    An Innovative Approach of High Performance CMOS Based Current Conveyor-II for ASP Applications

    The main purpose of the paper is to present a CMOS current conveyor circuit which is best suited for the implementation of low- voltage, low-power and high bandwidth circuits. To achieve the bandwidth of current transfer function the circuit can be operated for a power supply of fraction of volt which is of MHz range and a power consumption of milli-watt range. Firstly, a class A current conveyor circuit operating from a single supply of fraction of volt having a high voltage swing capability is discussed and then the same circuit is modi#64257ed to work as a class AB with a low voltage power supply in the fraction of volt range, while maintaining the same voltage swing capability. The body effect causes the threshold voltage variation and the current circuit realization is insensitive to it, which minimizes the layout area and makes both the circuits a valuable addition to the analog signal processing applications. The proposed structure has the required performance in terms of a bandwidth with level 3 CMOS technology and it operates as a linear circuit which is established with the help of 0.3 microm simulation using the PSpice software. In the field of analog signal processing this proposed current conveyor circuit has many applications. At 0.2microm the proposed circuit operates satisfactorily with high performance with the desired applications. The desired properties and the performance of the proposed circuit are confirmed by the PSpice simulation with the modeled parameters

    In Vitro Study on total Phenols, Flavonoids Content and DPPH Activity of Withania Species

    The escalating interest in appraisal of antioxidant power of herbal plant as medicine, the current study was carried out to explore the antioxidant potential of aqueous extracts of Withania somnifera root and Withania coagulan fruit in-vitro. Antioxidant activity; total phenol,total flavonoids and DPPH free radical scavenging assay of Withania somnifera root and Withania coagulans fruit aqueous extracts were determined by using reference standards gallic acid, quercetin and ascorbic acid, respectively. The highest total phenols content (mgGAE/g) and total flavonoids content (mgQE/g) was found to be 33.1±0.82 and 1.86±0.01 respectively in aqueous somnifera root extracts as compared to coagulans fruit extract . The DPPH radical scavenging activity of the both extracts was increased with the increasing concentration and was observed high in aqueous extract insomniferaroot (IC50= 54) than coagulans fruit (69μg/ml) aqueous extract.Thus,Withania somnifera root has potent antioxidant activity and may serve as a good pharmacotherapeutic agent which could be explored to provide affordable medicines to masses

    Derivatization Ion Chromatography for the Determination of Monoethanolamine in Presence of Hydrazine in PHWR Steam-Water Circuits

    A simple, rapid and accurate method for the determination of monoethanolamine (MEA) in PHWR steam-water circuits has been developed. MEA is added in the feed water to provide protection against corrosion while hydrazine is added to scavenge dissolved oxygen. The quantitative determination of MEA in presence of hydrazine was accomplished using derivatization ion chromatography with conductometric detection in nonsuppressed mode. A Metrosep cation 1-2 analytical column and a Metrosep cartridge were used for cation separation. A mixture of 4 mM tartaric acid, 20% acetone and 0.05 mM HNO3 was used as eluent. Acetone in the mobile phase leads to the formation of different derivatives with MEA and hydrazine. The interferences due Na+ and NH4 + were eliminated by adopting a simple pretreatment procedure employing OnGuard-H cartridge. The limit of detection limit of MEA was 0.1 μg mL−1 and the relative standard deviation was 2% for the overall method. The recovery of MEA added was in the range 95%–102%. The method was applied to the determination of MEA in steam generator water samples

In order to increase the efficiency the reduction of conduction losses is one way to approach. Sequentially to decrease the conduction losses in the quasi z-source inverter the replacement of diode is replacing with switches is proposed which is also called as synchronous rectification. The paper represents basics of the approach, analysis and comparison of the power losses of the traditional and proposed designs of the grid connected PV-system with quasi z-source inverter system. In the present article, we have attempted to review different characteristics of the pods, tounderstand its health benefits. Various phytoconstituents like tannins (gallic acid), steroids (stigmasterol,campesterol, sitosterol, etc.), Flavone derivatives (prosogerin A, B, C, D, and E), alkaloids (spicigerine,prosophylline), etc. have been isolated from the sangri pods .As this plant is found in water stress (or deficient area)so antioxidant potential of pods has also been discussed. Prosopis cineraria (L) Druce is one of the highly valuedplant in the Indigenous System of Medicine. P. cineraria pods provide protein, iron, vitamins A and C and othermicro minerals Unripe pods are also nutritious and are used to prepare curries and pickles.     The Green Bank Ammonia Survey (GAS): First Results of NH3 mapping the Gould Belt

    We present an overview of the first data release (DR1) and first-look science from the Green Bank Ammonia Survey (GAS). GAS is a Large Program at the Green Bank Telescope to map all Gould Belt star-forming regions with AV7A_V \gtrsim 7 mag visible from the northern hemisphere in emission from NH3_3 and other key molecular tracers. This first release includes the data for four regions in Gould Belt clouds: B18 in Taurus, NGC 1333 in Perseus, L1688 in Ophiuchus, and Orion A North in Orion. We compare the NH3_3 emission to dust continuum emission from Herschel, and find that the two tracers correspond closely. NH3_3 is present in over 60\% of lines-of-sight with AV7A_V \gtrsim 7 mag in three of the four DR1 regions, in agreement with expectations from previous observations. The sole exception is B18, where NH3_3 is detected toward ~ 40\% of lines-of-sight with AV7A_V \gtrsim 7 mag. Moreover, we find that the NH3_3 emission is generally extended beyond the typical 0.1 pc length scales of dense cores. We produce maps of the gas kinematics, temperature, and NH3_3 column densities through forward modeling of the hyperfine structure of the NH3_3 (1,1) and (2,2) lines. We show that the NH3_3 velocity dispersion, σv{\sigma}_v, and gas kinetic temperature, TKT_K, vary systematically between the regions included in this release, with an increase in both the mean value and spread of σv{\sigma}_v and TKT_K with increasing star formation activity.     Droplets I: Pressure-Dominated Sub-0.1 pc Coherent Structures in L1688 and B18

    We present the observation and analysis of newly discovered coherent structures in the L1688 region of Ophiuchus and the B18 region of Taurus. Using data from the Green Bank Ammonia Survey (GAS), we identify regions of high density and near-constant, almost-thermal, velocity dispersion. Eighteen coherent structures are revealed, twelve in L1688 and six in B18, each of which shows a sharp "transition to coherence" in velocity dispersion around its periphery. The identification of these structures provides a chance to study the coherent structures in molecular clouds statistically. The identified coherent structures have a typical radius of 0.04 pc and a typical mass of 0.4 Msun, generally smaller than previously known coherent cores identified by Goodman et al. (1998), Caselli et al. (2002), and Pineda et al. (2010). We call these structures "droplets." We find that unlike previously known coherent cores, these structures are not virially bound by self-gravity and are instead predominantly confined by ambient pressure. The droplets have density profiles shallower than a critical Bonnor-Ebert sphere, and they have a velocity (VLSR) distribution consistent with the dense gas motions traced by NH3 emission. These results point to a potential formation mechanism through pressure compression and turbulent processes in the dense gas. We present a comparison with a magnetohydrodynamic simulation of a star-forming region, and we speculate on the relationship of droplets with larger, gravitationally bound coherent cores, as well as on the role that droplets and other coherent structures play in the star formation process.Comment: Accepted by ApJ in April, 201
