The main objective of this research was to determine the influence of work motivation on job satisfaction, determine the effect of work motivation on employees performance and determine the effect of job satisfaction on employees performance. Types of research used in this research is the explanation (explanatory research) with a quantitative approach. The samples totaling 34 employees and a saturated sample. Analysis of the data in this study using descriptive analysis and path analysis. To analyze the data using SPSS version 17.0 for Windows. Based on the results of path analysis showed that work motivation variable (X) has a significant influence on job satisfaction (Y1) with a value of 0000. Job Motivation variable (X) has a significant influence on Employee Job Performance (Y2) with a value of 0.041. Job Satisfaction (Y1) has a significant influence on Employees Job Performance (Y2) with a value of 0.037

Passively mode-locked laser using an entirely centred erbium-doped fiber

This paper describes the setup and experimental results for an entirely centred erbium-doped fiber laser with passively mode-locked output. The gain medium of the ring laser cavity configuration comprises a 3 m length of two-core optical fiber, wherein an undoped outer core region of 9.38 μm diameter surrounds a 4.00 μm diameter central core region doped with erbium ions at 400 ppm concentration. The generated stable soliton mode-locking output has a central wavelength of 1533 nm and pulses that yield an average output power of 0.33 mW with a pulse energy of 31.8 pJ. The pulse duration is 0.7 ps and the measured output repetition rate of 10.37 MHz corresponds to a 96.4 ns pulse spacing in the pulse train

Globalization lately has an impact on Islamic education of Muslim society. In Indonesia, the Islamic education currently has a great contribution to national development. But it is not easy to achieve the purpose of Islamic education because of a problem with the concept and method of Islamic education itself. This research examines the current Islamic education thought, according to Azyumardi Azra. This is a literature study using content analysis and critical approach. As the results and conclusion, I found that Azyumardi Azra’s thought that Moslem people can answer the modernity only by become of Islamic education that Muslims people should answer the modernity by modern education, with integrating between the classical model of Islamic education and modern western education, building the Islamic education more inclusive, liberal, and democratic. Some critics for this, the modernization in Islamic education developed by Azyumardi Azra was influenced by the western thought especially the view of pluralism and liberalization where this view need to criticised within Islamic worldview

Conductance Measurement of Water-sorbed Activated Carbon

    Get PDF
The conductance of a piece of I1ctivated carbon has been measured while immersed under water at five different temperatures. The change in conductance with time has been attributed to the ionization of the functional groups on the walls of the pores as the latter were gradually filled. The average pore radius has been estimated by using the equations derived to relate the increase in the conductance to the rate of flow of water into the pores

The Effects of Sorbed Alkali Metal Ions on the Conductance of Activated Carbon

The rate of increase of the conductance of activated carbon immersed in NaCl solutions was found to be lOE.'er when the concentration of the salt was increased. This was probably due to the increase in the viscosity of the solutions which prevented the filling of the pores to the same extent as in the case of pure water. In addition, the final conductance of the sample was also lowered. The opposite effect was however observed in HCl solution. Measurements in the presence of Li + and K + suggested that the mobility of the ions determined the.final value

Nutritional supplement intake knowledge among university active graduates

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study is to examine the nutritional supplement intake knowledge among university athletes. Fifty-one university athletes volunteered to participate in this survey study. Results showed the nutritional supplement intake was significantly higher compared to the knowledge that they have about the supplements. Besides that, the performance was significantly greater compared to the supplement intake. To conclude, it is important for the coaches to educate their athletes on the importance and risks of nutritional supplements in order to ensure great performance achieved besides reducing the risks of getting the negative effects of supplements. Keywords: supplement, health, sports, training, knowledg

Students’ Conceptions of Learning Using Animations

This study explored the integration of animations in lessons designed using the Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework to enhance students’ conceptual understanding in the processes of diffusion and osmosis. The study was conducted in a secondary school involving 22 Year 12 students. Data was collected using the Osmosis and Diffusion Conceptual Assessment (ODCA), which is a two-tier diagnostic test administered before and after the lessons. The lessons were designed using an action research cycle, integrated with the TPACK matrix. There were four cycles to address the students’ knowledge dimension, which scaffolds from lower order thinking to higher order thinking (declarative, procedural, schematic and strategic). The paired sample t-test was used to analyse the data and the findings revealed significant differences in the students’ conceptual understanding after the animation-integrated lessons were carried out. The intervention was successful as proven from the large effect size, together with the increased frequency of students having selected the correct responses in the ODCA
