sources: international experience (personal international knowledge and information) and international information collected from managerial international contacts. For this research project, I have collected data from international software firms in Pakistan. My research contributes to the literature on upper echelons theory and strategic decision making in context of international business and international firms by explicitly examining the link between TMT internationalization and characteristics of strategic decisions making process (i.e. rationality and speed) in international firms and their possible mediating effect on performance

summary:The existence of minimal and maximal fixed points for monotone operators defined on probabilistic Banach spaces is proved. We obtained sufficient conditions for the existence of coupled fixed point for mixed monotone condensing multivalued operators

Gender Issues in Children’s Literature: An Analysis of Fairytales

This paper intends to explore the reasons of gender discrimination indifferent segments of Pakistani society at grass root level. This study isbased on qualitative content analysis of children’s literature from whichthe most popular corpse of ten English fairytales purposively. Activitiesof different characters along with their social were selected andeconomic status, behavioral traits, gendered messages and thematic roleswere analyzed by using coding frame for manifest and stimulus clues forlatent information. This content analysis research indicates that genderdifference is an integral part of the fairy tales which shows female genderinferior to male. A detailed qualitative analysis of these selectedfairytales cited that gender issues start from titles and prevail throughoutthe fairytales. Males had proper names but girls were known with theirattributive names in the titles. The study suggests a need for drasticchange behaviorally, psychologically and materially (in our children’sliterature and particularly in fairytales) to keep pace with the 21st century, which demands us to be more creative, active and innovative withscientific approach instead of becoming an escapist

    Kannan type mapping . . .

    Get PDF
We obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of a common fixed point of three mappings satisfying Kannan type conditions in TVS valued cone metric spaces. We also give an application by finding the solution for a system of two Urysohn integral equations. Our results generalize several well-known recent results in the literature
